1st attempt, chicken tasted good. However, failed to come up with the ideal sauce for it. Gonna try it again!
if only I could make them like my granny did...they were always so light and fluffy and enormous in my younger days.
These resembled little rock cakes but at least they were edible with some butter and jam.

Week 3 of our new Keto diet showing how we are trying to get the balance right , two meals a day , first about noon to 1 pm last about 6-7 pm giving a period of approx 16 hours during which the body has a chance to utilise existing fats within the body. They call it intermittent fasting , we call it less cooking and dishes to wash and more time for important things :-)

aubergine, sweet potato, butternut squash, tomato sauce, fennel and chilly, from the other day's dinner, all served on slices of bread with bits of feta cheese and fresh parsley. yumminess.
It’s time! Once a year, when there are tender leaves on our backyard grape vines, I make dolmades (stuffed grape leaves). Stuffing includes rice, ground beef, onions, fennel, pine nuts, dill, parsley, and lemon zest. Simmered in broth, with a lemon egg wash near the end. It’s about three hours from vine to table.
