It seems so long ago now that since both Daisy (foreground) and Dolly joined our family from a world I could never wish on anyone. They went on to have a wonderful life with us, free to wander the garden (and kitchen), and enjoy daily treats of pasta, cheese, grapes and sweetcorn, amongst many other nibbles and cuddles. Their passing was a sad reminder of the creatures with come to love and the impact they have on our daily lives. And while many other newly rescued Chickens have joined our family and continue to live peacefully away from the awful world of battery farms, the original three - Dolly, Daisy and the beautiful Dixie - will never be forgotten.

Rustic kitchen with AEG appliances and plenty of light and Open space with Bi-Fold Doors

One of my board members at the gallery is an architect. This is an absolutely beautiful kitchen in a project they just completed. I dream of having this much counter space.

Maple cabinets, tumbled marble floor and back splash, Stainless Steel appliances, Viking oven and microwave.

I am not getting a kitchen for Christmas

Super bright sun today coming through the windows on the right.

The previous owners remodeled this kitchen ~1982 and the cabinets are original from when the house was built in 1967. The only thing I've changed is the fridge.

I really hope to be able to remodel my kitchen in the near future. Problem is that it's not cheap. :-/

For my Project 365 blog: Ways of looking at the World

I killed the shine on my moka pot by putting it in my parents dishwasher last week. It still makes the best coffee though. The new kitchen is looking fab though.

August 27, 2019 - I took some photos of my new kitchen with the Canon SLR. Time to give the iPhone camera a rest. Today Lowes came out and measured for the new window and backdoor window treatments. All that is left to do to complete the transformation is the installation of the missing trim between the top of the cabinets and the soffit. I also decided to add wood wall base where it had been removed by a previous owner. The contractor is having issues finding an exact match to the rest of the house so I am just going to go with a 4" high straight wall base painted to match the door frames.
