The history of the crimson-covered tea room and the adjacent, yellow held billiard-room is characterized by a specialty:
The equipment of both chambers in 1867 was replaced by Archduke Albrecht.
Tearoom
For this, the partition has been moved to a window bay and all decorative elements of the panelings and windows as well as the floors were replaced. (Speaking of "tea": Since 1895, the TE.E. butter was from the Te(Schener - Duchy of Teschen - Tesín) E(rzherzoglichen - arch-duke) Dairy to Vienna delivered, of which still today the term "tea butter" reminds.)
The billiard room served the evening amusements of the nobility, specifically Duke Albert and Archduke Carl preferring the billardgame the hasardeurhaften (reckless) card games.

"It is my will that the expansion of the inner city of Vienna with regard to a suitable connection of the same with the suburbs as soon as possible is tackled and at this on Regulirung (regulation) and beautifying of my Residence and Imperial Capital is taken into account. To this end I grant the withdrawal of the ramparts and fortifications of the inner city and the trenches around the same".
This decree of Emperor Franz Joseph I, published on 25 December 1857 in the Wiener Zeitung, formed the basis for the largest the surface concerning and architecturally most significant transformation of the Viennese cityscape. Involving several renowned domestic and foreign architects a "master plan" took form, which included the construction of a boulevard instead of the ramparts between the inner city and its radially upstream suburbs. In the 50-years during implementation phase, an impressive architectural ensemble developed, consisting of imperial and private representational buildings, public administration and cultural buildings, churches and barracks, marking the era under the term "ring-street style". Already in the first year tithe decided a senior member of the Austrian imperial family to decorate the facades of his palace according to the new design principles, and thus certified the aristocratic claim that this also "historicism" said style on the part of the imperial house was attributed.

It was the palace of Archduke Albrecht (1817-1895), the Senior of the Habsburg Family Council, who as Field Marshal held the overall command over the Austro-Hungarian army. The building was incorporated into the imperial residence of the Hofburg complex, forming the south-west corner and extending eleven meters above street level on the so-called Augustinerbastei.
The close proximity of the palace to the imperial residence corresponded not only with Emperor Franz Joseph I and Archduke Albert with a close familial relationship between the owner of the palace and the monarch. Even the former inhabitants were always in close relationship to the imperial family, whether by birth or marriage. An exception here again proves the rule: Don Emanuel Teles da Silva Conde Tarouca (1696-1771), for which Maria Theresa in 1744 the palace had built, was just a close friend and advisor of the monarch. Silva Tarouca underpins the rule with a second exception, because he belonged to the administrative services as Generalhofbaudirektor (general court architect) and President of the Austrian-Dutch administration, while all other him subsequent owners were highest ranking military.
In the annals of Austrian history, especially those of military history, they either went into as commander of the Imperial Army, or the Austrian, later kk Army. Despite their military profession, all five generals conceived themselves as patrons of the arts and promoted large sums of money to build large collections, the construction of magnificent buildings and cultural life. Charles Alexander of Lorraine promoted as governor of the Austrian Netherlands from 1741 to 1780 the Academy of Fine Arts, the Théâtre de Ja Monnaie and the companies Bourgeois Concert and Concert Noble, he founded the Academie royale et imperial des Sciences et des Lettres, opened the Bibliotheque Royal for the population and supported artistic talents with high scholarships. World fame got his porcelain collection, which however had to be sold by Emperor Joseph II to pay off his debts. Duke Albert began in 1776 according to the concept of conte Durazzo to set up an encyclopedic collection of prints, which forms the core of the world-famous "Albertina" today.

1816 declared to Fideikommiss and thus in future indivisible, inalienable and inseparable, the collection 1822 passed into the possession of Archduke Carl, who, like his descendants, it broadened. Under him, the collection was introduced together with the sumptuously equipped palace on the Augustinerbastei in the so-called "Carl Ludwig'schen fideicommissum in 1826, by which the building and the in it kept collection fused into an indissoluble unity. At this time had from the Palais Tarouca by structural expansion or acquisition a veritable Residenz palace evolved. Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschen was first in 1800 the third floor of the adjacent Augustinian convent wing adapted to house his collection and he had after 1802 by his Belgian architect Louis de Montoyer at the suburban side built a magnificent extension, called the wing of staterooms, it was equipped in the style of Louis XVI. Under Archduke Albrecht the outer appearance also should meet the requirements. Inside, he limited himself, apart from the redesign of the Rococo room in the manner of the second Blondel style, to the retention of the paternal stock. Archduke Friedrich's plans for an expansion of the palace were omitted, however, because of the outbreak of the First World War so that his contribution to the state rooms, especially, consists in the layout of the Spanish apartment, which he in 1895 for his sister, the Queen of Spain Maria Christina, had set up as a permanent residence.

The era of stately representation with handing down their cultural values found its most obvious visualization inside the palace through the design and features of the staterooms. On one hand, by the use of the finest materials and the purchase of masterfully manufactured pieces of equipment, such as on the other hand by the permanent reuse of older equipment parts. This period lasted until 1919, when Archduke Friedrich was expropriated by the newly founded Republic of Austria. With the republicanization of the collection and the building first of all finished the tradition that the owner's name was synonymous with the building name:
After Palais Tarouca or tarokkisches house it was called Lorraine House, afterwards Duke Albert Palais and Palais Archduke Carl. Due to the new construction of an adjacently located administration building it received in 1865 the prefix "Upper" and was referred to as Upper Palais Archduke Albrecht and Upper Palais Archduke Frederick. For the state a special reference to the Habsburg past was certainly politically no longer opportune, which is why was decided to name the building according to the in it kept collection "Albertina".

