He is popularizing science through song, innovative demonstrations and motivational speech since 1990 in different parts of Odisha state without taking any fees.

Innovator Mihir Kumar Panda loves nature and in his agricultural farm he does not uses the chemicals , fertilizers and pesticides. In his farm even the smallest creatures like snakes, caterpillar, white ants, worms ,vermies are in peace and are managed successfully not to do harm.

La empresa Globisens y el Gobierno del Estado implementarán el proyecto
de Laboratorios de Ciencias ‘Todo en Uno’ para educación primaria

Más de 63 mil alumnos y 176 escuelas primarias del municipio capital,
Jesús María, Pabellón de Arteaga y Rincón de Romos seran beneficiados con
tecnología educativa de punta
El Gobernador del Estado, Carlos Lozano de la Torre, al encabezar la firma
del convenio de colaboración con la empresa Globisens para implementar el
proyecto de Laboratorios de Ciencias ‘Todo en Uno’ para educación primaria,
dijo que Aguascalientes promueve una educación de primer mundo que está
alineada con las más actuales tendencias internacionales en la materia.
El convenio de colaboración, que implica una inversión de más de 16
millones de pesos, beneficiará en una primera etapa a más de 63 mil alumnos
y a 176 escuelas primarias del municipio capital, Jesús María, Pabellón de
Arteaga y Rincón de Romos con la adquisición de 600 equipos que utilizan la
tecnología educativa más avanzada para reforzar los programas de una
educación moderna, pertinente y de calidad.
Este proyecto, que solamente ha sido implementado en países como Canadá,
Estados Unidos, Israel y Rusia, también incluye la capacitación de los
docentes y directivos y el desarrollo de contenidos escolares.
A la fecha, el estado de Aguascalientes es la primera entidad de la
república mexicana y el primer sistema educativo de América Latina que ha
implementado este proyecto, para fomentar el acercamiento de los niños y
jóvenes al conocimiento científico más riguroso, de acuerdo con los
lineamientos establecidos por organismos internacionales como la UNESCO y
la OCDE.
El Jefe del Ejecutivo reconoció a la empresa Globisens, y a su Director
General, Dovi Brucker, por el desarrollo de esta tecnología portátil de
última generación que es compatible con los programas y la infraestructura
educativa del estado.
De esta forma, Aguascalientes se consolida de nueva cuenta como pionero y
líder nacional en la enseñanza digital para el siglo veintiuno con la
utilización de tecnologías educativas en prácticamente todos los niveles,
desde preescolar hasta el nivel superior, donde sobresale la certificación
en el uso de tecnologías de aprendizaje del 100 por ciento de los docentes
que imparten educación secundaria y la actualización permanente de los
maestros de primaria y preescolar en materia de enseñanza digital.
“La educación digital está transformando al estado de Aguascalientes en un
centro regional del conocimiento y ha posicionado a nuestras escuelas
secundarias en el primer lugar nacional en el rubro de desempeño educativo.
Estas acciones y programas nos han ganado el reconocimiento mundial con el
Premio a la Innovación Internacional en Educación Pública, otorgado por
Worlddidac Foundation en Basilea Suiza, y la presentación de Aguascalientes
como un caso de éxito en el World Education Forum, realizado en Londres,
Inglaterra”, recordó el Gobernador.
Lozano de la Torre reconoció también a los maestros de Aguascalientes por
su voluntad permanente de estudio y preparación, que ha permitido impulsar
una estrategia de enseñanza digital, pero principalmente porque su trabajo,
capacidad y profesionalismo han sacado adelante todos los proyectos de este
sexenio en materia educativa.
“A diferencia de lo que ocurre en otros lugares del país, el magisterio de
Aguascalientes desde siempre se ha mantenido unido, leal y comprometido con
México y con la educación de nuestros niños y jóvenes y por eso, por encima
de cualquier coyuntura, Aguascalientes nunca dejará de confiar en sus
maestros, porque son los arquitectos del Pequeño Gigante de México”,
concluyó.
