The Grand Trunk Railway built this station building in 1897 to replace the original, smaller building built in 1856 when the railway first arrived in Kitchener (then known as Berlin). The building originally had an impressive brick central tower topped by an ornate four-sided spire.

March 2004 - Not much has changed. We just added an island. We'll redo the entire kitchen at some point. Note the 1970's globe lighting fixture.
Very compact kitchen. Had some problems with the stove, but figured it out. The refrig is cool as it opens from either side and there are 2 freezer drawers but no cabinet drawers at all.
There are a good amount of cabinets, especially for the size! The appliances are all in good condition, too.

This area was probably the most fullfilling. The kitchen was a mess, wood paneling everywhere (painted white). The cabinets used to be in the garage at another housr. The little cabinet came from my Big Bear City house. The new owners wanted everything in this room.
