I photograph what nature gives. This series in my photostream started when I noticed this bird starting a dive. Needless to say i was not fully prepared: the speed was off as I transitioned from sky to dark mangrove while I was trying to capture this Osprey fishing. The sensor was slow to adjust, creating this blurry image. Nonetheless, I am happy with the final results.

This was her first day spent on her own in my garden, unless you count me as company. Getting quite friendly and allows my to be fairly close provided I don't move quickly. Sitting down on a concrete slab I steadied my camera and 70 - 400mm lens on my legs, chose ISO 3200, in order to obtain a sufficiently fast shutter speed, and pressed the shutter. Bingo !
The falls area at Millhollow Creek are fabulous. I would love to go back when the water is up and running at full force.
This is the area that the Krueger family uses as their "escape". There is a rope swing and depressions in the rock that create what they affectionately call "hot tubs".

I figured that, since fireworks is moving anyways, it should be possible to take long exposures of it without using a tripod. Camera set to ISO 100, f/11, bulb exposure.
Rusty, sun drenched back a green box. Southglade Park, handheld HDR.
This shot is playing merry hell with my eyes.
