I loved my mother's hands. She was a nurse and also a quilter and a lot of good came from her hands.
When she passed I went to the funeral home before the funeral to say my goodbyes in private. I held her hands one last time. They were the same, but different. I did not want to let them go.
I still miss them.
My hands look a bit like hers. The same, but different. My hands on the sewing machine remind me of my mom. It's good.

After yesterday's attempt at sunset shots got clouded out, it was a pleasent surprise to look outside and see these finger-like clouds lit up by the distant palm of the Sun.

This is carved on linoleum. I think I didn't wait long enough for the background to dry and then some of the paper pulled up. But, I like that look. I inked this up and then ran it through my Big Shot as a press.