This name derives from the term "La Collection Albertina" which had been used by the gallery Inspector Maurice von Thausing in 1870 in the Gazette des Beaux-Arts for the former graphics collection of Duke Albert. For this reason, it was the first time since the foundation of the palace that the name of the collection had become synonymous with the room shell. Room shell, hence, because the Republic of Austria Archduke Friedrich had allowed to take along all the movable goods from the palace in his Hungarian exile: crystal chandeliers, curtains and carpets as well as sculptures, vases and clocks. Particularly stressed should be the exquisite furniture, which stems of three facilities phases: the Louis XVI furnitures of Duke Albert, which had been manufactured on the basis of fraternal relations between his wife Archduchess Marie Christine and the French Queen Marie Antoinette after 1780 in the French Hofmanufakturen, also the on behalf of Archduke Charles 1822-1825 in the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory by Joseph Danhauser produced Empire furnitures and thirdly additions of the same style of Archduke Friedrich, which this about 1900 at Portois & Ffix as well as at Friedrich Otto Schmidt had commissioned.
The "swept clean" building got due to the strained financial situation after the First World War initially only a makeshift facility. Las Bodegas López de Heredia son las más antiguas de Haro y unas de las tres primeras de La Rioja. Un conjunto que por su solidez y grandiosidad ha merecido la denominación de "Catedral del Vino".
La Galería
La Casita o Chalet suizo, como llamaba D. Rafael López de Heredia Landeta a su vivienda –y que desde 1896 se incorpora en las etiquetas de la bodega–, ya estaba construida en 1886. La familia López de Heredia Aransáez crece hasta llegar a 14 descendientes, en 1903. En esta fecha se estaba construyendo la galería que unía las dos viviendas de la bodega, para albergar a la numerosa prole. La obra se encarga según los planos del Archivo en 1889, y el herrero la concluye en 1903, fecha en la que el vidriero Basilio Paraíso de Cristalería La Veneciana de Zaragoza coloca los cristales coloreados y tallados al ácido. Posteriormente un pintor de Vitoria hace la pintura.
El pabellón de visitantes y la adecuación del acceso y patio de la bodega, es la primera fase de un proyecto global de museo que promueve la bodega López de Heredia, a fin de potenciar el conocimiento de sus instalaciones y su historia. Se trata de una construcción modular metálica situada en el patio de la bodega y que es el nuevo acceso de los visitantes. Esta construcción se concibió como un edificio desmontable, y se erigió originalmente en 2002 con motivo del 125 aniversario de la bodega en la feria Alimentaria en Barcelona. En su interior se expone el pabellón modernista realizado, según diseño del arquitecto J. Cabrera y Latorre, por el carpintero Juan Sagrado, el ebanista José Besga para la exposición de Bruselas de 1910, y cuyo trabajo ornamental se atribuye al escultor y tallista Fidel Vargas y San Román. La restauración se efectúa por Blanca Ameztoy Fernández-Montes.
Para que la pequeña instalación pudiese recobrar su antiguo esplendor y utilidad, se pensó en crear una estructura exterior que lo cubriera y protegiera.
“En López de Heredia conocíamos y admirábamos la obra de Zaha Hadid, arquitecta iraquí afincada en Londres y conocida por la espectacularidad, innovación, plasticidad, atrevimiento y sutileza de sus obras. Acudimos a ella para la realización de este proyecto que enseguida saldría adelante, dado el entusiasmo que la arquitecta mostró por la idea, y la sensibilidad que puso de manifiesto a la hora de integrar tradición y modernidad, vino y estética, naturaleza y arquitectura”.
El punto de partida fue un puente entre el pasado, presente y futuro desarrollo de las bodegas. La necesidad de un stand que debía ubicarse al aire libre, motivó la creación de una estructura exterior que lo cubriera y lo protegiera, concebida como algo “escultórico”, una estructura fija que toma como punto de apoyo estructural el pabellón original. Como una serie de muñecas rusas. Esta pieza se resuelve con una construcción modular metálica y de madera, pensada como un edificio desmontable, cuya sección distorsionada de un rectángulo alrededor del antiguo pabellón dio una forma parecida a un decantador. No fue un punto final intencionado, pero se había diseñado una botella nueva para un vino viejo. La integración de este edificio con la construcción existente se realiza a través de un entramado de líneas metálicas que construyen el nuevo pavimento del patio y sus accesos.
El Stand ha sido premio de instalaciones en los Premio Corian de Diseño 2010, valorándose por el jurado el impacto de la instalación, la gran plasticidad orgánica y el carácter funcional como soporte de los productos del vino, además de servir de banco para los asistentes

The third week of camp was a busy one for all our campers! The senior boys went and saw the Trenton Thunder play, the junior girls went to BounceU, the CITs went tubing, and a few groups went bowling. This week also including some visiting days for many groups. Also, our first Twilight parties of the season were this week! Its the third week down and a great fourth week to come!

