**FGR Celebrates it's Birthday with Tributes and CopyCats**

We all know that Clem is a KNOB,

so it was obvious to me that there was no one better to pay tribute to!

After all, this whole freakin thing is his fault!!!

And I think this guy had something to do with it too!

April 10th - Booze 'n' Bokeh, Too Cheap for a Studio Portraits, and Cinematic Moments.

HAPPY DAY 100 TO ME! I can't believe I've already made it this far, and I haven't missed a day either! Woo hoo! Maybe I'll have a celebratory buttery nipple shot (1 shot Bailey's Irish cream, 1 shot butterscotch schnapps) to start the day right :-D

My regular "studio" is our guest bathroom. It has great lighting and a long, bare wall that works great for a backdrop. I shot in the living room instead today, with the Bailey's on the end of the kitchen counter. The lighting adjustment was kind of a pain. I opened all the windows behind the camera, but because it is overcast today it didn't produce much light. I turned on the living room light and the dining room light (off camera to the right) and kept the kitchen light (above camera) off. I had to play with my exposure settings a bit before being satisfied with the light, hence the slightly crappy bokeh.

Cinematic Moment: "That was one crazy party. I am hung over.

I woke up on the floor of some Japanese family's rec room, and they would NOT stop screaming.

I ate a big, red candle." - Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

TRF: My dad, Eric, and I are driving to Fremont Newark tonight for a memorial/"celebration of life" for my great uncle.

Okay then…on this site www.flickr.com/groups/gameon/ we are being asked to share things about ourselves that you may not know.

I have decided to do this know as I travel towards the end of my 365days project.

Being honest with my photos on a daily basis has been very strange at times as I am really quite a private person…but I am glad I have done this….I am glad that many of you have shared my journey with so much warmth, humility and love. I never expected anything…but what I received has been a revelation in how wonderful the world truely is.

I was born in Hammersmith London on May 4th 1961.

I had a sister, named Jane, who died before I was born but who I think about with love every day.

I have a brother who I have not seen for 7 years. I love him but it’s not reciprocal.

My father was a London Taxi driver now retired.

My mother was an accountant now retired.

I love them both unconditionally, although I do not have contact with them, their choice not mine.

My grandparents meant the whole world to me and I often dream about them.

I was married at 18 and divorced at 20, leaving behind damage both physically and mentally.

I learnt only this year that he took his own life a few years ago. www.flickr.com/photos/lupusphotos/488511290/in/set-721575...

I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama having secured a place at the age of 13.

I played Sally Bowles in ‘Caberet’ in Kensington London and was personally acclaimed by critics who had seen every professional production.

I ran a theatre school in Battersea for 18 years teaching over 200 young people every week.

I was the first group in London to accept children with learning and physical difficulties.

I met my husband, Ray Russell www.rayrussell.co.uk/ in 1983 at a Lulu concert when I was going out with the drummer.

We have been married for 22 years.

I have sat next to Tina Turner and she liked my jeans....lol...

I have been mugged three times.

I plant a Salix tree and a yellow rose bush wherever I live.

I had a stroke at 34 years old.

I had cancer at 37 and went into a coma when I was 39.

I once took a man to court for wrecklessly driving through a flock of pigeons and killing them.

I had to collect the ‘evidence’, put it in my freezer to present to court. I won and he was fined.

I have a passion for cocktail cherries, rain, the Navajo Indians, forensic science and pencils.

I lived in a haunted house.

I am frightened by bats.

I dislike cold custard, cruelty in any form, and especially dishonesty as I have seen so much and been hurt by what I have seen.

If there is anything you wish to ask me you are welcome…and I will answer…

Flickr Group Roulette: Low Down

I was pretty quick to jump on the flickr group roulette when i realized it could easily disregard my face today... I do not feel well... at all!

however, on a happier note: I get to display my mis-matched monkey socks... and this song was discovered today and strikes an oh so happy and familiar chord for this time... yay!

I turn around you're there again and suddenly you're gone

I wanna get to know you but I don't know who you are

Your the kind of girl who makes me start to lose my mind

I wanna get together but you're oh so hard to find

I see you when I'm at the Starbucks as you're walkin out the door

I see you when I'm rentin' movies, when you're leaving the store

I need an opportunity, there's something I wanna ask

I never seem to ever get the chance

What's your name, what's your name

Oh I really wanna know

You got me going crazy and I want you more and more

Oh hey this could be something real, I gotta let you know the way I feel

What's your name, What's your name

Oh I really wanna know

Cuz everytime I get there that it's right before you go

Oh hey if only you could see

I wanna get to know you and to get you knowing me

See you at the mall you're hanging out with all your friends

I'm ready, gonna make my move; you go before I get the chance

You know you got me tripping, thinking bout you day and night

But I can't get to know you if you don't know I'm alive

I see you when you're at the beach and your loading up the car

I see you when I'm at the concert then the lights go dark

There's something I got to find out if I ever get the chance

There's only three words I wanna ask

What's your name, what's your name

Oh I really wanna know

You got me going crazy and I want you more and more

Oh hey this could be something real, I gotta let you know the way I feel

What's your name, what's your name

Oh I really wanna know

Cause every time I get there but it's right before you go

Oh hey if only you could see

I wanna get to know you and to get you knowing me - Jesse McCartney

For FGR - Instrument Porn.

