My grandmother's beautiful hands

I met these hands and their owner recently in Salcombe. Two men were down on the beach in the late evening light working hard with shovels and buckets to find worms to use as bait when fishing. After a short chat I asked if they would mind me taking their photos.

Today I was trying something new. I bought two white styrofoam slabs and place them behind me (tried to do it in 45°). The speedlite should reflect from these slabs to minimize the shadows.

My lil sister was playing with her &' the next thing i know her hand completely broke off -.- , she said it was an accident &' said she tried to pose her &' then it broke so yeah . Mite get an obitsu or fix it myself

I chose this photo as one of my free choice photos because I like the simlicity of it and also the black and whie coloring. I used simplicity and a little bit of leading lines in this photo with the leading lines being the chord hanging down from the hands. In the process of taking this photo I had to find a spot with good side lighting because I did not want there to be shadows in the background. In this photo I had to crop out the extra space because I could not move the tripod closer to the wall and still get all of the hands inside of the photo.
