Turkey Hunting with Chad and Ed April 2010
IMG_2301
A great team effort. Chad couldn't hear this turkey but I heard him gobbling all morning from where I was. Ed called the turkey in and I saw him and called chad to say a bird was heading his way on the run. He passed Chad and I ran to intercept just in case. I saw him and was close enough to shoot, but couldn't determine his sex. When I saw the beard, he saw me and took off towards Chad. Ten seconds later, BOOM, Chad nailed him from about 60 yards on the run, an unbelievable shot!

It is still practiced around the world, and the falconer's traditional choice of bird is the northern goshawk or the peregrine falcon, shown here.