Tras la firma del convenio, el Gobernador del Estado, acompañado por la
Presidenta del Sistema DIF estatal, Blanca Rivera Rio de Lozano, encabezó
la puesta en marcha de cada una de las estaciones de trabajo del proyecto
de Laboratorios de Ciencias ‘Todo en Uno’ para educación primaria.

•Cultura CTI se denomina la iniciativa que implementa actividades como reciclaje, robótica y astronomía directo en la sala de clases. Profesores trabajan codo a codo con investigadores y, los niños, experimentan con ciencia y tecnología en primera persona y que tuvo su lanzamiento en la ciudad de Coquimbo.
Imprimir toda clase de objetos en 3D; armar sus propios robots utilizando kits y experimentar con genética, todo esto realizado por niños, niñas y jóvenes en la sala de clases. Desde el próximo 27 de septiembre, un total de 24 colegios de la Región de Coquimbo se incorporarán a una iniciativa inédita para la enseñanza de la ciencia en el país. Como parte de un programa implementado de manera conjunta entre profesores y científicos, establecimientos educacionales públicos de las comunas de Andacollo y Coquimbo, podrán acceder a actividades como estas, en sus propias escuelas.
La iniciativa, denominada “Cultura CTI”, busca acercar estos contenidos a los estudiantes bajo metodologías participativas, donde la clave es conseguir que el alumno sea protagonista en su proceso de aprendizaje. Para ello, cada colegio tuvo que escoger proyectos del Catálogo de Iniciativas de Cultura CTI, conformado por 32 propuestas desarrolladas por expertos de universidades y destacados centros de investigación, las cuales fueron evaluadas previamente por un panel de expertos.
El lanzamiento de la iniciativa se realizó ayer en el Colegio José Agustín Alfaro, Tierras Blancas, de Coquimbo, reuniendo autoridades de la Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica, CONICYT; del Programa de divulgación de la Ciencia, Explora, la Seremía de Educación de la Región de Coquimbo, profesores y oferentes de Cultura CTI y la comunidad de docentes y alunmos del Colegio.
“Estamos iniciando un trabajo en conjunto con quienes tienen la mirada de la ciencia y la tecnología- académicos universitarios, integrantes de centros de investigación- que hacen una oferta participativa de contenido; y, del otro lado, los profesores, que trabajan, día a día, en enseñar y motivar a nuestros niños. El objetivo final de esto, en términos país, es mejorar la calidad de la educación. No se trata de que todos los estudiantes sean científicos, sino que ojalá desarrollemos el pensamiento crítico. Creemos que este programa tiene las virtudes de trabajar en pos de ese objetivo, integrando a toda la comunidad educativa”, destacó el director ejecutivo de CONICYT, Christian Nicolai.
En tanto, el seremi de educación de la Región de Coquimbo, Pedro Esparza, comentó “estamos llevando adelante un conjunto de trasformaciones de nuestro sistema educativo, que nos permiten instalar la educación como un derecho social. Hoy relevamos Cultura CTI y cómo estamos innovando, efectivamente, en la enseñanza de las ciencias. Lo más importante es entender que, la ciencia y la tecnología hay que vivenciarlas. No basta el pizarrón, no basta la clase formal, hay que generar una experiencia. La enseñanza de la ciencia no tiene que ser sólo para el niño aplicado y buen alumno, sino que para todos ”.
Implementada por CONICYT a través de su Programa Explora y el Consejo Nacional de Innovación para el Desarrollo (CNID), Cultura CTI se llevó a cabo durante todo 2016 como programa piloto en tres escuelas públicas en la comuna de San Joaquín y nueve de la Región de los Ríos, donde continúan ejecutándose con excelentes resultados. Ahora, las escuelas de Coquimbo y Andacollo se suman escogiendo 20 iniciativas que apuntan a temáticas como reciclaje, biología, astronomía, robótica y ciencias naturales.
