My precious little wonder doves are getting very plump.

Spied these on our walk this morning. Lovely early morning warm light. I love it and so do the plants and ants as it gives them a bit of warmth. These flowers are in a shady position so they would stay nice and fresh throughout the day!!!

Thanks to Pancy98 for her identification of this plant, named Thunbergia Grandiflora

The Bulldogs faced the Tigers for the 2nd year in a row for State Championship. The Bulldogs lost by 1 pt with the Tigers scoring the point after in the last minute of the game after a series of flags extended the Tiger's drive. I'm ready for round 3 again next year!

The SFU Student Investment Advisory Service and Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA) held the 2011 SIAS Q2 Performance Review presentation which highlighted the fund's current economic and market outlook.

The SIAS group was also proud to welcome special guest speaker, Jean-Francois Tardif who began his career in 1993 as a financial advisor. In 2001, his career path took him to Sprott Asset Management where he was recruited for his stock picking ability and portfolio management skills. From there, he became lead manager of Sprott Opportunities Hedge LP at its inception in 2004 and by 2009, the fund had achieved an astounding annualized five-year return of 21.3 per cent.

Throughout the years, Tardif was a regular guest on BNN and won the Globe and Mail stock picker contest three years in a row.

Week #18 In a Row - Naruto In a Row. I borrowed these little ninja warrior characters from my daughter to line them up in a row!

These late night work fests can be challenging. This is not me angry, even though I look angry...I'm just tired. Ready for sleep, not forthcoming yet. Oh well. At least it's an on-call -rotation-!

I just realized I've had that headset on all night, I didn't even realize I was wearing it for the photograph. :(

Here's our photo recap of TX2K12 (GT-R/Supra Nationals). It was an awesome event as usual, and this year brought the biggest turnout in the event's short history.

We took first place in the Unlimited and Modified GT-R class for the second time in a row! We got our fastest personal 1/4 mile time in a GT-R with a 9.53 in Kenny Tran's Stage 5 Jotech GT-R.

Special thanks to our event sponsors Black Magic Car Care, Rain X, Gumout, and HRE Performance Wheels!

These three images in a row are not macro. They were shot with the zoom on my Minolta Z5 DiMAGE, about 20 feet away from me. Was at a rest stop along Highway 93 between Wickenburg and Kingman. Had to make do with shoving the camera lens through a cyclone fence to get a photo. It's not super sharp, but I did like the abstract, sort of monumental quality. See the next two if you are interested. I have not been able to decide which I like best so all three are here online. Part of my set "Learning to Zoom".

Can this man win the GT season championship two years in a row? Congrats to Bryan Johnson for winning the GT class, in last weekend’s Ultimate Street Car Association Optima qualifier, at NOLA Motorsports Park! Bryan won both the Hot Lap Challenge and the Autocross, in his Mast Motorsports-powered Detroit Speed-equipped 5th-gen Camaro 1LE on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GA1R Open Lug wheels! And he is currently leading the season points standings, with just one event remaining! See more of this car in the Forgeline gallery at: www.forgeline.com/customer_gallery_view.php?cvk=1500
