Sam and myself took some long exposure pictures in the basement of Cord, in the northern quarter, manchester. One of us was posing while the other one was drawing shapes with an LED.
An all singing and dancing multimedia monolith. Working with Taig Design we produced this highly specced monolith to be used at series exhibitions & trade shows. The monolith was manufactured from a strong but light aluminium composite material & featured an array of interesting details which included an inlaid and internally illuminated company logo, a recessed and illuminated multi-shelf display area and a programable flatscreen monitor. The final touch was to finish off the display with the eye catching corporate id in vinyl graphics.

An earlier drilling test can be seen to the right of the LED's. As it stands I am not sure I am a fan of our current plan, each LED cluster will require 4 holes, which equates to 56 * 4 = 224 holes, each one of which needs to be pretty precisely placed to not over bend the LED leads and not to drill them so close that the holes merge.

Other than the intense heat of the evening and producing a slightly disproportionate girl I managed to raise money for the event by selling it pretty early on. Having said that excellent evening.

Interesting fact: Unlike incandescent bulbs, LED Christmas lights do not burn constantly. They flicker on/off many times per second. This photo illustrates that.
I forgot to unset the 2-second delay and pitched the camera forward to see what was wrong. While looking at the LCD screen, the camera took this 1/4 second shot.
While the CFLs and daylight in the picture are fluid, the LEDs on my deck are staccato.