Tras este proceso de selección -en el que participaron representantes de toda la comunidad educativa-, comenzará a ejecutarse un proceso de codiseño, donde maestros y científicos tendrán la misión de mejorar la propuesta, ajustándola a la realidad de cada grupo escolar. Esta importante etapa se iniciará el próximo miércoles 27 de septiembre, en una reunión colectiva, donde asistirán los integrantes de las 24 escuelas y los artífices de los proyectos CTI escogidos.
“Para mí, que soy profesora de la Región de Coquimbo, es muy importante y enriquecedor participar de este proceso, porque nos da la posibilidad de insertarnos en la Cultura CTI. Queremos que en mi escuela, no sólo los profesores de ciencias naturales, se empapen del método científico y puedan innovar en sus prácticas pedagógicas. De verdad ésta es una experiencia fantástica, sobre todo, porque permite a los alumnos de nuestro colegio- que aunque es de alta vulnerabilidad, ha desarrollado un fuerte trabajo en CyT- abrir su mente y enfrentarse a nuevas experiencias. Finalmente, todo esto, beneficia a nuestros niños”, comentó Isela Maureira, profesora de Ciencias Naturales del Colegio José Agustín Alfaro, Tierras Blancas, Coquimbo.
Esta primera reunión de Cultura CTI Coquimbo representa, además, una de las primeras acciones que se inscriben del proyecto de Nueva Educación Pública, que comienza a ser implementado por el Ministerio de Educación en 14 comunas y 237 establecimientos educacionales del país, alcanzado en total a más de 57 mil estudiantes del país. Se busca crear un nuevo sistema de educación pública, que mejore la calidad de la enseñanza y potencie, entre otros aspectos, trabajos en red como los que propone Cultura CTI.

A new government commissioned study reportedly shows Machu Picchu can handle up to 5,940 visitors per day as long as Peru implements infrastructure improvements and spreads out the flow of tourists as prescribed in the recently approved 5-year master plan,
The U.S.-based firm Cultural Site and Research Management of Baltimore, Maryland, delivered the report on Monday to the Management Unit of Machu Picchu (UGM), Ricardo Ruiz-Caro, chief of Cusco's regional Culture Directorate, told T-News.
The firm, led by Dr. Douglas Comer, has a well-established track record in cultural resource and environmental planning, including the sustainable visitor services plan for another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Petra Archaeological Park in Jordan.
Since 2011, the average daily number of visitors to Machu Picchu has far exceeded the daily limit of 2,500 agreed to by Peru and UNESCO. Starting in 2012, annual attendance has topped a million tourists. Last year, the Inca sanctuary was visited by 1,141,177 people, according to Peru's Ministry of Culture.
Peru started to implement strict new procedures last year, under mounting pressure from UNESCO to fix myriad problems, from overcrowding and a lack of basic tourist infrastructure to inadequate solid waste management.
In April, the government approved a long awaited Master Plan for Machu Picchu that maps out a dramatic “reconceptualization” of the Inca Citadel, backed by a proposed $43.7 million makeover for the Inca citadel.
Ruiz-Caro reiterated that regulating the flow of tourists over the course of the day is key to Machu Picchu's long-term conservation.
“Entry must be implemented over a certain range of hours, associated with ticket sales,” he told T-News. “The maximum sale of morning tickets should be 3,000 and a second range should be for people who enter starting from noon onward.”
Roger Valencia, president of Peru's National Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR), was quoted Wednesday saying the study also recommends expanding Machu Picchu's operating hours, closing at 6 p.m., instead of the current closing time of 5.
Valencia lauded the study in comments published by InfoTur Peru, the tourism chamber's news site and revealed more of its conclusions.
“The carrying capacity study is high quality in terms of preparation,” Valenia said. “It has given us insight into the visitor profiles. It involves technological instruments for flow management in order to understand how our visitors behave, who they are and their motivations.”
The study takes into account the major changes called for in the Master Plan.
