My daughter put this bead in her ear Sunday night. Fortunately, we were able

to get it out on our own before an ER trip was required. (In case your kiddo

ever does this: turn your kiddo on her side so the affected ear is facing

the floor and then move the ear around - the pulling at the ear changes the

shape and kinda nudges the "foreign body" out).

We have a physician's assistant who came over last night ready to pull the

bead out - fortunately, we got it out right before he arrived. I baked him

cookies anyway as a goodwill gesture - god only knows when she'll do

something like this again.

Hi, new to the group. My dear wife loves to bake for people and around the holidays, she makes it special for the kidos. Lots of love flow from those hands to the treats which unfortunately flow to my gut....

WIT: My wife had no intentions of modeling her hand for the shot so she just kept on working. I wanted to focus on her hand using Macro to get the right emphasis while having enough of a subtle background (DOF) so that one can tell what the hand was doing without distracting from the hand. This was freehand, so had many out of focus shots. Luckily, got the shot I wanted while she was icing the last cookie on the sheet.

Hands of 2 friends at Peppers Restaurant which is located at 1527 17th Street in NW WDC. Taken on 22 May 1996 when I was living at 1500 Massachusetts Avenue Peppers was one of my favorite places to eat. At that time two of my favorite items from the menu were their cajun meat loaf and garlic mashed potatoes.

During that time i'd take many pictures of the hands of friends at Peppers or Trios on 17th Street.

We had a run on birds that needed help this year. This one stunned herself on my sidewalk right in front of me. So I picked her up and handed her to my husband,While ran for the camera. When I came back I took a couple shots. Then my husband tried to put her in a tree and she would not leave him. She climbed on his shoulder and perched in his hand. Finally he got her to go into a near by bush. After I got a couple of these kinds of pics.

Found some old photos from years ago, thought I would share.

My hands are small, I know

But they're not yours, they are my own

But they're not yours, they are my own

And I am never broken
