The moment of observation is the real find ...

Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.

Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.

"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself"

First day of classes today and everything is turning out quite well. My inner creative fire has been lit again, no thanks to my constant inspirations around me. We've been given assignments in film class to start shooting photos and I'm excited to start. On that note, here's a photo I took during The Wild Ones photography workshop. It's not a large conceptualized piece (i.e levitation mutiples of objects or missing body parts) but that's the beauty with conceptual pieces, it can be anything.

This is just a really beautiful portrait of the famous and talented Cameron Bushong who has probably one of the most amazing eyes I've ever seen. It was a joy to photograph him and get to know him. I MISS YOU CAM!

Going to start taking more photos now, especially after I finish editing my old ones. Urgh.

My wife and I decided to take advantage of a cooler summer day and make the 90 minute trip to Starved Rock State Park in central Illinois yesterday.However,as any local knows,Starved Rock is a zoo on weekends with people,cars,motorcycles,and dogs overflowing the area.We instead visited Starved Rock light-Matthiessen State Park right down the road.It was also busy,but much less so, and at 4pm,the Chicago crowd have begun the trek back home.

Matthiessen is a beautiful and serene place this time of year,and the shaded pathways make hiking in the summer heat bearable.This is one the dells areas,one of many places there one can sit and commune with nature as well as appreciate life's quieter moments.Just remember to wear hiking shoes instead of leather sandals.It would kind of ruin the mood to break a leg....