The entry point into Machu Picchu will be moved from the current entrance just outside the ruins to a new visitor and orientation center in the jungle gorge below, where the Urubamba River snakes almost completely around the towering citadel in a horseshoe bend.
From there, visitors will fan out, transversing several new routes up to, around and through the citadel.
Once visitors reach the sanctuary, they will be able to walk one of three predetermined routes through the complex, with set time limits at specific points to keep the traffic flowing.
Visitors currently take just under two hours on the standard route, said Valencia. The new study recommend increasing that time to exactly two hours. Additional time would be alloted to climb the peaks of Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu, as well as for trekkers entering via the Inca Trail, he added.
Two new entrance routes will also be added, encompassing parts of the Inca Trail — one starting at Km. 113 and the other at Km 117, he added.
Visitors will access the first by crossing a new ramp, and over a series of Inca terraces.
The second goes over several Inca terraces and an Inca Trail that leads directly to a large cavern. From there, visitors can reach Huayna Picchu and then to Machu Picchu.
“With all that we have three alternatives short Inca Trails,” Valencia said, one a full-day excursion, and the oter two taking three to five hours.
In related news, Ruis-Caro told daily La Republica on Wednesday that officials are considering whether to close the Hiram Bingham Highway, the 6-mile switchback road up to Machu Picchu, for urgent repairs.
Peru's National Service of Protected Natural Areas (Sernanp) revealed earlier this month that an analysis by consulting firm Proyectos & Construcciones Silver S.C.R.L determined the 67-year-old road could have only 17 months of “useful life” left unless aggressive maintenance work undertaken.
Ruiz Caro did not rule out the installation of a cable car up to the citadel — a controversial plan that was nearly carried out in the late 1990s before it was scrapped because of opposition.
The Master Plan talks about building alternative forms of access, he said, “but this study should be done starting in 2016.”

Most of the lithic artifacts at Sanxingdui were ritual implements, which were part of the material expression of the political and religious culture of the state of Shu. Among them, bi disks and zhang blades were most important: the former used for worshipping heaven, the latter for sacrificing to the mountains. The people of Shu communicated with spirits, gods and heaven realms primarily through their worship of mountains".
El Ministro de Transportes y Comunicaciones, José Gallardo Ku, recibió del Gobierno del Japón equipos destinados a implementar un sistema de prevención de desastres que permitirá a la población recibir información rápida, precisa y estable sobre emergencias.
El sistema -que utilizará el estándar de Televisión Digital Terrestre japonés brasileño ISDB-T, que viene siendo implementado en el Perú- podría utilizarse en caso de que el Fenómeno El Niño afecte a alguna de las localidades beneficiadas.
El "Proyecto para el Mejoramiento del equipamiento para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres en la República del Perú" comprende la donación e implementación de ocho sistemas de observación de mareas; ocho sistemas EWBS (Emergency Warning Broadcasting System), conformados por estaciones de televisión digital terrestre-TDT con capacidad para transmitir la señal EWBS; y 15 receptores de TDT con capacidad de recibir esa señal.
El Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil (INDECI) es el responsable de emitir señal la alerta, la cual llega al Instituto Nacional de Radio y Televisión (IRTP), que la difunde a los hogares de la población de las localidades beneficiarias, utilizando el sistema EWBS (a través de la señal de televisión digital).
Las estaciones de TDT con EWBS -que estarán ubicadas en Arequipa (Arequipa, 1; Camaná, 3), Ica (Pisco, 1), La Libertad (Trujillo, 4), Lima (Lima, 1; Cañete, 1), Moquegua (Ilo, 4)- no solo podrán transmitir alertas por tsunami, sino también sobre diversos tipos de desastres, como inundaciones, deslizamientos, incendios, entre otros.
Actualmente en el Perú la información de desastres se tramite vía telefónica, radial o por email, siendo alta la probabilidad de interrupción en la comunicación cuando ocurre un desastre de gran magnitud.
"La introducción de este nuevo Sistema EWBS hará posible que la población reciba información más rápida, precisa y estable sobre emergencias por desastres, lo que contribuirá a salvar vidas y reducir daños", señaló Gallardo Ku.
