Three new pillows in my living room apartment. First two, a contemporary take on Mayan designs. The third one a traditional design from the Nebaj region, on the Quiche highlands of Guatemala, with hand embroidered zoomorphic figures. All done by indigenous women from Guatemala.
Reworked this handy image. Or from The Addams Family (thanks Brenda!)... Thing or Things! Dub-e-didum - Click! Click!
This little phrase seemed appropriate on January 1, 2011. I had intentions of doing a sketch, hand lettering or some sort of scrawled idea every day in this little book. That notion came off the rails pretty quickly.
For my A level photography project I've been looking at the work of Mona Kuhn and trying to emulate her style. These pictures were taken with a 35mm f/1.8 lens, which quite frankly make my life better :)
Surreal hand-eye combination, shot with Nikon D90 and composed/created in Gimp. I included a saying I came up with years ago, simply because it fit. "Artists aren't crazy... We're eccentric!" This is not a final image, as I am not quite happy with it yet. It will get better before I am done.
these hands hardly ever rest. My son's favourite hobby is to create the most phantastic vehicles with his Lego bricks.

Not the best shot but the only one I got. I have so much to say about this shot, but I am in between jobs. Have to go....will ad more tommorrow.

Oops. I totally missed a picture - this one actually taken on the 3rd... It's a bit of a cheat, but it will have to do... cause I'm not dropping out. Oh no. I'll be catching up on uploads as soon as possible; life happened, and though I'm still taking my pictures, I just had no time to spend on the computer. I also have quite a creative blockage where I'm just not satisfied with what I got... and I'll work it out.
More to come.
