Hunting Island Beach in South Carolina. This is a beautiful beach to spend a day enjoying the salt air and peacefulness of the area.
We brought Huxley along as well, as we like to have an experienced dog along with a novice dog. That way we are less likely to lose birds if the novice dog isn't sure what to do. Huxley got sent for the difficult retrieves and Tima got sent for the easier ones. It was great experience for her. Huxley seemed to enjoy his role of showing Tima how hunting works!

Hunting on the shore of Hylebos creek in Fife, Wa. Frogs are abundant in the area. This bird never left while I went to get a bigger lens.
Built by Hunting Aircraft in order to test the concept of blown flaps, or as they were known in Britain, "jet flaps". Only one aircraft was built, being flown in a series of one hundred test flights at the Royal Aircraft Establishment's Aerodynamics Flight at RAE Bedford. It was then sent to the United States for wind tunnel testing by NASA.
The 'jet flap' was intended to improve take-off and landing performance, i.e. to enable aircraft to use shorter runways. To generate more lift, a system of sixteen nozzles positioned along the trailing edge of the wing directed more than half the engine's exhaust gases over the upper surface of the flaps. Another 10% of the engine's exhaust was directed through small nozzles in the wing tips and tail to provide control at low speeds.
Due to the impracticalities of the nozzle system's complex ducting and its adverse effect on engine power, the jet flap was not developed further.
