the leaves and rose are cut from a home dec fabric sample. They are bonded to the hexagon then machine quilted with rayon thread with a layer of batting (excess trimmed away between leaves and rose) I embroidered around the leaves and rose mixing 2 shades of rayon thread. The quilting threads around the petals have been wrapped with a single strand of the rayon thread to make a fine solid line.
