Recklinghausen II (Schächte 1/2/4) Recklinghausen 23.10.1989,
Schacht 4 "Konrad Ende".
1990 wurde das Baufeld Recklinghausen II abgeworfen und die Schächte verfüllt.
Heute ist nur noch das Fördergerüst Schacht 4 (ohne Schachthalle) mit den 2 Fördermaschinenhäusern und einer Dampffördermaschine von 1963 nebst Kauen- und Verwaltungsgebäude erhalten.

Another image from my Huawei P20 Pro phone. It certainly has a tendency to oversharpen images. Annoying, but works quite well with cloud pics. This is the second solo cloud I thought worthy of posting. I'll be keeping an eye out to see if I can add to the series.

Sleeping Swan II
A re-edit of an image I took 2 years ago today. Since then I feel I have grown as a photographer in many ways including gaining far more skills in post processing.
I have been using @captureonepro for nearly a year now and as I needed to learn how it worked, it almost reset my editing approach. I think I had become too complacent and reliant on presets. I have found many benefits to Capture One Pro which I will put down in a future blog post.
This image was edited in Capture One Pro and the first thing I noticed was the colours. Capture One’s RAW processing appeared to make the colours pop more than before.

Vineyards on Lanzarote are located on post-volcanic terrains and a special (and simple) infrastructure is used to increase humidity on the ground. The previous shot in my stream presents a different type of structure.

The legend of the Dreamcatcher
The Native Americans of the Great Plains believe the air is filled with both good and bad dreams. Historically, dreamcatchers were hung in the tipi or lodge or on a baby's cradle board.
According to legend, good dreams pass through the center hole to the sleeping person. The bad dreams are trapped in the web, where they perish in the light of dawn.
