LED TUBE LIGHT-------LED-SHIFT-LIGHTING
Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) and incandescents could both be left in the dark by LEDs or Light-Emitting-Diodes. SHENZHEN JINGJING TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD. , as a leading lighting company, are racing to release traditional-bulb-shaped or tube-shaped LEDs which is instant replacement of old bulbs and tubes. They last five to ten times as long as CFLs without upkeep. , contain no mercury and use far less energy ( up to 70% less electricity ), not to mention incandescents. Although they cost two or three times as much as unfamous brand CFLs or halogen bulbs, they pay for themselves ! Typical return on investment is 2 years in energy saving alone ! When you factor in maintenance of traditional lighting some customers have seen 1 year return on investment. So it is not wise to still burning money on old lights.

inside Eleven homes
The series Eleven is a collection of images documenting the interiors of
Frank Relle’s immediate families’ homes. Below is an excerpt from Frank’s
interview with writer Patrick Strange.
Relle’s current creations reveal bare portraits of interior spaces-often eye-level
accounts of everyday household objects and furniture. Like an inventory of life’s
generic commodities, many of the new images border on the mundane, centering
on such items like Norman Rockwell-screened throw pillows, dirty oven mitts, a
set of kitchen knives, a stack of paperback books, an over-sized plastic coin bank
shaped as a Budweiser bottle. At first, the images seem unremarkable, but as one
follows the pathways of Relle’s wandering eye, a pattern begins to emerge. These
photographs are not just a catalogue of materials, but attest to the fragile lives of
those who possess them and-in the regional context of southern Louisiana—they
suggest the nature of things that can so quickly be lost.
“After the scare of Hurricane Gustav, I started thinking, ‘Why the hell do we
keep doing this?’” Relle says. “And I realized that it was because of family.
My connection to New Orleans is more than habit, it’s because my family is here.
So, I started to ask myself what that really means—what it means to build a life that
can be washed away.”
Thus, Relle’s inquisitions have led him to the countertops and bedposts of his
childhood, and forced him to reconsider the worth of objects that have been
present from his earliest memories.
“It becomes a question of why the objects in our daily lives are important and
why they are glorified,” Relle says. “Is it because they are glorious before they are
destroyed, or is it only in the drama of loss that they are glorified? All I can do is
keep asking.”
Such questions may never be answered, but that doesn’t seem to keep Relle from
pondering the meaning of that which surrounds him. And as long as he continues
to investigate the objects and spaces that populate our lives-no matter the method
or the final result-those inanimate things will only continue to reveal secrets about
our inner selves.
Is it only in the drama of loss that the objects
of our daily lives are glorified?
“The cruel iron ‘jougs’ still hanging outside the east door are a reminder of that period of which the Church of Scotland cannot feel proud, the late 17th and 18th centuries when excessive zeal led to its efforts to regulate the lives of its members with a strict, narrow discipline more suited to the Old Testament than the New. As part of this discipline, the “stool of repentance’ in front of the pulpit could have a number of occupants and offenders would be confined by the neck in the jougs “from the going in of the kirk till the coming out of the same”. An entry in the church records of 1705 “Many witches burnt at Spott Loan” also refers to this period of oppressive, if well-intentioned, rule.”
Spott history by Rev Duncan Turner Dated 1982
“The jougs, juggs, or joggs (Old French: joug, from Latin iugum, a yoke) is a metal collar formerly used as an instrument of punishment in Scotland, the Netherlands and other countries.”
“The jougs was an iron collar fastened by a short chain to a wall, often of the parish church, or to a tree or mercat cross. The collar was placed round the offender's neck and fastened by a padlock. Time spent in the jougs was intended to shame an offender publicly. Jougs were used for ecclesiastical as well as civil offences. Some surviving examples can still be seen in their original locations in Scottish towns and villages. Jougs may be the origin of the later slang word "jug", meaning prison.”
“Sir Walter Scott rescued the jougs from Threave Castle in the Borders and attached them to the castellated gateway he built at Abbotsford House.”
Jougs
“A small T-plan church which may have taken its present form in 1790 or (more likely) in 1809 when John Mason was in charge of repairs. Bellcote at the SW end; 17th-century burial aisle left over from an earlier church. The porch was added in 1848, and the old jougs hung up outside the door.

