A self portrait of how I feel lately. I figure I'd take a stab at making self portraits every day. I think of it as a visual representation of a journal entry. 1/365.
“Pretence about anything sometimes deceives the wisest and shrewdest man, but, however cunningly it is hidden, a child of the meanest capacity feels it and is respelled by it.”
.
Mr Little Larry The Pipsqueak ---
As you can see, he is very skinny, dehydrated,
covered with tics with some scars from primates.
Little Larry is also quite sick due to the tics
and lack of any quality food and water.
He is also full of belly worms, and,
all of these problems are now
being addressed, asap.
September 2019 ---
If my memory serves me right he was soon
after this given a bath and taken to the vet.
This is September 2019 and by December
2020 he was spayed and living with us.
The rest is history ;-)---
Now your asking why no new photos of
the dogs racing around in the m/c field ?
Well here's why ---
We're having some problems around the
homefront that need immediate attention.
Mostly the same same but different kind
of problems like mud, monsoons, snakes,
broken water lines, computer issues, just
to name off a few. No big deal, in due time
everything will sort itself out and it will be
back to business as usual. This is just how
things flow in the tropics. Would like to go
see the nuns and all the temple dogs but
just not yet. Blondie and Molly are fine ;-)
And don't forget this is Ninas dog.
She supports him from another
country far away from here.
Big thank you for Nina.
Thank You.

In Greece they have mercilessly forced me into a perpetual state of deprivation since 2020. Although I rely on online donations to survive, the support I have received so far hasn’t been enough to provide proper nutrition and prevent possible starvation.
Both sides of my big placard are now filled with marks indicating the number of days I have been forced to starve outside the UNHCR office since after the placement of my sixth shelter in front of their office on August 31st, 2021. There is no help available to me in Greece, be it from the purported Humanitarian and Human Rights Organizations in the country or the civil society.
Years of forced starvation in Greece have been taking a toll on my health and body every day. Despite being 37-years-old, currently, I weigh less than 30 kilos. The pictures captured on June 09th, 2023, depicting my emaciated body, are truly terrifying.

Abused & Abandoned Street Dogs.
Not sure when I left home but I
arrived at The Dog Palace at
6AM straight up. Mama was
the only one to arrive ? ;-0~
Unloaded the scooter then
loaded The Tube full of
a bunch of goodies.
At that point it was time
for Mama and I to go.
When crossing The Broken Concrete Bridge
Rocky came flying past clipping my legs.
Mickey was going bananas as he too
showed up on the bridge. Rocky
was quick to return to the
crazy nuns place where
two young blonds
are both in heat.
Using hand language and broken Thai/English
the nuns confirmed that Rocky is in love ;-)~~~
So it was only Mama & Mickey that went down
to The Spirit House for hot-dogs and kibble.
When we returned to the nuns place still no
Mr Rocky as the two young blonds have
his full an undivided attention. So now
I'm at The Hooligans and what do I
see but DJ full of maybe 10 holes,
patches of missing fur an divots.
He was soon covered in the
special medication used
on Mr Ed for his divots.
Apparently Rocky isn't sharing ;-)
After my field bath in the dogs water bucket
I circled back around to The Dog Palace and
fed Molly & Crew up on the roof, shown here.
By 9AM I was back on the road going
in a westerly direction towards home.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
As mentioned a couple days ago .
Angel Eyes has been brutally attacked
by an aggressive crazed primate. I'm
doing what I can with what we have...;-(
Now for the title "Porn Spam !" ................
As many here on flickr have reported
their sites have been inundated with
porn spam. Why did this start just when
flickr was teaming up with smug-mug is
any-ones guess ?
So, my site was also hit with 100's and
100's of porn spam fav's. As a result, I
can't find many of your comments due to
the overwhelming amount of spam fav's.
Y'all know I go to great effort to answer all
your comments. If I've recently missed your
comment it's due to the spam !
If this photo is to graphic for you, get over it !
This is what I deal with day in an day out here.
The gash goes all the way through Angel Eyes
muzzle and lip. Extremely painful for her.
Your donations will help considerably .;-)
Thank You.

