Animated design of a 2' x 2' high density LED grow setup. Using Snowryder to compensate for the decreased light penetration of the LED's. Snowryder grows to a height of 12 - 14 inches giving a good yield of 15 - 25 gr per plant. In this 4 square foot area there are 16 plants...do the math! I show the use of 1, 2, and 4 LED panels. Due to the fact that the LED's can be 2 - 6" from the plants and the directional properties of LED's, I prefer the 4 panel configuration as it will tend to give less problems with shadows and compensate better for the short comings of LED's.

We went to a concert by a band called "Whole Lotta Led" who are, as you may have guessed a Led Zeppelin tribute band. Naturally they played Stairway to Heaven and the lead used this twin neck guitar. Unfortunately they did the whole song in almost blackout. But, I like the strong shadows created on this one.

A sample of how RS1.0 are stabled in a fixture. Because all 6 LEDs are on a 9" aluminum PCB, the heat dissipation is pretty good even if some of the back surface may not be touching. What this means is that the craftsmanship of DIYer is not so demanding. :)

LED TUBE LIGHT-------LED-SHIFT-LIGHTING
Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) and incandescents could both be left in the dark by LEDs or Light-Emitting-Diodes. SHENZHEN JINGJING TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD. , as a leading lighting company, are racing to release traditional-bulb-shaped or tube-shaped LEDs which is instant replacement of old bulbs and tubes. They last five to ten times as long as CFLs without upkeep. , contain no mercury and use far less energy ( up to 70% less electricity ), not to mention incandescents. Although they cost two or three times as much as unfamous brand CFLs or halogen bulbs, they pay for themselves ! Typical return on investment is 2 years in energy saving alone ! When you factor in maintenance of traditional lighting some customers have seen 1 year return on investment. So it is not wise to still burning money on old lights.

MaxM has four 8-bit analog inputs, usable in BlinkM light scripts or as an I2C input device. Here Inputs #0,#1,#2 are hooked up to three potentiometer knobs which control the amount of Red, Green, and Blue. An Arduino is also talking to the MaxM over I2C, uploading new light scripts and reading the inputs too.
The MaxM is being powered by Arduino, which in turn is being powered by a laptop.
