August 27, 2019 - I took some photos of my new kitchen with the Canon SLR. Time to give the iPhone camera a rest. Today Lowes came out and measured for the new window and backdoor window treatments. All that is left to do to complete the transformation is the installation of the missing trim between the top of the cabinets and the soffit. I also decided to add wood wall base where it had been removed by a previous owner. The contractor is having issues finding an exact match to the rest of the house so I am just going to go with a 4" high straight wall base painted to match the door frames.

Pictures of the painting I'm doing in the kitchen. The old colors were there when I moved in (especially the hideous green cabinets) and the room always looked grungy, even when it was spic and span. So I chose some bright and cheery colors for the room. It's not the remodeling that I'd really like to do, but it will make the room more fun to hang out and cook in.

Working on the kitchen backsplash

part of the kitchen is now raspberry jam in color, am definitely going to have to install under cabinet lighting

The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove, and fridge.

The base cabinet near the door is kind of neat with its curve. The tile backsplash is in poor condition. Luckily, it would be pretty easy to reproduce.

This part of the kitchen receives attention tomorrow. The plumber is scheduled to move pipes and fit the radiator. A quick splash of paint was placed on the wall in preparation.
