Taking pictures of the Tall Trees Trail in Tasmania. Never heard of a clinometer prior to then, and if I had, it slipped my mind. I caught some good angles of the trees. I used my iPhone in Portrait Mode and I was pleased with the outcome of this image!
For the longest time I could never understand why the City of Detroit would tear down a historic building with good bones just to replace it with something that won’t even last a third of the time as this old relic. This was the terminal for the former Boblo Island. A now defunct amusement park. The park was located on Bois Blanc Island, Ontario, just above the mouth of the Detroit River. The people of Detroit, Michigan, characterized it as the city's Coney Island. It was a fun time to be there. The park closed in the early 1990s missed by hundreds of thousands of people to this day. This old terminal could’ve easily been restored to its former glory. The SS Ste. Claire and SS Columbia were the steamships that transported passengers from Southwest Detroit to Bois Blanc Island, Ontario. Trivia: didja know that Bob-Lo (or Boblo) is an acronym for (Bo)is (Bl)anc, (O)ntario? As I stated in a previous post, I have ancestry on both sides of the pond and I have never known this! I’m sorry to see this relic go! The stories it could tell!

I have to wear my eyeglasses to see and my cochlear implants to hear. They are part of my everyday carry items.
I carefully framed the photo to fit within Macro Mondays size guidelines.
… this time in the pouring rain
We controlled the game, again; yet Stoke City managed to score in the 87th minute.
Our main problem is that we’re not clinical enough in front of goal.
In the photograph Burnley are taking a free kick that ended up going over the bar.
It’s really exciting and attractive football that we’re playing.

The scientific library of the Institute of Experimental Medicine (building on the left) was founded in 1891. The collection bases on 500 volumes from the personal library of Prince Alexander Petrovich of Oldenburg, who was a trustee and founder of the Institute.
Titterstone Hill also know as Clee Hill is the third highest in Shropshire and has a Radar Station and weather radome at the top.
The lower level of the car park has easy access to this view of lots of concrete pillars and structures that make little sense of what was here. Initially thought this was early radar system but it turns out this was a quite big quarry works with crushing plants. Graffiti is interesting and now many of the concrete remains are covered in spray paint.
Care needed wandering around here as collapsed roof has hidden dangers.
Shot is a wide angle panorama to capture the whole scene, taken with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. (Since my eye operation I could not carry any weighty items and a DSLR was not allowed.)
A regular walking route through Ribblehead Viaduct and off over the Dales towards Dent and beyond.
The construction was done by over 2,300 men but sadly over a 100 lost their lives during the work period.
It started 12th October 1871 so no health & safety rules then…..
It was actually quite cold in the mornings (late June which seems strange) and I did wonder if it was going to rain when I walked out to this vantage point.
Panorama shot on iPhone 13 Pro Max, processed in LightRoom Classic. The algorithm in the pano of the iPhone has given a sort of 3D effect on the end image?
I took this photo outside the cavaletto hotel which is almost next to St. Mark's Square. If you go very early in the morning or very late at night you will see all these gondolas there next to each other, with the waters being perfectly still at that point, and it is one of the best spots to play with them.
