The first winter storm of the season (2022 to 2023) fell in Watford on Sunday 11th December.
After a very mild year it has been the first month to be colder than average. It is also the first time we had snow in 2 years. Read more soon on my round up at the end of this cold spell.

In case no one told you, don't buy boats with i/o engines. Go outboard. The cost of ownership is so much lower and you'll save yourself a lot of heartache. I recommend Yamaha.
Fotofestiwal in Lodz, Poland 2023
Four winners of the regional ‘Family Connections’ photo competition, held earlier this year by the EU NEIGHBOURS EAST programme and FOTOFESTIWAL, are among the 25 international photographers selected to participate in this year’s Fotofestiwal, International Festival of Photography in Łódź, Poland.
The photo festival took place on 15-25 June with the support of the EU-funded programme EU4Culture.

This is pure ingenuity. The dual purpose of the press-iron attracted my attention. This man was using his hot iron to do his pressing of clothes and also heating yesterday's leftover breads (roti) by placing it on top, to be taken hot in breakfast.