“IN MEMORY OF PETE CONRAD, THE GREATEST ASTRONAUT EVER TO PUT ON A SPACESUIT –
ALAN BEAN
APOLLO 12”
What a crew. Genuine love, friendship & camaraderie amongst the three.
RIP Heroes.
THANK YOU.
11.1875” x 15.5” print on a black 12” x 16” mounting board. The print appears to be of a poster-like paper. Signed & inscribed in gold ink pen by Bean. The mounting board is just a bit larger than my “large” flatbed scanner, hence the cutoff of the image. In excellent condition.
Additionally:
“I remembered during our landing at the Ocean of Storms on Apollo 12 Pete Conrad and I had hundreds of specific tasks to perform, some individually, some with each other and some with mission control on Earth. We had switches to throw, voice transmissions to make and receive, computers to operate, instruments to monitor and buttons to push. It was like a concert where each musician has to play the right note at the appointed time. Sometimes it wasn't easy because of the incredible view. I found when I looked out the window and saw just where we were and what we were doing, I would become distracted and start to lose a beat or two. I had to keep telling myself to look inside and tend to business.
This painting is a favorite remembrance of Pete and me working together. I had just finished pounding a hollow core tube a foot or so down into the lunar soil with my hammer. When I pulled the core tube back out, it contained a continuous sample of surface and subsurface soil.
I have painted Pete holding the tool extension handle with the full core tube attached while I unscrew the sharp edged bit and replace it with a cap. I then removed the core tube from the tool extension and put it in the sample bag on my left hip.
When we finished the photography and voice reports associated with documenting this sample, I noticed I still had the bit in my hand so I stuck it in my pocket. I carried it back to Earth and it rests on the mantel in my studio today.”

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Mama saying thank you for all your help.
You have saved my life along with all
the other abandoned temple dogs.
This is a very tough jungle environment
where only the strong survive. Your
help has given not only myself
but also all my friends a
much better life.
Thank You ;-)
Mama.

Tomorrow morning I'll be heading to
The Monkey Temple with the usual
monthly medications for all the dogs.
The last few days it has been raining
non-stop as the monsoons make their
presence known. Hope there's a break
in the down-pour for tomorrows run ! ! !
I too say Thank You for all your help in
easing the pain an suffering these dogs
have experienced daily from abuse and
from being abandoned in a brutal jungle.
Through your donations these dogs have a
better chance at overcoming the pain/agony.
Sometimes a local expat will ask if I'm still going
out into the jungle to feed the abandoned dogs.
They complain about the on-going dangers and
filthy conditions the monkeys create out there !
My reply never wavers, "Yes, why wouldn't I ?"
Thank you for your comments and donations.

Abused & Abandoned Street Dogs.
Mr Rocky being real silly ;-)~~~
Alright here's the story behind this photo.
This is a resting spot on the east side of
The DMZ. The Broken Concrete Bridge
is a stones throw from where we're at.
Mama is laying just behind us while
keeping a close eye on her son ;-)
I'm sitting at a concrete/tile table
minding my own business when
Mr Rocky jumps up on the table
an starts messing with my mind.
Pushed his big head into my chest
and starts talking thinking he's funny.
The more I resisted the more he pushed.
His goal was to push me off the bench ;-0~
This type of activity goes on all
the time out here in the jungle.
Tomorrow 4 injections will be picked
up at the dog clinic. 2 for Blondie
and two more for Mr Little Larry.
They will be packed in ice and carried
in a cooler strapped to the scooter.
Also lots of food will be packed
just for Molly & Crew. The dog
clinic opens at 9AM so it will
be after 10AM when I arrive
at The Dog Palace ..........

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Pumpkin is feeling a little better after
sleeping for two days and two nights.
She's still in a lot of pain and discomfort
but over time that will dissipate.Point is
she is alive. As the doctor said she was
at deaths door upon her arrival at the
dog clinic. This is one lucky dog ...;-)~
Tomorrow she goes back to the dog clinic.
Hopefully I'll be back out at the monkey temple
handing out monthly medications on Thursday
unless Pumpkin has to see the dog doctor on
that day. If so then I'll be at the monkey temple
on Friday. We'll just play this one by ear.
There's no same same this time !

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Oct-3rd, New Nun holding Mama upright.
Photo was taken before leaving for the dog clinic.
Took a few hours longer today due to a mechanical
breakdown. Luckily it happened right in front of the
clinic so Mama was allowed to stay there while I took
a "long walk" trying to find certain scooter parts.
Had all the tools needed under the seat just needed
a couple parts which I found 2 kilometers down the road.
A worker at the motorcycle shop gave me a ride back to
my scooter/sidecar. Mama was laying in the same spot she
was left in, no problem. Plus they kind of kept an eye on her.
Mamas still in a considerable amount of pain and discomfort !
Tomorrow, Wednesday, the clinic is closed so I get to do a lot
of catch-up around the house. No# 1 will be in contact with the
nuns so Mama has 6 gentle hands caring for her, plus Rocky..;-)
I'll address your comments tomorrow afternoon after everything
has been finished around here, lots and lots of stuff to do ............
Thank You.

