Saw something similar to this online and thought I should give it a try. I took easily 250+ pictures, and ended up using this one which was one of my first!
Shot with a Canon Rebel XTi and a Canon EF-S 18-55mm lens
So while PG was pinching my tripod to get some shots of the Christmas Shop (La Boutique de Noël if you prefer), and acknowledging that me trying to get half-decent night shots hand-held wasn't really happening (what with me being Mr. Shakey Hands Man and all that), I decided that arsing about was my best bet until I got my faithfull Giottos back.
So, I pointed my D90 at a semi-circular window lit up in blue on the opposite side of the street, pressed the shutter release, and proceeded to wave my camera around in the air for the next 30 seconds like a looney.
I quite like what I got :)
My third handheld panorama. Still don't quite have the hang of it yet, the same gaps were in this image as the other two. The main problem seems to be with my zenith and nadir shots.

We spent two nights at Siberia Hut and the plan was to visit Crucible Lake. However, because of the rain and rising rivers, were were hut bound during the morning. But by lunch time the rain had stopped and it was fining up. The fittest of our group decided to go to Crucible Lake and most made it. Unfortunately I didn't go as I was worried about my fitness level and the high river crossings.
I walked to the nearby waterfall which was raging after the rain.
