Today we started pottery. The end of the school year is approaching quickly. It's usually the kids' favorite medium to work in....they all cheer when i announce that we are getting into clay.

So today this 4th grade class came in. There are 10 special education students mainstreamed in to this regular ed class. They do the same assignments/projects, but often struggle due to their abilities, emotional issues, etc.

When their teacher dropped them off, she made me aware of the fact that Mackayla has been having a bad day...very stubborn, oppositional, negative, etc. I don't know what Mackayla's full background involves, but I get a strong feeling it's not good.

We started making coil pots, and guess what? Mackayla was smiling. She suddenly had the most energetic and amazing outlook. She did have a little trouble attaching the coils to the base of the pot, so I came over to help her get it started. But before long, she had her's built and it was outstanding! You could just see the pride glowing in her. She didn't want to leave it at the end of class, even though I explained that it needed to dry, be fired, etc. I finally convinced her that it would be best for the wet coil pot to leave it and we would soon be able to glaze them and finally take them home.

Mackayla left my classroom with a huge grin.

Gotta love clay!

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Alright here comes a current update

so get out your no# 2 pencils and

pay real close attention.

Notice today there's two shot needles

in my hand. Why ? Good question and

here's your answer.

As many of you already know Rocky was

attacked by a crazed monkey and received

his first injection on the 2nd of August. Today

he receives his second injection.Little Stubby

has an ear infection so she gets her first shot

plus a bunch of medications to ease the pain

and combat any infection that has started.......

Rocky looks good as the swelling has receded

and the open puncture wound has started to dry.

His monkey bite has been aggressively addressed

with antibodies and will receive his next injection on

the 10th of August. And of course he has a bunch of

medication in the form of pills to take two times daily.

Now here's a very important part so keep taking notes !

A Big Thank You to everyone that helps out with donations.

It's through these funds that all the temple dogs are able

to have a better life out here in a very dangerous jungle.

Humanitarians OR Tormentarians? Why Aren't They Doing Their Job?

April 25th, 2023, marked the day 262nd of my 4th Hunger Strike outside the UNHCR office where Greece seeks to starve me to death and nobody provides Humanitarian Relief. My ultra-thin body is now barely able to sustain life.

Thus, in pursuit of my survival, I had again tried reaching out to the UNHCR office in person to demand support, answers and solutions. But food and support have been denied, answers are not given and solutions have not been offered.

Hence, in my discussions with the UNHCR assistant representative last Friday I was at the end left with no choice but to request a five-way meeting with them and the representatives from the Canadian, the U.S. and the Australian Embassies to find a solution.

But whether they arrange that or not remains to be seen.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Nuns are holding Rocky down while

the injection is readied.

Had a bad dream about the temple dogs

being in trouble. No# 1 called the nuns and

they said Rocky had been attacked by one or

more monkeys late yesterday. So, a note was

written for the dog doctor. I stopped by with the

cooler packed with ice and picked up the injection

and a bunch of medications in pill form.Shot needle

had to be kept in the ice which was no big deal 4 me.

This will be done three more times in the next ten days.

If anybody feels like helping out with donations please

do so. They are greatly needed and appreciated ....;-)

Last donations all went for the monthly medications.

Notice how this time the injured dog wasn't driven

to the dog doctors clinic. There was "no" vehicle

available so I had to improvise which worked

out quite well. Yesterday was a monsoon

downpour all day and all night !

Lets hope the next ten days will be semi-dry. Problem

is, weather man says big big rain storms are coming.

Up north and many provinces in Thailand are under

flash flood alert ! That includes right here as well .

LDN1355, the ’Helping Hand’ Nebula in Cassiopeia, together with neighbouring LDN1357 and LDN1358 are areas of dark nebulosity in he constellation of Cassiopeia. Below of the “palm” of the helping hand is a blue reflective nebula (VdB 9) which is illuminated by the star SU Cas. Towards middle bottom edge of the image there is another reflective nebula VdB 7 with a hint of red & blue, surrounding a variable star RZ Cas. However, RZ Cas is not the source of the illumination for VdB 7; rather it is illuminated by a much dimmer 11th mag star nearby.
