The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other
by Peter Handke, in a translation by Meredith Oakes
directed by Wils Wilson
movement by Janice Parker
Take a moment to watch our world go by.
Some years ago, playwright Peter Handke was sitting in a town square watching people come and go. Suddenly men carrying a coffin emerged from a house and transformed the square into a stage, lending each vignette that followed – a woman walking her dog, a couple having an argument, a man jogging – special meaning.
Inspired by this experience, The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other is a play without words, narrated by music and animated by unspoken interaction. This production gives the simple pleasure of people-watching a vibrant dramatic life as the audience weave a narrative out of the everyday scenes of a city.
This 450-character production will be taking to The Lyceum stage directed by Lyceum Associate Artist Wils Wilson, in association with Janice Parker Projects. We are throwing open the doors of The Lyceum and welcoming a large scale cast of Edinburgh residents onto the stage to create this exciting production.

Construction of Charles Church (Doris Binder attributes)
The Karlskirche was built by Emperor Charles VI. commemorating the plague saint, Charles Borromeo. In 1713 the plague raged in Vienna and claimed about 8,000 lives, in February 1714 the disease disappeared and thanks to that circumstance was started with the construction of the church, this should be the most important Viennese ecclesiastical building in the 18th century.
In a contest was decided on the builders - participants were Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt and Ferdinando Galli-Bibienas. As winner emerged the famous architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, he died in 1723 and did not live long enough to the achievement of the Church. The supervision was transferred to the imperial court architect Anton Erhard Martinelli, as Fischer von Erlach died, his son, Joseph Emmanuel concluded his work. On 28 October 1737 the Charles Church was by the Archbishop of Vienna, Cardinal Count Sigismund Kollowitz, solemnly inaugurated. The spiritual care over the Karlskirche ceded the Emperor Charles VI . the chivalric Order of the Cross with the Red Star, since 1783, the Charles Church is imperial parish patronage.
The church was then still behind the regulated Wien River (Wienfluss) and in the open field. The towards the town side directed field of vision of the Charles Church, which then stood on the edge of the suburb of Wieden, was the target point of an angle of view, linking the Hofburg and St. Charles Church in the sense of a "via triumphalis". On the porch of the temple-like Karlskirche the dedicatory inscription is clearly visible "Vota mea Reddam in conspectu timentium Deum" - " I want to fulfill my vow before those who fear God."
Even during the construction by Fischer von Erlach (senior), there were several phases of the project, three of which have been handed down:
1 Medallion of Daniel Warou of groundbreaking ceremony
2 Four stitches in Fischer Draft Historical Architecture 1721
3 Viennese View works (Ansichtswerke) by Kleiner and Pfeffel 1722 (1724)
By the death of Fischer von Erlach there were further changes made by his son, Joseph Emmanuel, where especially the dome (much higher and steeper), the priest choir (omitted) and the interior (simpler) were affected. The entire project took a total of 21 years and the cost was 304 045 guilders (Gulden) and 22 ¼ Kreuzer. The construction costs were borne by all crown lands of the Empire, but also Spain, Milan and the Netherlands had to contribute.
The Karlskirche is the most important Baroque building of the city and represents the most convincing the so-called Empire style, in which for the last time after the victorious ended wars against the Turks and the French an empire awareness in the architecture of the capital of the Holy Roman Empire was expressed.

This autumn series was actually taken on Christmas Day (2008).
I like this photo because it seems to combine winter and autumn with some spring green in between.
The COMPASS outdoor art installation at the Rideau Falls in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Comprised of 3800 hand-made, cermaic sculptures arranged in the shape of the compass rose logo of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
COMPASS was created out of POPULACE, an installation designed by the Ottawa Guild of Potters and presented as part of Canada's 150th celebrations. 9000 sculptures were installed for the summer of 2017 at the Canadian Museum of Nature.
COMPASS tells the story of the three main groups of people
here at the time of Confederation: the Indigenuous peoples (feathers), the British peoples (roses) and the French peoples (fleurs-de-lys) and the story of contemporary Canada with 195 ceramic birds that represent the countries of the world today.
The installation, which is oriented due north, is designed in all white to highlight the theme of the project: peace in all directions.

Still trying to find a nice coordinate for this blouse haha! I'm beginning to think that I hate this shade of green after all (GASP!).
This time, I finally gave up and tried a sweet lolita outfit.
I think I should've stuck to a white bag to balance the colours a little more. *shrugs*
I think I'm still not into the blouse ^^;;; Or maybe I'm just not that into sweet lolita anymore?
Outfit Breakdown:
Blouse, JSK, Bag, Socks, Shoes: Bodyline
Headbow: In The Starlight
Necklace: Offbrand
In village-like surroundings and yet within Amsterdam, a beautifully renovated but traditional romantic house.
It has wooden laminated floors, three bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower.
Lying 2 minutes from the highway to Schiphol and just 10 minutes from the city centre, this house has a lovely and very private garden at the back of the house, with a storage shed that can also be used as a garage.
This location is perfect if you like the quietness of the countryside alongside the comfort of city life.