MUROS 2016 Naturalezas Urbanas Muros Tabacalera 2016. Glorieta de Embajadores cv a Miguel Servet y Mesón de Paredes. Madrid
Muros es un proyecto anual que busca la recuperación de los muros del perímetro exterior del patio del edificio de Tabacalera, con el objetivo de convertirlos en espacios de arte para disfrute de todos los ciudadanos. Entre los días 5 y 13 de mayo de 2014, 32 artistas llevaron a cabo 27 intervenciones de arte urbano en las tapias situadas en la glorieta de Embajadores y en las calles de Miguel Servet y Mesón de Paredes.
De esta forma, se pretende dar un nuevo uso a este espacio de la ciudad, convirtiéndolo en una galería de arte en el espacio público, así como trasladar al exterior del edificio de Tabacalera la relevancia artístico-cultural de su interior.
Muros nace como un proyecto anual con vocación de continuidad. En esta primera edición, el proyecto ha pretendido dar relevancia al concepto de “contexto” como elemento fundamental en la propia naturaleza del arte urbano. Por ello, todos los artistas seleccionados forman o han formado parte en algún momento de la escena del arte urbano en Madrid y, muchos de ellos, en concreto, se encuentran directamente vinculados con la actividad artística de Tabacalera. Las intervenciones artísticas llevadas a cabo son libres y sin una temática concreta, permitiendo así a los artistas crear una obra acorde con su línea de trabajo pero integrada a su vez en el contexto en el que se realizan.
Muros, el proyecto de Madrid Street Art Project para el Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, pretendía reconvertir el perímetro del edificio de Tabacalera en un espacio dedicado al arte urbano, a su creación y disfrute, y transformar así unas paredes toscas y grises en un lugar para la creación artística en el espacio público, para su disfrute estético y conceptual, para la reflexión y el pensamiento. El ánimo y la fuerza para llevarlo a cabo partieron principalmente de los artistas participantes, con sus sprays, pinceles, botes de pintura e incluso paletas y cemento, pero sobre todo con su creatividad, trabajo y esfuerzo.
“Muros” es un proyecto que recupera los muros del perímetro exterior del patio del edificio de Tabacalera, convirtiéndolos en espacios de arte urbano para disfrute de todos los ciudadanos.
Tras el éxito de la primera edición en mayo de 2014, en junio de 2016, otros 25 nuevos artistas dan vida a las paredes de la Glorieta de Embajadores y de las calles Miguel Servet y Mesón de Paredes (Madrid).
En esta segunda edición, las creaciones giran en torno al concepto de Naturalezas Urbanas: la ciudad contemporánea, por el modo de vida que sostiene y el tipo de sociedad que alberga, conlleva una parte hostil hacia las personas, entre otras cosas por el exceso de contaminación y su carencia general de espacios naturales. Con esta propuesta, Muros Tabacalera busca revertir este estado de cosas, aunque sea de manera metafórica, a través del arte, mediante intervenciones que sustituyan artísticamente el cemento gris por naturaleza.
Entre el 14 y el 22 de junio, los muros exteriores de Tabacalera, recibieron la visita de estos 25 artistas: Add Fuel, Alice Pasquini, Animalitoland, Antonyo Marest, Btoy, Casassola, Chincheta, Dadi Dreucol, Deno, Digo Diego, Doa Oa, Gola Hundun, Grip Face, J.M. Yes, Julieta XLF, Koctel, Laguna, Lelo, Lolo, Nano4814, Nuriatoll, Okuda, Rubén Sánchez, Tellas y Zosen.

Happy Fourth of July, Everyone! I saved this image taken on a photo stroll in June, for the moment I got it I thought right away that this would be a photo as American as can be. Passing the young couple, I stopped to ask if they'd mind a photo because the light was so right and they said yes. Then as I got my camera up to focus, they suddenly kissed. Woohoo!
The bridge over Tempe Town Lake is featured in many previous photos of my stream, and the young man's belt buckle too, ha ha! Couldn't believe that just at that moment the flag furled out so classic, so this was a photo moment meant to be. A set for the images is in "Tempe Time".

La Parroquia de San Gabriel Arcángel, anteriormente era un monasterio de franciscanos, que aunque llegaron a la Nueva España en 1524, su orden fue la primera en asentarse en el barrio de Tacuba construyendo una de las primeras iglesias en el Valle de México.
Este sitio histórico ha sufrido muchas transformaciones, que se dieron en dos momentos: uno cuando se modificó su planta a principios del siglo XVIII con los consecuentes cambios en partes de su estructura y la del convento franciscano.
En el siglo XX se hicieron adosamientos, abrieron muros, cubrieron arcos y las dimensiones del atrio variaron al grado que hubo épocas en que no existió. Respecto al siglo XIX, posiblemente se dieron cambios en su estructura e interior, pero no existen evidencias claras de alguna modificación realizada durante este período, tampoco información documental.
Durante la época prehispánica, Tacuba se conoció como Tlacopan que significa "sobre las jarillas" o "sobre los mimbres", centro rector de la región tepaneca a partir de la caída de Azcapotzalco y de la conformación de la Triple Alianza, por cierto, fue uno de sus miembros junto con México-Tenochtitlán y Texcoco.
El reconocimiento del señorío de Tlacopan, por parte de los españoles, permitió que su importancia prevaleciera en la época colonial debido a que además estaba asentada en una región agrícola que permitió el desarrollo de un buen número de haciendas y de la cual Tacuba continúo siendo cabecera.
En la década de los 60, el presbítero José Reyes propuso construir un retablo apostólico muy similar a los del siglo XVII o XVIII, tomando como base nueve pinturas originales de los apóstoles encontradas en el templo; en su remate estaría el Padre Eterno y en su parte central la escultura de Cristo Crucificado, retablo que fue colocado al término de los 80, así como la barda atrial con sus dos accesos de tres puertas en forma de arcada; en el interior del atrio se estableció un jardín y en su parte noreste se colocó un busto en honor a Plácido Domingo por su participación en las obras de salvamento del terremoto de 1985.
En la plaza del convento, en su extremo sur, se construyó en la década de los 90 una pequeña capilla donde en abril de 1995 se develó una placa conmemorativa de las obras de conservación y mantenimiento llevadas a cabo por el presbítero José Reyes.
Es así como se concluye que la iglesia de San Gabriel Arcángel de Tacuba, patrimonio cultural del siglo XVI, no sólo de Tacuba sino del pasado novohispano, ha transitado desde su fundación por una serie de procesos de cambio, reflejo de los acontecimientos que se han suscitado en el devenir histórico de nuestro país.
Después de la Conquista y colonización españolas se construyó el convento y la iglesia, lo que obedeció a un sentido evangelizador y estuvo presente, además, lo político al edificarse en el centro rector de la otrora región tepaneca, confluencia de los habitantes de los pueblos bajo su jurisdicción.
Su construcción se dio en una época de cambios sustanciales en las instituciones novohispanas, en momentos en que la Corona iba teniendo más control sobre las comunidades indígenas y la sociedad novohispana se consolidaba.
La modernización en sus diferentes épocas ha influido, un ejemplo lo tenemos en la construcción de la Línea 2 del Metro, que trajo como consecuencia el deterioro del inmueble.
El interior, los cambios han sido propiciados por diferentes acontecimientos históricos entre los que podemos indicar: la lucha entre el clero regular y secular que dio como resultado la secularización de la iglesia de Tacuba. Estos han influido en su conservación como uno de los pocos monumentos históricos que quedan en el pueblo de Tacuba, testigo de su importancia socioeconómica .
Necesario es crear conciencia del descuido de estos bienes culturales debido, muchas veces, al desconocimiento de su valor histórico.

