Fort Stevens is a World War 2 military defense fort built to defend the west coast of the United States in the case of an attack by Japanese ships or aircraft. It is a large complex. One of many up and down the west coast....none were ever used in defense.

This is the result of the combination in GIMP of three photos shot at different exposure levels - handheld, mind you.
There's a distinct blue tint in the lamp's neck, but it's present in the overexposed original too.
As you can see, the originals were slightly out of phase, but again; it was shot without a tripod.
Temperature in the mid 30s and rising. This bug has been perching here for an hour and obviously doesn’t plan to fly off until it gets cooler.

I was at work on Saturday and we had mongo delays getting started so I took a break and went to a local cemetary and took these.
This was a Virgin Mary statue next to a tombstone. I just thought the warm light of sunrise looked very nice.
