I want to start collecting old/interesting cameras. So far I have 3. Ok, so the middle one is made out of a Coke can and doesn't actually work, but I think it still counts. :)
Time to get organized and get your ducks in a row. It was getting dark so the focus is not great but the instant I saw this scene I had to have the image for a 16:4 aspect crop.

Experiment with lines, contrasts and reflections...
My current project: Shoot 50 photos with a 50mm lens over a period of 50 days.
I'll try to improve my compositional and creative skills with this exercise. Images are not cropped but I'll experiment with post production of the originals.

Each day for 365 days in a row I took a picture and published it at www.cloudtogroundimages.com. This is one of them.
There are 4 earth-bermed houses in a row just west of Dodge City, Kansas, and I've always thought they were beautiful homes. I finally got to photograph them in good light.
There's a true earth-sheltered home (with an earth roof) just a few miles closer to Dodge, and that house was gorgeous, but the owner seems to have absolutely no taste, and expanded the garage into a warehouse-looking building, and now it makes the house ugly, and I no longer want to photograph it.
Two days in a row!!! Woo Hoo! I got my second Moo envelope today - it's from my friend gaymay. This is one of my all time favorites of his! Thank you James (and Jerry in the guest starring roll)! And a big {{{MWAH}}} to you both!!! :-D
Makadi Bay and the Makadi Palace is a 5 star hotel 45km south of Hurghada city. The hotel is a part of Read Sea Hotels and have 5 different hotels combined to one large hotel area along the beach. Two of the hotels are soon to be opened. Hurghada (Arabic: الغردقة Al Ġurdaqa is a city in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt. It is a main tourist center and second largest city (after Suez) in Egypt located on the Red Sea coast. Hurghada stretches for about 36 kilometres (22 mi) along the seashore, and it does not reach far into the surrounding desert. The city was founded in the early 20th century, and since the 1980s has been continually enlarged by Egyptian and foreign investors to become the leading seashore resort on the Red Sea. Holiday villages and hotels provide aquatic sport facilities for sailboarders, yachtsmen, scuba divers and snorkelers. The resort is a destination for Egyptian tourists from Cairo, the Delta and Upper Egypt, as well as package holiday tourists from Europe, notably Serbs, Italians, Russians, Poles, Czechs and Germans. Until a few years ago it was a small fishing village. Today Hurghada counts 248,000 inhabitants.

This was shortly before I moved them to the playpen--they were just getting too big to stay in the cage any more.
Found two barred owls roosting in the same tree today. Papa was sleeping high up in the sun. Second day in a row I have caught them mating- they are not quiet about it!
Hee lots of pink cupcakes! There are for swaps on www.swap-bot.com although I won't tell you who is getting what so it will be a surprise when it arrives!
Smallest cupcake made with the pattern here on Flickr.

Crocheted with an F hook, Caron Simply Soft for the bases, the darker pink frosting is Red Heart's Candy Print, and the lighter pink is a little creation I made with 3 lightweight yarns and a strand of sparkley stuff I received in a yarn swap. =)
The lighter pink purse can be seen in its new home here and here.

For the second year in a row, the basketball season came to an end for both Hoover and North high schools in the Substate final, coming up just short of a trip to the State tournament. The Huskies lost to Waukee 45-38 while the Polar Bears fell to Ames 63-54.
For the 2nd year in a row young upstart CLIO, who makes legal practice management software, invited me to come hang out and photograph their staff Christmas party in Vancouver. This is one of the fastest growing companies in the world and they definitely share the same work hard play hard ethos as many of my other favorite young technology startup clients like Hootsuite, Shopify, Tune & Connect. :)