Australia was approaching its bicentennial celebrations, and after Brisbane’s success hosting the 1982 Commonwealth Games, Brisbane City Council and the Queensland State Government were confident they could win the bid to hold the next World Exhibition.
Brisbane won the right to hold the event and Expo 88 was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 30 April 1988. By the time it closed, it had changed the way the world saw Brisbane and helped shaped the city as we know it today.
Starting with an estimated budget of $645 million, the Queensland State Government developed a World Expo that would recoup and support its own costs and promote international investment in Queensland, both during and after the event. South Bank, badly damaged in the 1973–74 floods, was chosen and the site acquired for $150 million. Developers completed construction on time and within budget. The targets set for ticket sales were reached 11 weeks before Expo 88 had even opened. It was off to a smashing start.
Celebrating ‘Leisure in the age of technology’, there was an incredible range of pavilions, performances, parades, comedy and artwork on show. Guests could experience over 50 restaurants filled with flavours from around the globe. Hosted over six months, it drew more than 18 million people to the renewed South Bank parklands district. An average of 100,000 people a day entered the gates.
An influx of royalty, celebrities and international visitors came to Brisbane for the exhibition, but it was Queensland residents who attended the most often, purchasing 500,000 season tickets. Expo 88 provided something the city needed: an easy-to-access recreational facility with exciting things to do, see and experience. Brisbanites returned again and again to socialise and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
The monorail was one of the most popular attractions. Giving travellers a view of the entertainments from above, it operated along a 2.3-kilometre track during Expo 88, taking up to 44,000 visitors a day from one side of Expo to the other, along the Brisbane River. Built by Swedish manufacturer Von Roll, the monorail cost $12 million and comprised four MkII trains with nine carriages each. The idea of keeping the monorail operating after Expo and extending it into the Brisbane CBD was discussed. Ultimately, the existing monorail wasn’t a feasible long-term people-moving solution and it was disbursed. Three trains were sold back to Von Roll and were used in Germany’s Europa-Park. The remaining train and some tracks were incorporated into the Sea World theme park on the Gold Coast.
Some of the most significant installations, exhibitions and artworks from Expo 88 were relocated and continue to be enjoyed today. Ken Done AM, a prominent Australian artist and designer, was commissioned to produce the entry and exit statement art pieces for the Australia Pavilion. Using the word ‘Australia’, Done produced a sign nearly six metres tall that could not be missed by anyone who attended Expo 88. The letters have since been restored and are on display at the Caboolture Heritage Village. The Nepal Peace Pagoda was the only international pavilion that remained on-site, after a petition asking that it remain attracted about 70,000 signatures. The Japan Garden and Pond were gifted to the city of Brisbane and moved to the Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-Tha.
The buzz of activity, the investment in South Bank’s infrastructure and the spotlight on Brisbane transformed the city. The physical legacy left by Expo 88 turned South Bank into a thriving social space and prominent cultural hotspot: 42 hectares was dedicated to the construction of the South Bank Parklands.

