As you look through the wavy glass of the 108 year old kitchen window, you see a forsythia plant outside and also the exterior of the home. That exterior wall comes in at an *L* shape to the kitchen. The window in that wall was my bedroom window. So you are looking from inside, past the kitchen sink and window sill to the yard. You are also looking from inside the house to the outside wall and window of the bedroom.
When I took the picture in about 1992 and was trying to learn how to do Polaroid Manipulations, the house was roughly 82 years old.
This house is now 108 years old as of April 2018. Many of the windows still have the wavy glass from long ago. The home was eligible (still is) to be on the National Historic Register. I was the only one who felt that was a honor and that we should embrace that. I was outvoted. I hope the new owners will consider it. Each year, more and more of the old homes in Linn County (other places too, but that was where my home was) are deteriorating much faster than that one was. It was be a great representative of an early Linn County farm house. Oregon had only been a state for about 50 years and the American Civil War had only been over about 45 years when the house was built.
"W" is for Window as in Kitchen Window

Nearly the only thing still green in the garden, this clover still had morning dew on it, even after some very light snow flurries.. all the beads clustered on the leeward side, and reflecting winter skies. I converted the file in Photoshop from RGB color to LAB color, and used a curves layer to force the greens and blues further apart and intensify them, for this effect. (Image>Mode>Lab Color)
Image was shot with a vintage Polaroid SX-70 camera using Impossible Project PX70 V4B Test film. Waited about 4 hours and then did an emulsion lift onto watercolor paper

Zombies rendered in Daz Studio, output as PNG files and it's all nailed together in Photoshop.
Another 'unexpected alliance' image. Zombies as good guys working alongside our heroine... who'd have thought it?

I know my dear...
you're gone now, farewell has come.
This dream is all I have.
Dear, please come back to me;
Farewell isn't forever,
Or is it?,

A re-working of the 'Armed and dangerous' image I did before. Just felt this was more dramatic.
My model Sarah-Jane is shot against a neutral grey background and composited into the scene.
All backgrounds are themselves composites of various elements to create a 'hopefully' dramatic theatrical quality.

Yesterday (Oct 8th ) It was an EXPLORE, thanks you a lot flickers!!!!!!
So I had this song "Pocket full of sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield in my head when I was imagining this. Especially the lyric "Take me away, to a secret place". I wanted to showcase an escape. Flying away from troubles and reality. A mental state that every human on the face of the earth goes through at least once in their lifetime.
If only we were born with wings! We would spread it as far as possible and fly endlessly! The Sky has no limit unlike the oceans. As humans, I guess our dreams will always be our only wings. Our only escape.

This tree is on the side of the highway I use to drive while going to work.
It was a lot of time I wanted to shoot at it.
This morning it was rather stormy and I was feeling rather sad.
I stopped my car and I shot.

GAZ-AA
In 1929 the first trucks Ford-AA and cars Ford-A were built in Nizhny Novgorod from parts shipped from the USA. In parallel a new automobile plant began to grow in Nizhny Novgorod (since 1932 Gorky). The name GAZ stands for Gorky Automobile Zavod (Plant). In January of 1932 the first GAZ-AA truck (almost a copy of the Ford-AA) was produced in the new plant. At the very beginning their cabins were wooden. In 1938 the new model appeared. GAZ-MM was exactly GAZ-AA supplied with GAZ-M1 engine. But I didn't meet GAZ-MM name in all reference guides and Militia documents issued before 1948-1949, when this name appeared in enormous amount. This truck was the main automobile in the Red Army in the first two years of 1941-1945 war together with ZIS-5. The disadvantage of these two models was that they were more than 10 years old. But their advantages were doubtlessly in their simplicity, ability to run on pure quality fuel and also simplification of models in the Red Army: only having two truck models in all. So this GAZ-AA truck is a very famous and respected vehicle in the Soviet Union. For its 1.5 tonne cargo capacity, people called it "Polutorka" ("poltora" means one and a half).
GAZ-AA and all of their modifications disappeared from our roads at the beginning of 1960s. The Russian people were prohibited to own trucks and even pickups until 1986 and disabled "polutorki" were mercilessly used as scrap metal. In the 1970-80's it was fashionable to install them (and ZIS trucks either) everywhere as monuments. Of course this is better than destruction, but they were seriously corroded by the weather. Nevertheless the standard GAZ-AA is not too rare even now, because of the enormous amount produced.
