Dad took us to the Waffle House for breakfast, afterward he had to smoke so I played with my camera. Dad asked "Why is she taking a picture of the wall? The fam says "For Flickr" in unison. "Whats a Flickr...?" Yall know the deal. After some splaining he was all into it (Whata Guy) adding ideas of his own.
He said He "Couldnt get a computer because he'd get addicted and would never leave the screen." The fam points at me in unison. (Sheesh)
Yeah I know, Dad, I know

Steeped in myth and legend, castles have an ambiance and magic of a time long-forgotten. In a castle located deep in the English countryside, it is said that you can hear the rustle of her ghostly dress as she walks the corridors in search of her long, lost husband.
This is an illustration and photomontage stitched together in Photoshop. The castle is an original photograph I took at St. Michaelâs Mount in England.
The cloud and very distant trees are real as it is a view from my bedroom window. The view is towards Castle Eden Dene near Peterlee, County Durham. The trees in the foreground and the distance lightning are all additions via brushes, I darkened the lower portion of the foreground as it was originally rooftops. The birds are custom shapes. Photoshop is all about having a little fun and seeing how I could enhance the scene around this lovely looking cloud.
Letter setting (with Linotype) is a tedious skill upon which all todays technology of typography is based on.

Ain't she a beauty? After piecing together several clips "ransom note" style, not so much. Believe it or not, she consists of four glamourous Hollywood celebrities. I used this technique intentionally for effect to emphasize each women's most prominent features and kept them proportionate within the facial frame. Just goes to show: "All that glitters is not gold." Or is it? After staring at this for some time, I saw a resemblance of a completely different celebrity altogether!
Anyone care to venture a guess who the four celebs are before I reveal the source files?

1979: An operator is using the first generation of digital systems for page lay-out. When speaking of kilobytes versus megabytes you would need a room. Luckely we don't need a complete room anymore and the systems today are more precise.

It's good to sometimes try and see ordinary things in a little different light, or from a different perspective.
