Today's FGR was looking for images featuring black, yellow, and white. I fiddled around with a few things, but thought you might find this most interesting.

I passed by a booth at the Republic of Texas Rally pushing these things. These were more than just bike-riding attorneys. On the reverse side is a ID number. In case this key is found, you can drop it in the mail and it will get back to me.

But wait, there's more!

These keys also serve the purpose of identifying bloody remains of bikers in accidents. Sometimes, all that remains in a bike accident is this key tag. In that case, the police can use the ID number to get a lead on whose remains they've found. The company sombering told me that they do that service about once a year.

I don't really fear death; there's a better place waiting for me. I do worry about Jamie being left without knowing what happened to me. I'd rather that she know I was something in a closed casket than never get a sense of closure.

So, I keep this on my bike all the time. Just in case.

this is as good as it gets today - I have been sick, felt really weird today - my entire head was numb and tingly and I was super dizzy ... then this afternoon I had a seizure on the playground at recess (my poor parapros!)

I had to miss the school dance tonight, which sucks because that means my students had to miss it too ... and this was the easiest costume in my costume drawer for me to put on and snap a fugger picture before crawling into the bed

Today, along with the rest of the group and Flickr Group Roulette, I would like to Thank Chris Maverick for starting a group that has changed my life along with thousands of others. when I joined Flicker in December of 07 I had not seriously picked up the camera in years, I felt like part of me had died and the sad thing is I didn’t even know it. I browsed around flickr and eventually started an account due to a very inspirational photographer named Ces, looking at her own 365 Journey got me thinking about what it would be like to do one of my own, as soon as my wife heard about it she encouraged the idea and with her support I took the plunge on new years day 2008. since then I have rediscovered something amazing, and I cant put it into words but it is...a spark a joy.. something I remember feeling in high school when I first fell in love with the camera. at fist I saw it as a choir, this project, because I very much did not like how I looked on camera and I began to wonder if I made a mistake. Now, almost 6 months and about half way there I pick up my camera and my first thought is not discomfort, it is wonder as to what I should do for today's shot, I look forward to picking up the camera and getting in that habit has opened me back to what I loved about photography in the first place, that joy of capturing moments and putting my own flavor on them. thank you Chris for starting this phenomenon, thank you Ces for unintentionally inspiring me and thank you each and every one of my friends that come back day after day to support me in this journey.

This shot is my humble take on Chris's 28th day of his first year with 365.

For Flickr Roulette

Last year I had the opportunity of a lifetime, and I really let myself down. Even though I know I should learn from the experience, pick up, and keep moving forward- I'm finding it difficult to move past it. I'm uncomfortable talking about it.

To be less regretface:

- I talk to myself often

- Often refer to myself as 'we'

- Think veganism is one of the only areas I have discipline in

- Spend a lot of time alone

- Love the fall and often think about moving farther North

- Keep secrets very well

- I don't drink alcohol. At all.

- Can be pretty darn shy

- Could never survive in an area that was either landlocked, or didn't have seasonal weather (technically I could- but wouldn't want to)

- It's my dream (one of them, at least) to own & run a vegan bakery (Perhaps with a friend)

- Often shirk attention, even if I sometimes want it

- Am very critical of pictures of myself- I almost never think I look good in photos

- Suffer from the human condition

- Am not nearly as bitchy as I'm made out to be

- Am really quite silly- but I think a lot of my photos express that- or at least I hope so

- Am dismayed at how old I am- I wanted the aging process to freeze at 24

- I used to absolutely hate my feet - Now it's less so

- Absolutely love my car, in a way one loves a pet or small, mechanical family member

- I'm not really attracted to anyone at the moment, it's kind of depressing

Pardon the pun, I tend to randomly drive around when I'm sorting through something.

Just got back from game on. Its finishing this weekend. Lot's busier than last time but just as good. Impressions:

- just as smelly, dark as pinball parlours of old

- had to que to play and still filled with those pesky people who hog the consoles except they have got younger

- the older consoles ('70s-'80's) seemed to be more fun to play probably because of the purpose built controls & cabinet.

- liked pac-man, defender, rez a lot of the psp console games. very colourful and fun to play.

- quite a few lame games. it's not just the graphics that make them fun to play

Unfortunately couldn't take any pics inside (managed to get one this time) but plenty of good times where had. Over 125 consoles to play, different platforms, eras.

Too much fun.
