I apologize that flickr app seems to need to post pictures from their app 3 times in a row if it doesnt have signal...

Sometimes you just are in an area, with a moment and if you feel the urge its time for a capture... there was actually a couple that would have been in this shot , if I had gotten off my bike in time and saw with my phone what I saw with my eyes.

Posting 2 days in a row has become a rarity for me, that goes with the territory of always been so bloody busy and not really having time for nocturnal photography. After photographing “Couple” the other night I continues to walk along the coast and eventually found myself walking around the edge of the Caravan Site near where I captured my Aurora image in January 2012, I kinda thought the trail would lead somewhere but instead it just led to certain death which meant I had to jump a fence into the Caravan Site.

It was quite eerie, I’d rather be skulking around a graveyard then roaming though caravans looking for a way out, I even found this festive set up creepy. Slightly cropped into the image as there was a lot of shadow dominating the bottom half of the image, the rest is actually how it came out of the camera.

Right as I was wrapping up my shots with these tulips, I noticed that when viewed from a particular angle, the four flowers lined up in a perfect diagonal.....I couldn't resist taking a few more shots before packing up and calling it a day!

“Pomace is the ground flesh and pits after pressing…. Olive-pomace oil is the oil comprising the blend of refined olive-pomace oil and virgin olive oils fit for consumption as they are… In no case shall this blend be called “olive oil”. It is considered an inferior grade and is used for soap making or industrial purposes.” — Source

Large Explorer Vest from LTTS. Brown courduroy from the stash with green drill for the pockets, pocket flap linings, breast pocket lining and bias binding. I used a synthetic for the lining which originally came from Spotlight. I finished the vest with snaps. This is the first one I've made since I made since I made 8 in a row! www.flickr.com/photos/73669617@N07/7842814296/

On Friday, February 7, 2014, high school and middle school students dashed into the icy Atlantic as part of Special Olympics Virginia’s largest fundraiser: The Polar Plunge and the Cool School Challenge.

“Raising one million dollars for the fourth year in a row is incredible,” said Rick Jeffrey, Special Olympics Virginia president. “More importantly, though, these funds will help us to build bigger, better, more inclusive communities across the state of Virginia.”

In addition to the money raised, they got to take the icy dip into the Atlantic, all while earning a Friday “pass” from school, earn community service credit, Costume contests – prizes for best dressed male and female, prizes for teacher or team sponsor, and freezing photos.

Multiple houseboats on the Dal Lake visible when on a morning boat ride on the lake. All these are large houseboats made of wood with a staircase for guests and for the residents of these houseboats to come and go. At the top of these houseboats can be seen the name of the houseboat. For tourists, a houseboat is a nice option in which to stay in. The Dal Lake is one of the crowing glories of Srinagar, driving most tourists to the region. The lake is contained within the city of Srinagar and is not very large (you can drive around the outer edge of the lake within a matter of hours), with the outer perimeter being around 16 kilometers. The lake forms an integral part of the economy of the city, with tourism centered around the lake, and with fishing and water plant harvesting also happening on the lake. A large number of tourists live on the lake, in the large and beautiful house boats that are positioned in the lake (and in fixed positions, with all facilities available on the houseboats). In addition, the iconic site of tourists in the shikaras on the lake is a familiar sight, and every tourist does enjoy such a ride.

The gardens near the shore of the Lake (Shalimar, Nishaant, Chasme-Shahi) were developed by the great Mughal rulers who loved the climate of Kashmir and are incredibly beautiful. The lake is not very deep, with the deepest part of the lake being 6 meters. The unfortunate part is that for the past several decades, the lake has been seeing a reduction in the area covered by the lake, although in the past several years, there has been an effort to reduce the reasons for the reduction in the area covered by the lake. The lake is fed by some perennial streams and by spring sources.

During winter the lake presents another level of charm for tourists, with the temperate in Srinagar falling below zero, and the water surface of the lake freezing over. An incredible view of the lake is seen from the heights of the hill on which the Shankaracharya temple is located as also from Hari Parbat.

Second day in a row of Chuck photos...wonder if I can make a whole week out of it. =)

Me: Will you guys let me take a picture of you today?

Them: *whine, whine, whine*

Me: You don't have to show your face.

Them: Well...

Me: You can wear your new shoes Trev!

Trev: OK!!

Steve: I guess

I think it looks ok...I love how Trev is overlapping his feet slightly...wish I could get Kyle to wear them. But...he is very stubborn when it comes to what he will wear.
