I figured that, since fireworks is moving anyways, it should be possible to take long exposures of it without using a tripod. Camera set to ISO 100, f/11, bulb exposure.

I am working on my own Big Year of Birding project. My goal is to photograph as many different species of birds as I can during this year. The longest lens that I have right now is my 70-200mm, so it has become my main birding lens; the length of my lens adds to the challenge, but I am very pleased with how well the lens is performing for me.