24TH ORDINARY SESSION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF AFRICAN UNION HEADS OF STATE AND GOVERNMENT BEGINS IN ADDIS ABABA
Addis Ababa Ethiopia, 30 January 2015-The 24th summit of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union, which started in Addis Ababa today has heard from distinguished speakers of the progress and some of the challenges that Africa faces, as well as proposals for the way forward. The opening ceremony of the summit also saw the election of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe as the Union’s Chairperson for the year 2015.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 24th summit of the African Union today, Dr DlaminiZuma said Africa has no choice but to move forward and upwards. The continent, she said, has been climbing, “a step at a time, up the steep cliff towards peace, prosperity and the restoration of the dignity of its people”.
She projected that the present generation is the one that will eradicate poverty, disease and hunger. “We are the generation that shall manage diversity and silence the guns”, she added.
The Chairperson recalled that, at the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Organisation of African Unity in 2013, the continent’s resolve to be in charge of its destiny, informed its decision to develop Agenda 2063 “through a people-driven process for the realization of our vision for an integrated, people-centred, prosperous Africa at peace with itself”. The Agenda 2063 framework document will be presented for adoption by the Heads of State and Government today.
Agenda 2063 outlines the aspirations and the concrete programmes to steer the continent for the next fifty years: to diversify African economies and industrialise; to have a skills and entrepreneurial revolution, unleashing the creativity and energy of young people, and to effect an agricultural and agro-processing transformation, so that Africa can feed itself and contribute to feeding the world.
The summit of African Union Heads of State and Government is being held under the theme “Year of Women’s Empowerment and Development”. Various speakers at the summit’s opening ceremony expressed their commitment to mainstreaming women in all socio- economic activities, with Malawian President Mr PeterMutharika dedicating his entire statement to the topic. He outlined major successes achieved by his country, but also mentioned the challenges they face. However he gave his commitment that his government will continue to strive to achieve gender equality. United Nations Secretary General Mr Ban Ki Moon also expressed strong support for the AU’s annual theme: “Women must be at the center and front of all our lives”, he said.
Issues of peace and security dominated many of the presentations by the African and visiting Heads of State and Government. President of the State of Palestine and Chairperson of the Palestine Liberation Organisation Executive Committee Mr Mahmoud Abbas spoke of his government’s desire and the efforts being exerted to achieve a Palestinian state living side by side with the state of Israel.
Many of the leaders condemned terrorism in very strong terms, with then outgoing Chairperson of the African Union Mr Mohammed Ould Abdelaziz saying, “Terrorism remains a global scourge and fighting it requires cooperation at the international level.”AUC Chairperson Dr Dlamini Zuma also cautioned that Africa should be aware of the new global threats such as terrorism, insecurity and climate change. “Terrorism, in particular the brutality of Boko Haram against our people, the senseless killings, the destruction of property, the enslavement and sale of our people, our girls kidnapped and married, and the terrorization of villages, are a threat to our collective safety, security and development”.
The Ebola virus disease that affected mostly three countries in West Africa attracted a lot of attention at the meeting of the Heads of State and Government. AU Commission Chairperson Dr NkosazanaDlaminiZuma praised the work of the 835 African health workers who were deployed to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone under the banner of the African Union Support to the Ebola Outbreak in West Africa (ASEOWA). She also extended her gratitude to the ASEOWA head of mission Dr Julius Oketta and the African private sector that is raising funds to keep the health workers on the ground until the affected countries are declared Ebola free. There are signs that, due to the work of the ASEOWA health workers among others, the Ebola crisis is now abating, with the incidents of infection and death from the disease vastly decreasing.
Tunisian President Mr Beji Caid Essebsi informed the summit that “the democratic process chosen by Tunisians is irreversible”. Tunisians, he said, had proven that the people of Africa can build the continent with their own hands. He also said Tunisia is proud of being African.
New Zambian President Mr Edgar Lungu thanked the African Union for supporting his country through the death of Mr Michael Satain October 2014 and the subsequent elections that ushered him into power. He thanked the Southern African Development Community, the AU and other organisations that sent in election monitors. Zambia, he said, has demonstrated that it is possible to have peaceful elections, and pledged that Zambia will actively participate in the affairs of the Union.
The late Zambian President meanwhile was honoured by his colleagues and other delegates by a one minute silence in his memory.
Outgoing Namibian President Mr HifikinyePohambawas given a chance to bid farewell to his colleagues at today’s opening ceremony of the Assembly.
New AU Chairperson Mr Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe meanwhile accepted his position by saying "By electing me to preside over this august body, with full knowledge of the onerous responsibility that lies ahead, I humbly accept your collective decision". He urged Africa to take charge of its destiny and pledged to work for Africa’s development particularly through infrastructure development. He then proceeded to launch the theme of the year, i.e. “Women’s Empowerment and Development towards Agenda 2063”.
The meeting of African Heads of State and Government will conclude on Saturday 31st January with the adoption of decisions and declarations to guide the work of the African Union this year.

El estado de Veracruz tiene sin lugar a dudas un sin fin de lugares históricos que marcan la cultura y tradiciones actuales que nos cobijan a lo largo del tiempo, dentro del municipio de Paso de Ovejas, La Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe , tiene sus orígenes en la incursión de jesuitas en el año 1572, en la hacienda de Acázonica, donde comercializaban con el ganado lanar que ellos introdujeron, trasladando sus rebaños de ovejas hasta el Camino Real o Paso de Atliyac, de ahí el nombre que hasta hoy conserva este lugar, pues le llamaban el Paso de las Ovejas o Lugar de las Ovejas.
Muy probablemente al parecer los padres jesuitas bajaban sus rebaños por un camino que cruzaba el río Atliyac hasta un pequeño templo quienes dieron el nombre de Nuestra Señora La Piedad, ahí se hospedaban mientras empacaban la lana que revisaban en la Casa de los Portales, que fungía como Oficina Administradora Española, para enviarla al Puerto de Veracruz para cargarlos a los barcos españoles, con el paso de los tiempos sería administrada por tres misioneros franciscanos.
Hacia el año de 1835 forma parte de la Parroquia de la Purísima concepción sede en Puente Nacional; pero el 12 de octubre de 1853 el Sr. Obispo Don Luciano Becerra y Jiménez da posesión al Sr. Cura Rafael Cabañas, quien se convierte de hecho en el primer párroco de este lugar, con el cual se inicia la construcción de la Iglesia de la Piedad (cuyas ruinas se encuentran adyacentes a este recinto). Pero dados los procesos de Reforma e invasión extranjera en nuestro país, el culto religioso público es afectado casi hasta anularlo temporalmente debido a la inestabilidad político – social en estos años.
a historia de su templo parroquial es historia de superación constante. Cuando el célebre Obispo Don Arcadio Pagaza viene a realizar su visita pastoral en febrero de 1897, ordena al Párroco Don Pascual Gutiérrez, que construya un templo digno de la feligresía que crecía en número y en fe. Terminará de construirlo Don Porfirio N. Flores, quien lo mostrara satisfecho al Sr. Pagaza en diciembre de 1903 y el 12 de para octubre de 1906 se terminará completamente con la construcción de la torre y la bendición de las campanas, mismas que están dedicadas la mayor a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe y la menor a San Miguel Arcángel.
Hacia el año de 1936 se inicia la reconstrucción del templo ya que por el paso del tiempo y el cierre de los cultos durante los años aciagos, contribuyen a que el templo se deteriore nuevamente. Vienen entonces, continuos esfuerzos de parte de los diferentes párrocos en orden a remozar y detener el deterioro del edificio, debido a las lluvias torrenciales del año de 1935 se cae el techo de teja destruyendo algunos objetos y muebles que se encontraban en el interior del templo.
El 5 de mayo de 1986 se iniciaron las labores de reconstrucción y ampliación con beneplácito del Obispo y de toda la comunidad. El día 5 de agosto de 1986 por decreto del Excmo. Don José Guadalupe Padilla Lozano Primer Obispo de Veracruz, es elevada a la dignidad de Santuario Diocesano. La imagen de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe que se venera en este Santuario. Existe algo muy digno de notarse en la historia de Paso de Ovejas; ha estado siempre bajo la protectora de la Santísima Virgen María. Cuando no tenía iglesia propia; sino que pertenecía a la Parroquia de Puente Nacional estaba bajo la protección de la Santísima virgen en su advocación de la Purísima Concepción. Cuando es ya Parroquia el templo esta dedicado a la Santísima Virgen de la Piedad; pero la parroquia se llamará de Santa María de Guadalupe, muy probablemente por la influencia de José Miguel Ramón Adaucto Fernández y Félix mejor conocido como Guadalupe Victoria Primer Presidente de México, pues una antigua tradición y versiones de los mismos pobladores dice que se acercaba a rendir culto a la Virgen, y en unos sus arribos a estos lugares en las diferentes defensas que realizó a la invasión extranjera o en sus persecuciones que sufrió, dono a este lugar su estandarte de la Virgen de Guadalupe, el cual es el que se alberga en este Santuario.
Desde entonces esta inmensa parroquia estará en el regazo de la “Madre del Verdadero Dios por quien se vive”, pues esta devoción a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe se constata, con las visitas constantes de los habitantes de esta parroquia y de parroquias vecinas.
Así lo indica la celebración tumultuosa de las fiestas en diciembre en las que, los diversos pueblos rivalizan en devoción y amor a la Virgen de María, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Esta celebración llega aun en día a celebrarse y es hoy precisamente cuando miles de feligreses a la Virgen de Guadalupe llegan al Santuario de Paso de Ovejas a rendirle tributo tal y como lo hicieron sus ante pasados.
Por otra parte cabe señalar que dichos datos fidedignos se encuentran dentro de los libros del Archivo Parroquial de Paso de Ovejas en donde se tiene acceso a los feligreses para que puedan saber los inicios y como se realizo lo que hoy es el Santuario Guadalupano.

