Awww. The gift that keeps on giving… to be made queen of all the dark hoards of the underworld. With hundreds of skeletons at your beck and call :)

I had this shot of the Chevy taken earlier this year which has already made an appearance in another of my images 'who left that there'.
Was looking for a reason to break this out and use another shot. This was a 3-shot HDR of the truck with Yann of the Bonneville Barons, composited into the foreground.

Having seen Ian's brilliant Oob's I had to give it a go.
Had quite a time trying to re-create the water arch :))

Thank you Tigersgirl for the model.
Ok, that's enough zombies for now. Here's something a little more relaxed.
The car and the background were rendered out from Daz Studio and Kayla was composited into the scene.
Recently I visited the campus of The University of Arizona, here in Tucson. I got inspired by some of the cool looking architecture. I take my camera phone with me everywhere I go. I created this image using a bunch of tricky editing techniques.. I use GIMP image editing software because it's FREE... Photoshop is way too expensive..
A sunset as seen from the parking lot of the Panda North Chinese restaurant on the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Highway (aka the Putney Road, aka Connecticut River Byway, aka US Route 5) in Brattleboro, Vermont. The meal was wonderful, too.
Press [L] for Lightbox.
A very 'Dave Hill' inspired one this.
My model Sarah-Jane is shot against a neutral grey background and composited into the scene.
All backgrounds are themselves composites of various elements to create a 'hopefully' dramatic theatrical quality.

Thanks to DeviantArt for brushes and backgrounds.
I've missed a trick here. Should've rendered the skeleton with its mouth open and head back so Sarah-Jane could be shooting it straight through the head. Ah well, next time.
It's been a while since I uploaded any personal project work. The troublesome business of earning a living has gotten in the way. Still... I have been working with some great new software including Poser Pro (hence the skeleton foe for my model Sarah-Jane) and Daz 3D.
This is based on a previous image which I'd always wished had a second character for some interaction. Well, here's some supernatural hi-jinks to be getting on with.
Hope to bring you more examples using real world imagery and computer-generated elements soon.

The year is 1907, but look who's rowing. They both seem to be enjoying it. Rowing, it must be said, does wonders for the bust. He should probably be fixing his gaze a little higher, though; she has such a pretty face.
The original appears in New England Sketchbook's photostream. Flock of seagulls compliments of ladybee82; thanks, Brittany. The sky was photographed over Harwich a century later and has been colored a bit by hand.
Digital creation.
Thank you all known and unknown friends in Flickr for your visit

The background was shot at a place called Golitha Falls in Cornwall - here's another 'keep it simple' composite with a stock photo which was shot against a grey background, so all my usual compositing techniques could be applied without modification.

Another simple one. Just a background texture. I was going to remove the trunk and replace it - but heck, I liked it!

Lunch at the Captain's is always a treat. An infrequent one, though. Deep fried clams, shrimp, scallops or lobster roll--it all tastes great, but there is no low fat fare on this menu.

Chris and Yann of the Bonneville Barons once again. They are shot against grey and composited into the scene. This particular background is actually a 3D model that was rendered in a program called Carrara 8. I set the rez quite high and then had to wait 7 hours for the finished result! That said, being able to create a summer scene in the depths of winter is quite handy :)