El Ministro Gallardo y el Viceministro de Comunicaciones del Japón, Yasuo Sakamoto, destacaron la importancia del fortalecimiento de la cooperación entre ambos países en el campo de la televisión digital, así como ampliar la relación de cooperación en el sector de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TIC).
La entrega de equipos se realizó en el marco de la inauguración del Seminario Internacional en materia de Televisión Digital Terrestre (TDT) y Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones (TIC), que se realizará los días 14 y 15 de enero de 2016 en Lima y en el que participarán delegados de 15 empresas japonesas.
A training of trainers of a South Sudan’s soon-to-be unified army concluded today, 4 October, with a graduation ceremony at the Military Training Centre in Luri near Juba.
The event marks a significant step forward for the implementation of the country’s revitalized peace agreement, signed in September last year.
Lieutenant General Shailesh Tinaikar, Force Commander of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, described the project of training the nation’s unified forces as one with “tremendous implications for national integrity and security”. He called the graduating instructors “pioneers” with a “huge responsibility” to carry after having received just ten days of training.
“Whatever you do, however you act, is going to affect the soldiers who you train, so I implore you to be conscious of your actions, because you set the trend of the forces of South Sudan,” the Force Commander said.
Lieutenant General Tinaikar also stressed the importance of looking forward rather than backward.
“You have to forget your past, from where you come and your past affiliations, to work together for your young nation, for the state of South Sudan,” he said, reiterating his faith in the diligence and capacity of the instructors to train the unified forces properly.
A lack of qualified trainers has been slowing down the capacity building of units of the united armed forces in 35 cantonment sites across the country, making the readiness of instructors such a vital sign of progress.
To enable the establishment of a Transitional Government of National Unity on 12 November, the few hundred graduates will need to capacitate some 83,000 soldiers, the troops being merged from the South Sudan People’s Defence Forces and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Opposition.

En el marco de la reunión para el cumplimiento de los compromisos derivados de la 12° del GORE Ejecutivo, el viceministro de Mype e Industria, José Salardi, señaló que el gobierno, a través del Ministerio de la Producción (Produce), impulsará el desarrollo de las cadenas productivas de pesca, acuicultura, agroindustria y forestal en Loreto, a través de un trabajo articulado con las autoridades regionales.
En ese sentido, indicó que la reunión de los equipos técnicos de su sector y del gobierno regional, ha dado como resultado una serie de acuerdos que contribuirán para que Loreto se convierta en una región productiva en base a sus potencialidades. "Hemos identificado que estamos muy alineados en muchas intervenciones, incluso en aquellas que ya tenemos en camino", destacó.
Al respecto, Salardi precisó que al cierre del primer semestre estarán implementados al 100 % el CITE Forestal y el CITE Productivo Maynas. "Es una inversión de 22 millones de soles que ha realizado Produce a través del ITP. Con lo cual se ha puesto en valor estas infraestructuras importantes, para poder dar todo apoyo y soporte a las cadenas productivas de pesca, acuicultura y agroindustrias".
Manifestó que para el presente año proyectan prestar un mínimo de 1200 servicios de innovación y transferencia tecnológica, que ayudará a fortalecer las capacidades e innovar a las diferentes industrias de esta región.
Asimismo, informó que otros de los compromisos es la pronta apertura del Centro de Desarrollo Empresarial del programa “Tu Empresa”, para promover la formalización de 400 nuevas unidades de negocio.
De otro lado, Salardi indicó que el sector espera cerrar el año inaugurando el Gran Mercado de Belén. "Se está avanzando a un nivel importante. El proyecto está a más de 50% de ejecución y en el presupuesto de este año se han incluido 50 millones de soles para su culminación", apuntó.
Acciones en pesca y acuicultura
De otro lado, el viceministro Salardi informó que, a través del FONDEPES, Produce iniciará la construcción del primer desembarcadero pesquero artesanal de la Amazonia “La Punchana”, para lo cual se ha destinado una inversión de hasta S/ 22 000 000.