S75 is the ammunition depot of the Bunker and
The S80 is the for machine room and room for crew.
The 38 cm SK C/34 naval gun was developed by Germany mid to late 1930s. It armed the Bismarck-class battleships and was planned as the armament of the O-class battlecruisers and the re-armed Scharnhorst-class battleships. Six twin-gun mountings were also sold to the Soviet Union and it was planned to use them on the Kronshtadt-class battlecruisers, however they were never delivered. Spare guns were used as coastal artillery in Denmark, Norway and France. One gun is currently on display at Møvig Fortress outside Kristiansand.
Ammunition
It used the standard German naval system of ammunition where the base charge was held in a metallic cartridge case and supplemented by another charge in a silk bag. Both cartridges were rammed together.

Shell
Four types of shells were used by the 38 cm SK C/34 although the Siegfried-Granate could only be used by the coast defense versions. Almost 40 percent lighter, this latter shell could be fired with a reduced charge at 920 metres per second (3,000 ft/s) out to 40 kilometres (44,000 yd). With a full charge it reached 1,050 metres per second (3,400 ft/s) and could travel 55.7 kilometres (60,900 yd) – over 34 miles.

The data given is according to Krupp datasheet 38 cm S.K.C/34 e WA52-453(e). This gun was mounted in pairs in the Drh.L. C/34e turret which allowed elevation from -5° 30' to +30°. Each gun had an individual cradle, spaced 3.5 metres (11 ft) apart, but they were normally coupled together. In general the turret was hydraulically powered, but the training gear, auxiliary elevation, auxiliary hoists and some loading gear was electrically powered. The turrets weighed 1,048 tonnes (1,031 long tons; 1,155 short tons) to 1,056 tonnes (1,039 long tons; 1,164 short tons), rested on ball bearings on a 8.75 metres (28.7 ft) diameter track, could elevate 6° per second and traverse 5.4° per second. The guns were loaded at +2.5° and used a telescoping chain-operated rammer. According to German manuals the required permanent capacity for the loading equipment for ammunition was 2.5 shells per minute. During testing period at the Baltic Sea the AVKS Report states an output of the ammunition delivery system up to 3.125 shells per minute. Under battle conditions Bismarck averaged roughly one round per minute in her battle with HMS Hood and Prince of Wales.
These guns were modified with a larger chamber for coast defense duties to handle the increased amount of propellant used for the special long-range Siegfried shells. Gander and Chamberlain quote a weight of 105.3 tonnes (103.6 long tons; 116.1 short tons) for these guns, presumably accounting for the extra volume of the enlarged chamber. An armored single mount, the Bettungsschiessgerüst ("Firing platform") C/39 was used by these guns. It had a maximum elevation of 60° and could traverse up to 360°, depending on the emplacement. The C/39 mount had two compartments; the upper housed the guns and their loading equipment, while the lower contained the ammunition hoists, their motors, and the elevation and traverse motors. The mount was fully powered and had an underground magazine. Normally these were placed in open concrete barbettes, relying on their armor, but Hitler thought that there was not enough protection for the guns of Battery Todt emplaced on Cap-Gris-Nez in the Pas de Calais near Wimereux and ordered a concrete casemate 3.5 m (11 ft) thick built over and around the mounts. This had the unfortunate effect of limiting their traverse to 120°. Other C/39 mounts were installed at the Hanstholm fortress in Denmark, and the Vara fortress in Kristiansand, Norway.
Four Drh LC/34 turrets, three of which were originally intended to re-arm the Gneisenau and one completed to the Soviet order, modified for land service, were planned to be emplaced at Paimpol, Brittany and on the Cap de la Hague on the Cotentin Peninsula, but construction never actually began. Construction for two of those turrets was well underway at Blaavand-Oksby, Denmark when the war ended.

