The world has continued to revolved, despite the turmoils of issues such as poverty. In this photo, we could see not only one but three indifference and carelessness of the individuals around us. Through the years, more and more people live in the streets of the Phillipines - without food and shelter.

Brick layers by the shore of the Massawan anchorage. Most of them are soldiers

This is one of the nice views of the hills I captured on photo a couple of days ago.

The reason is that the there are a number of hills where the bigger ones are further which makes it very artistic to me.

Oh how I love the layers of a zinnia. They are one of my top favorite flowers!

On one of the most beautiful spring days I was walking on the ice of the Baltic close to Naantali. Came across these red wigs between seaweed at the shore and pine forest.

Layer Marney Tower - the tallest Tudor gatehouse in England

Layer Marney Tower is a beautiful Tudor building surrounded by formal gardens and parkland with magnificent views to the Blackwater estuary. Situated between Colchester and Maldon in Essex, the house was built around 1520 by Henry, 1st Lord Marney.

This shape is a cube, inside an octahedron, inside another cube, inside another octahedron. Simple in theory, tough in practice!

Giant leaves on a wild bog plant partially lit with the sun.

It reminds me of canyons.

1. I've always been a creative person and am glad that at this point in my life I have decided to spend more time and effort on being creative...and wherever that may take me.

2. I've lived lots of different places in the world...but always in an old house...it just feels right...and my present house is over 100 years old!

3. I have many acquaintances and casual friends but my inner circle is small and tight.

4. My sister is my best friend and it pains me that she is suffering from a chronic disease.

5. My partner is one of my strongest supporters and he lets me be me.

6. The perfect end to the day is a glass of red wine.

7. I am obsessed with rusty metal, peeling paint, letters and numbers.

8. Though I love the outdoors and cherish a beautiful garden, I have a black thumb...and really no desire to ever have it be green.

9. Blogging has been more enjoyable than I ever thought it would be...it has opened up a whole new creative vein for me.

10. If someone would have told me 10 years ago that I would be enchanted with photography and participating in a year long photography course, I would have thought they were crazy!

Someone knocked over a poster column on St. George St. The bottom looked singed, for some reason. You can see the accumulated layers of paper.

In GIS, we work with layered maps, with data piled on top of more data.

This picture reminds me of that.

Neat layers of bubbles in ice. The ice is about 6-8 inches thick here, and formed some very intriguing shapes.

A short eastbound NS manifest climbs uphill between Portage and Lilly on the West Slope late on a somewhat cloudy afternoon. Still, the hill is steep enough to require helpers pushing on the rear.
