Industrial fasteners such as hexagon head set screws have different use in different fields. A number of companies can make hexagon head set screws depending on customers’ requirement.
I've been preparing it for the machine quilter to do her magic. Lots of trimming, staystitching, removal of papers. And finally - assembling the backing from four different pieces of fabric.
The quilt measures 235 cm across, and 240 cm from top to bottom. It's a monster!
I swapped fabric with Elena and was delighted with these gorgeous, bright fabrics that she sent! (This is a sampling of the fabric I received.) These prints are going to look great in the quilt. Thank you, Elena!
I made this 45 " x 45" hand pieced hexagon quilt about 5 years ago. Never thought to load up a photo until today. I cheated and used thick iron on pellon for each hexie. I still basted and put it together by hand though.
My first Crochet-Hexagons - they are still a little bit out of shape. I am not sure how to do it better next time :/ There are only patterns in my books, but no hints how to fix this.
A friend asked me to make necklaces for her and her daughters to wear to her wedding.
While shopping for beads together, she found the swirly green, gold and black glass lentil bead, and I worked with that as inspiration, with this as the happy result.
The body of the necklace is a chain made with larger green and black rondelle-shaped beads, gold spacers and black round beads. The beaded focal pieces are peyote-stitch hexagons (15/0 matte black seed beads) with green swarovski crystal beads (4 mm bicones, and 8 mm round) in the center. The larger hanging hexagon is actually two - a larger one on the bottom, with a smaller one the same size as the two flanking hexagons attached to the top..
I REALLY liked how this one came out. I plan on making another one for myself!

I added triangular twists on flaps at the center.
Now I need to keep this until Christmas.

Rather simple pattern, I've seen it many times, but have no picture of the real thing, so you need trust me.
Made with a slightly embossed wrapping paper, nice stuff.

My Hexagon quilt top is finally finished! So of course it had to debut it in my new sewing room :) Actually the floors were just finished and there isn't anything in there yet.
What's a lemonade coaster? It's like a regular coaster, but bigger for a pitcher of cold lemonade, dripping with lovely condensation!
I saw several of these hexagon shaped houses as we drove around the Ocean Shores area of Washington. This one is somewhat worse for wear; missing its decks and looks unoccupied. It does have a great view of the ocean, is a very short walk to the beach, and would make a great fixer-upper.