The Regelbau (German for "standard design") were a series of standardised bunker designs built in large numbers by the Germans in the Siegfried Line (German: Westwall) and the Atlantic Wall as part of their defensive fortifications prior to and during the Second World War.

Tuyp 16 và 18 thì trái lại, nó xúc tiến tới 2/3 nếu ung thư cổ tử cung của người đàn bà và 1/3 liên hệ đến ung độc dương vật, ung độc quy đầu của nam giới. tuy nhiên, sùi mào gà còn gây ung thư vùng hầu họng, hậu môn trực tràng.

An Immaterial Survey of Our Peers presents installation images of an exhibit that never physically took place. Using digital compositing techniques, we have re-imagined the process of browsing through a Google Reader by adding art to images of the Sullivan Galleries’ empty walls. This presentational gesture of conflating scrolling with strolling is meant to question the ongoing tendency to believe material interaction with art is mandatory despite living in an age of utter dependency on the digital image as an informational source. Like the Argentinean Communication Media artists before us, we have cut out the middle-man (objects) and inserted the image as our final product, aware that the documentary media art receives plays the most pivotal role in defining its public discourse anyway. To expedite this process of media exposure, An Immaterial Survey is simultaneously being debuted online in addition to its projection in Chicago, confusing the boundaries of when and where the exhibit took place.
It is an intentional choice to offer no objects and no work of our own as our final display at SAIC. This is in part a tribute to the decentralized network of artists who comprise An Immaterial Survey. To present art online is an act of selflessness; the creator forfeits stringent control over their work’s meaning in favor of allowing the most generous opportunity for global viewership possible. For this we are thankful and indebted to the names that comprise our list of participants. We choose not to present sellable goods because we are fully aware of the irony of the BFA Exhibit itself; four years of a Feminist-Marxist education culminating in a grand celebration of luxury goods and the willful commodification of artist identity brands (best exemplified by the entire shelving units dedicated to freshly printed business cards). It is our intent to use this opportunity not for our own market assimilation, but for the praise of others and the criticism of art’s hierarchy of material value still present in our digital age.

It is unbelievable that we have completed our fifth week of camp. On Tuesday, everyone had the opportunity to join all the campers in the much awaited “Waterworld” activities. The day was filled with excitement as many of the children, climbed on the floats and drove their bumper cars. A terrific time was had by all.
This week’s theme was “Wild, Wild Willows.” To celebrate our theme the children created fabulous western photo frames to showcase their ability to ride their favorite pony Magic. In Ceramics the Tadpoles and Minnows had fun making their faces out of clay. Make sure to look on the website for all of our fabulous pictures. Everyone is having lots of fun!
Our wonderful week ended on Friday when the Willows danced and sang to a mix of pop songs at “Puttin’ on the Hits.” The children were adorable The excitement will continue over the next three weeks. On Tuesday July 31st, we are looking forward to watching “Puppets Pizzazz” In the sixth week we will be painting.

Samen met Truus en Irma op stap geweest naar het Boelekeerlspad om de boomkikker te zoeken.
Het pad is genoemd naar de 'boelekeerl', een boeman waarmee in vroeger tijden kinderen angst werd aangejaagd om ze op die manier bij putten, sloten en poelen vandaan te houden:
"De boelekeerl zit onder 't vlonder, doarumme meug i-j nooit dichte bi-j 't water of bi-j de kolk kommen."
En we hebben de boomkikker gevonden!
Dit kleine kikkertje kan een lengte van 3.5 tot 5 cm bereiken. Hij is groen gekleurd maar kan van kleur veranderen tot geel, olijfgroen of donkerbruin. De Boomkikker wijkt af van andere kikkers omdat hij zuignapjes aan de poten heeft. In tegenstelling tot de andere soorten heeft hij een kwaakblaas onder de kin in plaats van aan de zijkanten van de kop. Boomkikkers houden van zonbeschenen oevers met struikgewas en houtwallen. Ze overwinteren tussen boomwortels of tussen houtopslag etc. De Boomkikker komt niet voor in onze tuin.
De voortplanting vindt plaats in water met veel zon en onderwaterplanten. Larven van boomkikkers zijn teer en licht gekleurd.
De Boomkikker is op veel plaatsen verdwenen en is hierdoor een ernstig bedreigde soort die nog slechts voorkomt in westelijk Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Twente, de Achterhoek en sporadisch in Brabant en Limburg.

The European tree frog is a small frog that can grow to 4,5 cm in size at most. Historically, tree frogs were used as barometers because they respond to approaching rain by croaking. In the breeding season, even when migrating to their mating pools, they croak as well. Depending on subspecies, temperature, humidity, and the frog's 'mood', skin color ranges from bright to olive green, grey, brown and yellow. The head is rounded, the lip drops strongly, the pupil has the shape of a horizontal ellipse and the eardrum is clearly recognizable.
Males can be distinguished from females by their browny-yellowy, large (folded) vocal sacs in the throat region. The amplexus is axillary (in the armpits). Both adult males and females reach sizes up to 30-40 mm, rarily longer than 45 mm. The smooth, shining, usually leaf-green back and the white-yellowish to grey belly are separated by a dark stripe on its flank reaching from the nostrils, over the eye and the eardrum, to the groin, contrasting the green, and forming a dark spot near the hips. The hind legs are much larger and stronger than the fore legs, which enables to jump rapidly.

