We're on the 7 Tilden working the mine with a pair of U30Cs. The LS&I in the early 1990's was a great place to learn railroading and practice photography. Friendly visitor policies were still in effect but widespread fan attention had moved on. Cab ride offers were not uncommon and day shift crews were long on seniority, these guys had stories for days and would regale you with anecdotes all the way from Eagle Mills to the mine or dock and back.
They were true pros and knew every job on the railroad backward and forward. This trainman rides the steps of the 3000 along the pellet-strewn tracks headed for a joint with a cut of loaded cars. I'm grateful to have experienced this era before the passes went away and the fences went up. As usual I wish I had more pictures of these guys (or a DSLR) but this one has always been a favorite of mine showing some of what made this a special time and place.

Todays mundane wedgie is NS 18E at Harrison, Ky on September 17, 2025. This was the start of a hectic two mile, 6 minute chase. It then sat a Waddy for the next four hours. I was shocked how clean it was. Did it get repainted or just a good wash job?

The rear of London Country's garage in Park Street West, Luton (LS) in the early 1970s. This was originally the premises of Strawhatter Coaches, taken over by London Transport in 1934; it closed in 1977. The Austin Cambridge and Ford Cortina were presumably owned by staff.

E essa foi minha escolha....
Depois de fazer a Mix'n Match Candy da sobrinha fiquei sem muita vontade de ficar horas fazendo algo elaborado, então resolvi usar o meu tão desejado Can't Let Go....
Não me decepcionei em nada.
Ficou tão lindo maravilhoso salve, salve! quanto eu imaginei.
AMEI!
2 camadas de muita beleza!
=D
UPDATE:
Achei lindo BUT tenho uma reclamação dele:
Hoje (não deu 2 dias de uso) ele está meio "desbotado" por cima... Ou diminuiu a "aspereza" dele. Não sei explicar... Mas ficou feio.
Fiz trabalhos domésticos tipo: lavar roupa (a máquina que lava né, tu só coloca e tira), fiz comida e lavei a louça... Se isso for o suficiente pra estragar uma esmaltação estaríamos todas (ou quase) fu.... kkkk
Ficou bem diferente do primeiro dia de uso, cor e textura... Estranhei.
O fato é que hoje a noite me obrigo a trocar a esmaltação.
Vocês já tinha "ouvido" falar isso dele?
When we first discussed the idea of posing in front of the camera LS was quite nervous about it. Since we're both photographers the deal was she'd pose for me if I do the same for her. Somehow I got out of this one without having to pose in front of the camera (thank god, that'd have been ugly). From the way this picture turned out I think she's a natural model. Will have to borrow her again some other time.
