Deep Colored Wallpaper for dual monitor configurations.
I usually keep the left half clear of most icons, except for the basic 4 or 5, and spread this image across the two monitors, using the "tile" option, in Windows.
This is a creative, unique and beautiful Mysterious Night Manipulation image.

There really are places like this. It's a half-ruined building perched on a precarious rocky outcrop just outside the medieval town of Erice in northwestern Sicily. In the distance is the Mediterranean.
Yes I obviously played with this photo quite a lot with the computer toys, but it's such a magical scene that I couldn't resist making it a bit more surreal.
Ha, in reality the whole area underfoot was littered with plastic bags, rubbish and fagends, and there was a pretty awful reek of animal dung. But there, I've done the hard work so you don't have to experience the reality!

Klimsch Reprocamera at De Schutter.
In the beginning De Schutter was a family held company. Today, for a global market, we are called DSN. This is an abbreviation of the name De Schutter'Neroc.
Metropolitan reflections warped by the mirrored glass façade of an office block on St.Kilda Road, Melbourne, Australia.
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun
And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought
Or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way
The time is gone
The song is over
Thought I'd something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells~ By the way, Which one's pink? ;-)

Kaleidoscope created with some of my amazing circles, orbs, spheres.
Created by GIMP - Assisted by Mathmap :)
I've tried to capture a sickly, distorted, childish feel with this image, hence the turkish delight lighting and added distortion : )
Or, with a little help from Mr. Roget, perhaps this one is "trite, banal, unimaginative, platitudinous, commonplace, warmed-over, threadbare or worn thin." Possibly even "a potboiler" of a photo.
Be that as it may. I guess what prompted me in this direction was thinking about a "rusty nail," the drink. I've had one (or maybe a couple of them), but can't remember where or when. I seem to recall they were good though. The recipe is simple enough:
1 1/2 oz Scotch whisky
1/2 oz Drambuie® Scotch whisky
1 twist lemon peel
(192spiderwebinvsnicmopeachyinvshp) I'll try to describe some of the techniques later.
Tenuous Link: Same shape
This pic is part of a larger project. In fact, it has made it onto a couple of canvases. That's a pic of my hand I processed in GIMP.
So this is my first "studio" type portrait with my new flash! I am definitely still on the learning curve of how to use it, but it's starting to make more sense to me.
This portrait is a little more conceptual, obviously. I was thinking about how much gender contributes not only to how other people perceive us but to our own self-concept as well, and this is how I pictured it working out.
Until I became a feminist, I was not aware of how many things I thought I wanted or thought I enjoyed because I was a girl, and, well, women are supposed to like weddings and babies and domestic stuff. Once I realized how influential society was in shaping what I thought about myself, I became more free to express myself more outside of that "filter" of gender. Of course I'm not sure that one can really escape that entirely, but it's a step in a happier direction. :)
Let me know what you think! :)
I bet they would be fun at a party.
Can you guess who these two were before I when digital all over them?
1979: An operator is using the first generation of digital systems for page lay-out. When speaking of kilobytes versus megabytes you would need a room. Luckely we don't need a complete room anymore and the systems today are more precise.
Purely a creative exercise in Photoshop. Apart from the face and hands, which are from 2 different stock images, the whole thing is made up of individual elements all shot one by one by me. Every leaf, every twig, every berry is seperate and merged in Photoshop. I was trying to create something along the lines of a Christopher Bradbury. A bit strange but something different!
I live in the middle of nowhere, where nowhere's all around
And in the middle of nowhere, there are many nowhere sounds
Colourful birds in the middle of nowhere screech and squawk and trill
A choir of frogs sing in chorus in the centre of nowheresville
Sometimes I go to somewhere, where somewhere's all around
And in the middle of somewhere there are many somewhere sounds
Cars in the middle of somewhere screech their tyres and blare their horns
Jackhammers hammer, sirens wail singing the cacophonous somewhere song
Then I love to get back to nowhere, where nowhere's all around
Because in the middle of nowhere, there's something all around
Peace and harmony and stillness are everywhere I see
Right in the middle of nowhere is where I like to be

Background information: Enrico Banducci - born Harry Banducci - (February 17, 1922 – October 9, 2007) was an American impresario. Banducci operated the hungry i nightclub in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood. There he launched the careers of Lenny Bruce, Mort Sahl, Bill Cosby, Jonathan Winters, Woody Allen and Barbra Streisand, as well as many folk singers. The hungry i featured the original brick wall in the stage background, a staple for stand up comedy presentations ever since. Banducci bought the hungry i from its founder, Eric "Big Daddy" Nord, in 1950. Banducci later also started the Clown Alley hamburger stand as well as Enrico's Sidewalk Cafe on Broadway, a restaurant and jazz club that has been in and out of business.
