July 2014 Scavenger Hunt -1. Let there be light
One of twelve images of salt cellars or spoons purchased during a trip to Cape Cod, Mystic CT, & Rhode Island, between October 18 & 25, 2013. October 26, 2013 marks the one year anniversary of my mother's passing. The first two salts I have were from her estate & I have collected, in a way, in memory of her & as a way of grieving through this year. I have acquired 72 salts, 19 salt spoons, & 7 glass & brass curio cabinets. I think that I will, now, consider my collection complete (unless I decide to acquire a few additional, to have one for each of Mom's 87 years of life. Stay tuned! Collecting salts has proven to be, somewhat, addictive!).
This salt is a fun combination of faceted hexagon & a textured base. It is one of seven salts I discovered at the Clinton Antique Center in Clinton, Connecticut. That place is a treasure trove--loads of interesting items at reasonable prices--well worth a visit!

What's a lemonade coaster? It's like a regular coaster, but bigger for a pitcher of cold lemonade, dripping with lovely condensation!

And now something completely different. Old fashioned yet vibrant in a very Today palette. I love doing them in odd moments. My life is odd moments. What else is there?
