As I was heading out of the airport I saw this father and daughter playing accordions right by the exit. I tipped them and asked if I could take a quick photo. I stuck around and listened to a song and clapped enthusiastically after the performance. It was great to see his daughter smile and look proudly at her dad…. That 1 moment made my day.

Trying to get a little nostalgic effect on this image of Skipton Canal. Take on iPhone 13 Pro Max and processed in LightRoom Classic and NIK Collection Silver EFEX Pro 2.

Cotter Force in the Yorkshire Dales with lots of water flowing. Two second exposure seemed to produce the best results.

Imprisoned at home… or self isolating as it’s sometimes called.

However, we’re on the mend, and so grateful for the vaccine. We’re sure that the vaccines really gave us a mild version of the virus.

How good are the scientists that did this for us?!!

So though I can’t get out and about just yet, here’s a blossom photo I took a couple of weeks ago. It’s nearly all blown away now.

A view into Norwich. Have not been into the city for years and surprising how it has changed. Used the Park & Ride from the airport which was great until an accident stopped everything in it's tracks and we ended up walking into the last quarter of a mile.

Stormy weather over Interlaken, seen from Spiez on the 10th July 2024. Think this missed us but looked quite nasty if you were out on the lake. The boats on Lake Thun have been know to stop and wait while the storm passes. Wished I had been able to capture a lightning bolt....

Shot taken from our third floor balcony, it is a straight shot from the iPhone but clouds are impressive, directly above that castle tower looks like a little house in the clouds !!

It's surprising to see this crowding when there seems to be so much more free space.

In my camera club at Chalfont & Gerrards Cross, the Landscape annual competition it was awarded Highly Commended by judge Amanda Wright so quite pleased with that considering the other images of a high standard.

Then before we know it that tree will be full of conkers by September.

We’re having a period a rain at the moment; it gets in the way of outdoor activities!

The peace and calm before the storm

Not long after me and the dogs were out on a walk, and I took this photo, Storm Arwen came rolling in with freezing cold high winds and snow.

Some people have lost power, and some trucks are stuck in snow.

Fortunately, the only problem we’ve had is a break in the satellite signal… so no TV last night - not tried it today.

I’ve done a recce around our place and we just had a wheelbarrow blown over. We’re very lucky.

Stay safe everyone!

Happy Lancashire day 🌹🌹
