Besides ceiling lights, LEDs can also be used for under-cabinet lights in the kitchen or dressing area. It is estimated that residential LEDs use at least 75% less energy than incandescent lightings and last 25% longer as well. This translates to a considerably large amount of utilities savings if one were to pick LED lightings over incandescent lightings for lights that are subject to prolonged use.

Therefore one should remember to wipe the bulbs and surfaces of lights free of dust with a wet cloth and to change the light lenses when they start to yellow. Performing these simple maintenance procedures will ensure that your home is being lighted efficiently at all times.