I was fortunate to take these Exterior Perspectives of Spott Church. The history in and around the Church is fascinating. The building itself has several sections from different remodelling and today does not run inline with the modern road. The road and trackways from the sea at St. Abbs and to the Priory at Coldingham were used for pilgrimages and processions by the clergy, congregation and the Knights Templar too.
Information on the Church and the local area is available in the Church at opening times. The stones both in and around the church are an excellent historic document. I was on a trip between two Megalithic Standing Stones and also to the Witches' Stone just outside the village of Spott.
We were very fortunate to find the Church open and I used available light to catch what I could of the interior. We were greeted and made welcome and shown some of the history of the area from the fantastic records that were in the Church. Some of these pictures might be further edited as I have not been well. The over emphasis on scrutinising images as you edit can bring about strange views, nothing that a cup of tea and time away from the screen cannot cure. I feel that I need to make a return visit and ask about using a tripod to bring out the light better.

Mutya Ng Ibaan Candidates Wrap Up Ibaan 179th Founding Celebration
By Taga Ibaan Ako
Mutya Ng Ibaan 2012 Candidates laid down the curtain for Municipality of Ibaan's week-long 179th Founding Celebration as they set fire on stage during their presentation at the jam-packed Medrano Plaza, February 11. Mayor Danny Toreja led everyone in this once in a lifetime experience that brought thrills and excitement among the attendees.
All of Ibaan's barangay fielded one candidate in an effort to give a clearer picture of the town's beauty and elegance. They started with a production number, swinging booties on the beat of pop music.
One by one, they walked across stage on their way to microphone and introduced themselves before the roaring crowd as the latter cheer for their favorites. Sporting skinny shorts and rolled-up yellow "Iba ang Ibaan" shirts, they then took turns traversing corners of extended Medrano Plaza stage to post strikingly and reveal good-gracious body body curves and figure.
The night was filled with nameless faces but can do nothing but to express their admiration to the candidates. No questions were asked to the candidates since the event was made to tease Ibaenos and to expect more of them until the coronation night in February 2011.
Appreciation should also be in place for Sangguniang Bayan Member Councilor Juvy Mendoza since she's the one who took charge of Mutya Ng Ibaan 2012 Pageant.
The event was attended by different personalities including 4th District Board Member Rowena Africa, Sangguniang Bayan members, Barangay Chairmen, municipal and barangay officials and expectators from around municipality.
Performers include a kid from Brgy. Lucsuhin singing popular slow rock ballads (i.e. Faithfully by Journey and Always by Bon Jovie) and the KALIBAYAN Group.
Past, Present And Future
In his speech, Mayor Toreja thanked everyone for their cooperation to make the seven-day spectacle that ran from February 5 to February 11, Friday. According to him, it's highly noticeable the simplicity of this year's celebration. There were limited activities that didn't bring much noise around town. Everyone may think that this might be due to budget constraints. However, he spilled better reasons for such. He said that this year's celebration is just the beginning of the 365 days countdown for Ibaan's 180th Founding Anniversary in 2012 which he promised to bring bang and glam set in grandeur. This will definitely showcase what are there to be found in Ibaan and what it has to offer, focusing on every barangay's products and specialties.
Moreover, he also mentioned that there will be a simple monthly celebration until February next year to remind everyone that the municipality is headed to its 180th year since 1832.
Vice Mayor Sixto Yabyabin on the other hand gave a recap of the week's activities. He said that there's one thing that should not be forgotten -that is to thank God Almighty for blessing Ibaan with great weather condition that allowed activities to culminate. He also assured everyone that his office, together with Sangguniang Bayan and employees of Ibaan Municipality will never stop thinking and executing plans and ideas to make next year's celebration an event to remember.
Meanwhile, BM Africa gave Ibaenos a glimpse of Lipa City's past by narrating some of the myths how the City was established. He encouraged Ibaenos to do their part in recounting the old Ibaan days and bring forth to present its history.
Batangas Provincial PIO Officer Jing Segismundo graced the event as a host/master of ceremony.

Animated design of a 2' x 2' high density LED grow setup. Using Snowryder to compensate for the decreased light penetration of the LED's. Snowryder grows to a height of 12 - 14 inches giving a good yield of 15 - 25 gr per plant. In this 4 square foot area there are 16 plants...do the math! I show the use of 1, 2, and 4 LED panels. Due to the fact that the LED's can be 2 - 6" from the plants and the directional properties of LED's, I prefer the 4 panel configuration as it will tend to give less problems with shadows and compensate better for the short comings of LED's.

Any attack on Syria is illegal under international law without approval of the U.N. Security Council. The White House is insisting on carrying out an attack without endorsement from the British Govt. or the Arab League and has said it will seek Congressional Approval but is willing to go ahead without it. The possibilities of alienating allies and igniting a regional war are alarming.