Asimismo, este fondo realizará un proyecto piloto para la implementación de aislamiento térmico en embarcaciones pesqueras artesanales para el adecuado transporte de los productos hidrobiológicos. "Con esta actividad, se espera incrementar los fondos para créditos destinados a los pescadores artesanales y acuicultores de la región hasta por un valor de S/ 250 000", destacó.
Otro de los acuerdos es la implementación de mejoras en los servicios del Centro Acuícola Nuevo Horizonte, por un valor de hasta S/ 14 000 000, con ello se mejorarán los servicios de producción y distribución de alevinos para la ampliación de la frontera acuícola, así como la capacitación operativa especializada a los productores de la Región.

Más tarde, el viceministro Salardi hizo entrega oficial al alcalde provincial de Putumayo, Humberto Fuentes, del expediente técnico aprobado para la ejecución del proyecto "Mejoramiento del Mercado Municipal de la Ciudad de San Antonio del Estrecho".
Esta importante acción del gobierno en una ciudad de frontera con Colombia, cuenta con una inversión de más de 4 millones de soles y beneficiará a más de 3000 habitantes.
Las obras se realizarán en un terreno de 1410 m2, donde se implementarán 40 puestos de comercio, con una moderna infraestructura e innovaciones que garantizarán la alta calidad de los productos.

El Ministro de Transportes y Comunicaciones, José Gallardo Ku, recibió del Gobierno del Japón equipos destinados a implementar un sistema de prevención de desastres que permitirá a la población recibir información rápida, precisa y estable sobre emergencias.
El sistema -que utilizará el estándar de Televisión Digital Terrestre japonés brasileño ISDB-T, que viene siendo implementado en el Perú- podría utilizarse en caso de que el Fenómeno El Niño afecte a alguna de las localidades beneficiadas.
El "Proyecto para el Mejoramiento del equipamiento para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres en la República del Perú" comprende la donación e implementación de ocho sistemas de observación de mareas; ocho sistemas EWBS (Emergency Warning Broadcasting System), conformados por estaciones de televisión digital terrestre-TDT con capacidad para transmitir la señal EWBS; y 15 receptores de TDT con capacidad de recibir esa señal.
El Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil (INDECI) es el responsable de emitir señal la alerta, la cual llega al Instituto Nacional de Radio y Televisión (IRTP), que la difunde a los hogares de la población de las localidades beneficiarias, utilizando el sistema EWBS (a través de la señal de televisión digital).
Las estaciones de TDT con EWBS -que estarán ubicadas en Arequipa (Arequipa, 1; Camaná, 3), Ica (Pisco, 1), La Libertad (Trujillo, 4), Lima (Lima, 1; Cañete, 1), Moquegua (Ilo, 4)- no solo podrán transmitir alertas por tsunami, sino también sobre diversos tipos de desastres, como inundaciones, deslizamientos, incendios, entre otros.
Actualmente en el Perú la información de desastres se tramite vía telefónica, radial o por email, siendo alta la probabilidad de interrupción en la comunicación cuando ocurre un desastre de gran magnitud.
"La introducción de este nuevo Sistema EWBS hará posible que la población reciba información más rápida, precisa y estable sobre emergencias por desastres, lo que contribuirá a salvar vidas y reducir daños", señaló Gallardo Ku.
El Ministro Gallardo y el Viceministro de Comunicaciones del Japón, Yasuo Sakamoto, destacaron la importancia del fortalecimiento de la cooperación entre ambos países en el campo de la televisión digital, así como ampliar la relación de cooperación en el sector de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TIC).
La entrega de equipos se realizó en el marco de la inauguración del Seminario Internacional en materia de Televisión Digital Terrestre (TDT) y Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones (TIC), que se realizará los días 14 y 15 de enero de 2016 en Lima y en el que participarán delegados de 15 empresas japonesas.
