The hands of Robin Chandler. This man is the most amazing blues/slide guitarist I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. I'm sure he was at the same crossroads as Robert Johnson!
This picture was taken a while ago on one of my trips to Ecuador. We were working and helping out a new church in a small, undeveloped, rural village at the edge of the Amazon jungle. It was amazing. Oh, and two of those white hands are mine :)

Hand painted wine glasses, martini glasses, champagne flutes and margarita glasses, you can find glassware in many different shapes, sizes and designs. Glassware today is not something that typically stands out.
Today was fun.
Despite a dreaded 4 hours of lectures in a row with a 9am start and an assessed hand in thing from 12-1 it was alright. I then realised that a month has gone and I promised myself change in myself, studies and other. Honestly, in the past month little has changed, well some awkwardness and making quite a lot of new friends seems to be it. Same ol' same ol. Whatever that really means.
After todays morning hell of lectures was a chance to chill out photographing the netball club. This photo is more of a blooper (I have much worse... MUCH) but I refuse to put them up. I have some good ones too, not all mug shots... sport is quite difficult to shoot, focusing wasn't so much the issue just actually having an exciting part where people are facing the right way or not away from you was difficult, but hey was a great time. And to CHILL out is a big understatement.... it was bloody freezing!
And thanks to Chi who came with me and ventured onto the uni bus for the first time hahah :P

This '61 Beetle was unique, not just because of its year and its two-tone color scheme. Look closely, and you'll see that the steering wheel is on the right-hand side. There's a simple explanation for this. The owner is a Brit, and when he moved to America he took his prize '61 Bug with him.
I had to bend over backwards to get this picture because it was so crowded around this Bug. I took it with a disposable camera and had a CD made, like with all of my pictures. But when the lab scanned the photo for disc, it was cropped. Thus the right-hand-side steering wheel appears in full view on the 4x6 glossy print, while it's somewhat cut off here. Sorry I couldn't do better. But it's still an interesting specimen of VW for people used to left-hand-drive (i.e., most of us) to appreciate.
Took this yesterday, but it was only when I got it up on my PC that I realised it looks like a hand. I have no idea what tree it is though.

*Reflections make things shiny, but if you're reflecting it right into the lens, you can't see shit for the light.

This was a gift for my Mum, made in 1990 - it was a one-off and it is still a favourite piece of mine. The silver hand is made from a recycled drink can.

A lot of my pictures from May of last year (which is where I'm currently caught up to) were taken in the middle of my RT and subway fascination...as well as pics of the city in general. As much as I had fun going around and getting pictures of these things, I'm not really feeling them right now...so I'm having to browse through more recent pictures in order to mix it up, rather than post like 5 consecutive pictures of the RT or subway.
I know some of you guys like my TTC-related pics, and I still have dozens of them to post...but I feel the need to post a bokeh'd pic like this one in between my longer-distance, shallow-DOF city scenes.

Today the zoo made the decision to remove the elephants, over a period of time. I'm not sure what to think of this, but I think a lot of zoos are phasing out elephants in light of research into their well-being...that's my understanding of it, anyway.