First day back at school, I didnt have a class till 2, so I decided to take pictures with my friend Jesse. We Went inside this what appears to be small church from the outside, but is actually really big on the inside. 事件起因是兩批不同政見的人,在太子站的列車上衝突,警方指有黑衣示威者更衣喬裝成市民,並且攻擊警察,警員用了相應武力應對,否認是「無差別打人」。
警方解釋,進入太子站拘捕人是源於收到報案,兩批人在太子站的列車上發生爭執。一人被掌摑,雙方推撞,一批穿黑衣、蒙面人在車廂外不斷人叫罵,車廂內有人試圖勸阻雙方,雙方互擲傘和雜物,有人一度掏出鎚仔,向著對方揮動,情況一度非常混亂,最終有人開滅火筒。
月台有名女子和黑衣人拉扯,有肢體衝突。有月台幕門穿了個孔。當警察去到現場時,警察指有大批示威者更衣喬裝成市民,增加警務人員拘捕暴力示威者的難度。
既然說示威者已更衣,警察如何分辨有沒有打錯人?畫面所見、有些人已經被制服,但繼續被噴胡椒噴劑,又是否合理?警方在太子站拘捕四十人,又是否包括這個掏出鎚仔的男子?
同一晚,多個港鐵站都有警察入站拘捕人,在油麻地站,一批防暴警察進入大堂,要求多人站在牆邊,搜查隨身物品,三名身穿「救護」反光衣的人要面壁站立。
在觀塘站,一批人破壞站內閉路電視,又向橋下的警員叫罵,警員入站追捕,將其中一人按在地上,一名自稱是義務救護員的男子被帶走。旺角站,有人破壞控制室,警員入站搜查及拘捕,在荔景港鐵站亦有警員進入站內

現場急救員欲進入油麻地地鐵站搶救傷患,他們表示早前有進入地鐵站,知道有4名傷者,並且有人血流不止,但其後,急救員隨即被防暴警察趕走。站內另有三個急救員,卻被迫「面壁」罰站。警方強制封站落閘阻止急救員進入。急救員在鐵閘外苦苦哀求,哭訴寧願自己挨打,也求警方讓他進入救人,令人動容。他還表示,市民並非想要憎恨警方,而他從小的志願是做警察,但今日警察的作法令他改觀,對他們感到失望。

今日民陣發起「七一遊行2019」,主題為「撤回惡法 林鄭下台」,下午1時許,維園已聚集遊行人士,有兩名譚詠麟(阿倫)的資深歌迷,將家中珍藏的阿倫黑膠碟全部帶來現場,丟在草地上用腳踩爛,現場還有幾位參與遊行人士,都加入齊踩阿倫的黑膠碟,有人還爆粗。
事緣昨日阿倫出席撐警集會,指不想涉足政治:「再咁落去,香港無得救。再搞落去無人管治到香港。」引起歌迷對其言行失望。
53歲黃先生表示約10歲便開始聽阿倫及溫拿的歌,今日帶了十多張黑膠碟到現場踩爛。問黃先生昨日見到阿倫為撐警站台及其言論有何感想?他直言感到愕然:「見佢咁好愕然,我以為見到阿叻(陳百祥)都唔會見到佢,反而阿叻無出現。我愕然完之後就覺得有冇搞錯?佢嘅名氣,甚至名利,都係土生土長香港人咁多年對佢支持得番嚟,喺而家咁關鍵嘅時候,我覺得佢係離棄咗香港人。」
問黃先生是否將家中的黑膠碟都拿出來?他表示:「係,搵到嘅都帶晒出嚟,有10幾張,溫拿都帶晒出嚟!」問他是否覺得可惜時,黃先生即語氣堅定說:「唔會,因為佢而家對我嚟講價值係零。」
至於阿倫昨日的表現,又是否令他覺得可惜?黃先生回應稱:「唔會覺可惜,每人取態可以唔同,自己都有自己選擇,我嘅選擇就係由噚日開始唔會再欣賞呢個人,所以唔希望佢嘅嘢喺我屋企出現。」
黃生續謂,自己是近兩年再參與7.1遊行,以前屬政治冷感,現在已退咗休,就用僅餘有用嘅身軀支持一下,「其實我對香港死心好耐,見到保皇黨喺議會,無需理公義,無需理市民聲音,打橫嚟,監粗嚟,之前好死心,但年青人咁樣行出嚟,如果唔企喺佢哋後面back up同支持佢哋,過唔到自己嗰關。」
另一位歌迷王先生珍藏了3、4張阿倫的黑膠碟,他踩爛後接受訪問:「以前有聽佢啲歌,近排都冇啦,聽咗都有幾十年。」問到點解咁不滿?他說:「佢撐警囉,對佢好唔滿意,印象轉變晒,做公眾人物,佢哋應該唔好出聲,出得嚟搵食賺人仔,就唔好出嚟講嘢,應該縮埋一邊唔好講嘢,暗地撐係你嘅事,唔好出嚟講,犯眾憎。」問以後還會聽阿倫的歌嗎?他說:「唔聽,碟都丟埋,一鋪清袋。」
港府硬推《逃犯條例》修訂二讀,觸發逾百萬人上街抗惡法,6.12警方暴力清場致市民兩度包圍政總,警民關係緊張。昨日建制派議員發起撐警集會,譚詠麟(阿倫)和鍾鎮濤(阿B)現身站台支持警察,阿倫指不想涉足政治:「再咁落去,香港無得救。再搞落去無人管治到香港。」而阿B則表示要講的是正義,希望子女能知道對錯,又斥現時年輕人「九唔搭八」,強調孝順父母及奉公守法是理所當然的事
