If you've been following me, you'll know that I love wings and I've been cooking them all different ways, mostly in my air fryer over the last few months.

This time I tossed them in a Spicy Honey BBQ sauce and dressed them with onions and sesame seeds. It was delicious!

Mama took a lesson from Tilda on this one, adding some home fries with cheese, drizzled with the juices from the chicken. It was terrific, but I still think Matilda's is better. Part of the explanation for that may be that Mama uses mature wild hens bought from a local market. They have a dark, somewhat chewy flavor. Matilda uses good ol' steroid-addled, fatty, chemically-altered, genetically-engineered American chicken. Vegeta, by the way, is a sort of all-purpose Eastern European spice. Think of it as a Lawry's Seasoning Salt kind of thing. It's loaded with MSG... and delicious.

Pineapple-shaped CNY goodies: People bought them for auspicious reason: Pineapple has a similar pronunciation as "wang lai" which means prosperity arrives or increases in Mandarin.

Boiled yellow carrots, tossed in chopped parsley and green onions. Taken from Vegetarian Cooking For Everyone. A last-minute addition because I forgot to buy spinach.

Lots of fresh basil and rosemary in here, among other spices and herbs. These are always a hit. These were potatoes that volunteered from last year's potato patch in the old yard in Paw Paw, dug 'em up before I moved. Lots of teeny-tiny ones!
