#Week 164 - very late, however, I saw this as a great opportunity to make this my challenge photo. Mike at work helping with the chores. Behind the gas hob is disastrous to try and clean with normal cleaners so we bought a steam clean mop with all the gadgets. Much better!

Today we started pottery. The end of the school year is approaching quickly. It's usually the kids' favorite medium to work in....they all cheer when i announce that we are getting into clay.

So today this 4th grade class came in. There are 10 special education students mainstreamed in to this regular ed class. They do the same assignments/projects, but often struggle due to their abilities, emotional issues, etc.

When their teacher dropped them off, she made me aware of the fact that Mackayla has been having a bad day...very stubborn, oppositional, negative, etc. I don't know what Mackayla's full background involves, but I get a strong feeling it's not good.

We started making coil pots, and guess what? Mackayla was smiling. She suddenly had the most energetic and amazing outlook. She did have a little trouble attaching the coils to the base of the pot, so I came over to help her get it started. But before long, she had her's built and it was outstanding! You could just see the pride glowing in her. She didn't want to leave it at the end of class, even though I explained that it needed to dry, be fired, etc. I finally convinced her that it would be best for the wet coil pot to leave it and we would soon be able to glaze them and finally take them home.

Mackayla left my classroom with a huge grin.

Gotta love clay!

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Nuns are holding Rocky down while

the injection is readied.

Had a bad dream about the temple dogs

being in trouble. No# 1 called the nuns and

they said Rocky had been attacked by one or

more monkeys late yesterday. So, a note was

written for the dog doctor. I stopped by with the

cooler packed with ice and picked up the injection

and a bunch of medications in pill form.Shot needle

had to be kept in the ice which was no big deal 4 me.

This will be done three more times in the next ten days.

If anybody feels like helping out with donations please

do so. They are greatly needed and appreciated ....;-)

Last donations all went for the monthly medications.

Notice how this time the injured dog wasn't driven

to the dog doctors clinic. There was "no" vehicle

available so I had to improvise which worked

out quite well. Yesterday was a monsoon

downpour all day and all night !

Lets hope the next ten days will be semi-dry. Problem

is, weather man says big big rain storms are coming.

Up north and many provinces in Thailand are under

flash flood alert ! That includes right here as well .

Week 20/52: Nacho always likes to lend a helping hand and when he saw this poor woman with a flat tire on the side of the road he of course had to help her. The lady unfortunately didn't have a spare tire or a jack. But that wasn't a problem for Nacho he got the tire off and lent the lady his car and told her to go to the nearest gas station and get her tire fixed and come back. He just had to quickly make a call to say he will be a bit late.
