Pimped Picture 55a Removed colour cast from image then removed background and smoothed out the cut edges around the body to blend with the background so cut out visable then some burning in work to bring out shadow detail on the body then softened skin and cleaned up complexion also a little sharpening work done on the eyes and the stockings also enhanced body shape around the legs and arms to give a smoother more curvy appearance then hand drawn new background with floor area creating perspective to give a solid floor then added body shadows and additional lighting detail to give body the illusion of 3 dimensional belonging then added fill in flash to pull the eye into the models face then added several background marquee's to give shadow and depth to the image. Sometimes I feel like this

I love how this one came out. They look way more vintage than they are.

Bits from SNIPS

Since the theme of the week is “worry”, I wanted to show off a series of direct mail pieces that I concepted and illustrated. The illustrations were created using Illustrator and Photoshop as a photomontage. However, my favorite part is the powerful copywriting that engages the senses. I included an excerpt.

Adrift in the South Pacific night. Awash in a leaky raft. And you’ve got company.

Unenviable circumstances. Raw. Exposed. Unseen visitors cut a course through your ebbing confidence. Circling. The bumps and brushes are purposeful. Sensing your vulnerability. Tread water and fall prey. Embark upon a panicked swim to safety only to find that the nearest solid ground is two miles straight down. Rather than becoming someone’s entree, take a stand before calamity befalls you. Proactively face the unforeseen by preparing a sustainable plan for survival.

So... here's the final picture (right) compared to my original picture (left):

Most obviously I added some more interesting sky from a stock photo.

I played around with Photoshop's shadows/highlights function (which is actually not intended for the use with plain normal JPEGs, but sometimes works), selective color adjustment (especially the cyans), brightness, contrast, saturation and lightness. A veeeery slight vignette effect from the distort→lens correction filter. That's it.

This was one of the most beautiful childhood photographs I did ever see, I actually can't remember where I took it.

My attempt to emulate the Star Trek "transporter" effect using a GI Joe action figure for the subject. This is a recreation of a segment in an 8mm film composed of experimental special effects.

Okay so this is 2 days old, but I've been out late the past few nights and haven't really had the time to finish photoshopping or upload. I did take this on the correct day though.

So what sparked the inspiration was that day, (Wednesday) I was thinking about stuff and it just randomly hit me how scary it seems to grow up and get old and stuff.. so I figured I'd try photoshopping myself to look older lol.