Abused & Abandoned Street Dogs.
37 minutes till 5:AM and I'm already
on the road heading in an easterly
direction. A bit chilly but not bad.
I arrived so early Mama & Rocky
didn't even know I was there.
Once The Tube was loaded
with all the food for all the
temple animals I took off
through The DMZ and
ran into both dogs.
Needless to say there was huge big
unbridled enthusiasm taking place.
Crossed the broken concrete walk-
ing bridge an picked up Baby Mickey.
By the time coffee an tea were handed off
to the nuns it was still to dark in the jungle
for good photography to take place. Now
remember this is a triple canopy jungle so
light is quite often elusive at best. Some-
times it works and often times it doesn't.
Here's some good news 4 you.
Very few monkeys today ;-)
Now that is good news.
Maybe they could read my mind.
And what was on my mind U ask ?
Well, I want a drone with the ability
to fire oversize paint-balls at the apes.
Laser guided, heat-seeking paint-balls.
Oh I can see it now, youtube would love it.
Maybe a big corporate sponsor would help.
Triple canopy terrorists would be eliminated in
no time at all. Ryan Kaji could review the results.
I need to contact Greg Gutfeld
and setup an appointment
with Tyrus and Kat Timpf.
But first, a nap ;-)--------

This is Tenashi, he‘s a 14 year old kid living on the streets of Gweru in Zimbabwe. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, volunteers from Antelope Park go to the so called Drop-in-Centre, where street kids can come and have lunch, play games or have english and math lessons. I have been privileged to have spent some time with him and the other street kids.

Abused, Abandoned, Jungle Dogs.
Miss Molly is a real sweetheart ;-)
Ride out to The Monkey Temple
was dry and relatively uneventful.
All temple dogs were cared for.
Mr No Name and Little Lisa
were missing .....;-(
Mr Gibbon was waiting for me
inside of his cage.He was fed.
Here's another story for you.
Over by The Spirit Cave there's
a man built pool, not very large.
Couple months ago there was
2 dozen guppies or less. Now
there's about 2 thousand or less.
I've always thrown a couple hand-
fulls of kibble in the pond.As the
kibble bobs around mi-neut pieces
fall off and the colorful guppies eat
every bit until everything is consumed.
And here's one more story about the nuns.
I've always wanted to share the photos that
y'all see here on flickr with them. So here's
what I did to solve that problem. My friend
Mr SideCar Man set up a color printer and
by using A4 paper the project was started
yesterday. Why use A4 paper you ask ?
Because this is just the pilot portion of this
project and the cost factor had to be
calculated into the budget.
Each A4 sheet held two 5x7 photos, and 36
photos were copied. The Nuns went crazy
with happiness.Huge Big Time Happy ;-)~
Ladies & Gentlemen, this was very exciting
to see the nuns jabbering away like two
young teenage girls swooning over
a heartthrob movie actor..;-)
Obviously it will be happening again real soon.
Over time a few will be selected as keepers
and be reprinted on glossy A4 photo paper.
I just couldn't believe how excited they were.
This makes me feel good about all that has
gone into forming these friendships. . .;-)

It's not so easy loving me
It gets so complicated
All the things you gotta be
Everything's changing
But you're the truth
I'm amazed by all your patience
Everything I put you through
When I'm about to fall
Somehow you're always waiting with
Your open arms to catch me
You're gonna save me from myself
From myself, yes
You're gonna save me from myself
- Christina Aguilera
www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYxmS4UNrWY
Let's see...yesterday's song got to Pimp, but not to Tara. Let's see how we do with today's choice of Christina Aguilera. When she first came on the scene way back in the day with Genie in a Bottle, I was skeptical. She seemed like a snotty brat and I just didn't care for her attitude. However, with very little time, I grew absolutely obsessed with her voice. Seriously. For all the Christina-haters out there, I challenge you to find something wrong with her voice. She is amazing. One of my all-time favorite female voices. And I don't care if the whole world hates her, I adore her. I'm sure Tara is losing faith in me right now. :)
So today's song is Save Me From Myself. It's soft and slow and lovely and so true. Andy has saved me from myself more than once, and continues to do so on a daily basis. We both do that for each other. Which, if you ask me, is a really great foundation for a relationship. We help to lift each other's burdens and we step in and act as the voice of reason for each other in our darker moments. We rely on each other. And I love that.
In other news, I had a couple of really great phone conversations today that may just lead to a job in the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed. Stay tuned!

A Similar attempt on a Ground Beetle entitled
'Ground Beetle - Abax parallelepipedus on a Rainbow' which you can view here - www.flickr.com/photos/sequentialmacro/6920965687/in/set-7...
In this photo i used my CD/Blue Ray drive as the Stacking device, manually moving it back and forth to get the pictures i needed for the stack. It took me 60 - 70 images to get this amount of detail and focus, but it could have been better with more time.
Light has always been a problem with Beetles but i did manage to over come this by decreasing the Light intensity to 1/16th and then counteracting this by decreasing shutter speed, thus letting more light in enabling more detail in the final outcome.
Using my 'Helping Hands', which arrived last week, i placed them onto the cd drive which help the Beetle in place infront of the objective (4x + Bellows ) This allowed me access to move the motor backwards using my remote to take a photo each time without touching the camera body to by pass any blur for the slow shutter speed.
If you wish to view on black click the photo, have a great week and keep busy guys, cheers !
