In the not too distant past, our rabbits and I made a few little critters to drum up a little dough to pay for their pet cat’s mounting medical bills. Probably because we channeled a whole bunch of positive energy into them, they feel pretty good to look at.
Then I realized they feel pretty good to hold, too. Their asymmetrical shape is a bit anatomical—they seem to fall right into the crook of the hand. I soon noticed that my hands, when idle, went straight for one. Familiar like a well-worn blanket or other childhood treasure, they’re quite cuddly. Best of all, they don’t snore.
As usual, these little sweeties contain the standard materials: recycled wool, cotton, and buttons and hypo-allergenic poly-Dacron fiber fill. Healthy for both people and the environment we live in, they’re lovely gifts for anyone who needs a little comfort every now and then.

Fighting with street lights this morning starting at 3.46am, these shots were handheld. I was blessed with lovely weather and able to stand outside for the first time since the lockdown in my shirtsleeves.
this was a pretty ugly loo in a dark place, bronica, exposure at a couple of seconds don't know anymore. considered it's handheld i am quite pleased with it.
Rain outside so I made a simple spirograph from some pc fan's, mirror's and a red laser pointer. Great fun playing with it, but now I want to build something better, cant get enough of the laserrr light...

Two shots taken handheld (which is VERY unusual for me). I was out fishing and the light was fairly nice, so i just had to shoot a few shots. Think these two turned out great. Polarizer on both images.
Purple Herons feed mainly on fish, but will also eat insects, amphibians, and occasionally shellfish, small mammals, reptiles and even small birds.
Purple Herons are shy and solitary hunters, and appear to hunt mostly at night continuing into the early morning. They don't often wade in deep water and prefer to stand-and-wait in cover, staying motionless for long periods in shallow water or perched on low dense trees and bushes. Their slim bills are large and strong enough to kill even large snakes. Their long necks give them a long and powerful reach.

Main features: Tall (90-97cm). Plumage purplish-brown; long black crest; neck snakelike, white or cream with black line down the sides; bill yellow; legs and toes orange-yellow.
Breast plumes pendulous in breeding adults. Genders look alike.
Juvenile: Dull brown plumage; lacks crest, breast plumes and black markings; streaked neck and underparts.
Call: Described as a loud resonant croak kranck; a staccato kar-kar-kar at the nest or when taking off.
In flight: Blackish flight feathers, little contrast with dark grey-brown wings and back.
Status in Singapore: Common resident and winter visitor throughout the island, as well as North and South offshore islands.
World distribution: Throughout the Old World in the tropical and warm temperate zones. Not found in Australia.
Classification: Family Ardeidae. World 65 species, Singapore 17 species.
One reason for their shyness could be because Grey Herons (Ardea cinera) often steal the Purple Herons' catch when they are hunting close to each other. Purple Herons become even more shy during breeding season, preferring to hunt near cover. Purple Herons defend their feeding territory from each other by aggressively puffing out neck feathers and raising crests.
