Historic 1919 San Augustine County Jail on the courthouse square in San Augustine, Texas. This structure replaced an 1893 jail and was used as the county’s jail until 2000. The exterior was covered in stucco in the 1950s, but was restored to its originally brick appearance in a 2016 restoration. The building was renamed the N.L. Tindall Building in 2002 in honor of the former sheriff.
The 1919 San Augustine County Jail and adjacent 1927 courthouse were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004 (NRHP No. 04000892 as the San Augustine County Courthouse and Jail). The former jail is also a contributing resource to the 2007 San Augustine Commercial Historic District (NRHP District No. 07000269). The courthouse and jail were designated as a Texas State Antiquities Landmark in 2005 and the jail was designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 2017.
I took this photo in one of the last days of Ramadan, the fasting month for Muslims, just few minutes before the sunset prayer calling which announces to muslims the end of a long day of fasting.

APRIL FOOL'S DAY in SAN FRANCISCO is celebrated with the annual ST. STUPID's DAY PARADE which starts out at JUSTIN HERMANN PLAZA and winds its way through the Financial District.

This year the corporate BAIL-OUT greedy pigs were honored as well as the general STUPIDness of well, anything & everything!
Some highlights are featured here...such as the rally at the SOCK EXCHANGE (Pacific Stock Exchange) where socks were exchanged by being thrown in the air!
The ST STUPID'S DAY PARADE went to CITIBANK, 101 CALIFORNIA...where it was lunch hour and the PARADE shouted to the businesspersons...GO BACK TO WORK!
...and of course, the PARADE would not be complete without a visit to the cold black BANKER'S HEART in front of BANK OF AMERICA where folks tossed pennies at the black marble 'sculpture'.
The faces of the tourists and the businesspersons who didn't have the slightest idea of WHAT THE HELL was going on.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the presence of Paramahamsa Vishwananda during the Christmas season at Shree Peetha Nilaya Ashram in Germany. On Christmas Eve, we enjoyed a lovely evening meal together, which included many inspiring talks. Guruji spoke about the importance of not wasting time and to celebrate one's life.
Christmas day was also filled with a family vibe inviting everyone to get together and eat a delicious meal put together by the wonderful kitchen team. Talks were given and Swami Revati spoke about the importance of the Satguru.
At the end of the year, we had a gender split Darshan, which means there were Darshans just for men and another just for women. Guruji had spoken about the importance of coming together and setting up bhajan groups as well as the importance of not being lazy. Laziness is a quality that stagnates oneself on any path, be it material or spiritual and so one should not waste the preciousness of life.
On New year's Eve the Bhakti TV had again delivered an incredible programme filled with insights and talks from guests in house as well as those abroad. Kirtan interludes were given and those attending were able to enjoy the show whilst enjoying a few snacks. The night continued into the temple where rocking kirtan filled the air from 9pm up until midnight. The first arati of the year was given by our Paramahamsa Vishwananda. Everyone then moved to the upper field to enjoy a wonderful fireworks display and finally the night concluded with an incredible DJ set given by Rishi Amaranimai das where people danced to the name of God with Psy trance music.
The following day was of course the new year celebration where Guruji had performed abhishek on his personal deities. At the same time Sathya Narayan Puja was also conducted. Guruji had concluded the prayer with a talk on how one must learn to accept the will of God and that all is for one's own good.

Photograph taken at an altitude of One hundred and three metres at 11.48am on Wednesday 7th June 2023 off the Capilano Pacific Trail, beneath the Capilano Suspension bridge in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
Kia’palano (Beautiful river) was named by the Squamish first nations people, and gives Capilano park it's name. The suspension bridge was originally a cedar wood and rope bridge designed by George Grant Mackay, a Scottish civil engineer and park commissioner for Vancouver, in 1889. The park was sold and purchased and the bridge completely rebuilt in 1956 and later sold again in 1983 to the present owner, Nancy Stibbard. A treetops adventure was built in 2004 and a cliffwalk added in 2011. The bridge is 140 metres in length and seventy metres from the river bed and receives more than 1.2 million visitors annually.
In June 2023 an adult day ticket was not cheap at $67.00 dollars Canadian, but the park makes for a great days enjoyment with food and drinks available.