I can't really post a story or anything today... my mind is filled with other things, like getting ready to tonight (Longtail's Christmas party at the the Citadelle), cleaning house and doing laundry (Since I probably will be hung over tomorrow), and also with some really recent family trama. Just remember, that life is short... anything can happen.

So, this photo is rushed, with the processing and everything, but I like it.

I just wish I learned how to play guitar better.

April 27th - televisions and Life is Messy.

Flickr, meet The chameleon. This big, badass television just recently took up residence in our garage. It lived with the boys when my boyfriend and his two best friends were roommates, but now that everyone has moved on to live with their girlfriends or elsewhere, the chameleon was left with no where to go... so it came to live with us. The TV got its nickname - "chameleon" - because it has doors on either side that close over the television screen, thus hiding the fact that it is a TV. With the doors closed, it just looks like a giant mass of wood. The chameleon is actually plugged in and hooked up to a DVD player and sits in front of a couch and other seating arranged in the hang-out area of the garage where our friends chill when we have parties. This mutha ucka huge, but it sure is fun to have around!

[see notes about all the messy crap in my garage that surrounds the chameleon]

TRF: Yes, I had to do the 10-second dash to get this shot. No, it was not fun.

Before I begin, let me just say...

Flickr Group Roulette made me do it!

As you can see I'm still in a bit of a dark black and white mood as of late. I actually took this during lunch yesterday and processed it toady.

To distract you away from my large nose though, here are 5 random things you didn't know about me:

#1: My favourite sandwiches are cheese and ham (see evidence above)

#2: I love Reese's peanut butter chocolate cupcakes, but I only know of two shops that sell them near me.

#3: I can play the piano and the guitar and recored a EP of 4 songs when I was at college.

#4: I am a water baby. Legend has it that I was born still inside the amniotic sac. Apparently that means I will never drown!

#5: I once told my Mum that I'd put my sweetie wrappers in the bin, when in fact I'd actually shoved them down that back of the chest freezer we used to have in our hallway (Sorry Mum, I was only little though!)

This is my town

"There is no place like Richmond on the face of the globe...surely a jewel in the Southern crown...fairer far than Heaven." - Douglas Southall Freeman

Flickr Group Roulette has asked us to show off our hometown beauties...where we live, where we call home.

Richmond, Virginia is my home. One picture could not do this city justice. In fact the compliation here does even begin to begin to scratch the surface. But, here is a few of our hometown beauties...

1. Monument Avenue - You have to walk or drive down this magnificent avenue to take in its beauty. The cobblestone pavement, large median in which you can walk, jog, and they do have festivals. The monuments of Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Jefferson Davis, Matthew Maury, Arthur Ashe. The houses along Monument Avenue are magnificent. It is an experience to travel this street.

2. James River - The James River passes through downtown Richmond, falling 100 feet in elevation as it flows through Richmond, it features the only urban class 5 rapids in America. The city has provided a decent park system along the banks of the river. There's also the Canal Walk which follows the canals surveyed out by George Washington. The Triple Cross isn't too far from where I'm standing. The only place in the world where 3 railroads crossed each other.

3. Virginia State Capitol - Thomas Jefferson designed this buildling. It houses the oldest legislative body in the Western Hemisphere. The only statue George Washington posed for is in there. It also housed the Congress of the Confederate States. Notable people of history from Jefferson, all the way to Queen Elizabeth II have walked the halls of the VA State Capitiol.

4. Oldest Masonic Lodge in America - With the sequel to National Treasure about to come out, I'd thought I'd submit this in here.

5. Edgar Allen Poe Museum - If you're a fan of poetry, then you know about Edgar Allen Poe. He lived here in Richmond where he was raised. The house he lived in is now a museum, it is also the oldest structure in Richmond.

6. St. John's Church - Patrick Henry gave his famous "Give me liberty, or give me death!" speech here in 1775. The church is still standing and every Sunday you can go and witness a reenactment of Henry's speech.

7. Libby Hill Park - You stand here and can look out for miles around you. You see why Richmond was given its name. When William Byrd looked out from this point he was reminded of Richmond upon Thames in England.

8. The View that named a City - a plaque depicts the similar scene in Richmond upon Thames in England and why Richmond, Virginia got its name.

This is my town, I love it.

(these pictures will be individually uploaded to flickr as well so you can get a better look)

For the FGR theme and my girl heathre's day

*Manic Mondays*

I am currently my own boss so the boss man is the PHB devil that sits on my shoulder telling me(constantly) I have work to do. As an artist, Christmas is a busy time for me. So my days sort of blend into one another. Much like the mess I made across my face. Yep, total dork. Now back to work at nearly 12 midnight.

Manic Monday

♫ ...t's just another manic Monday

I wish it was Sunday

'Cause that's my funday

My I don't have to runday

It's just another manic Monday...♫

Currently #239 in Explore. Thanks again. :)

FGR wanted us to destroy stuff today. Sadly, the banana bread didn't survive the encounter.

Strobist info: 430EX sitting photo right, popped using my cheap eBay remote and covered with the lightdome. It was pointed away and bounced off white cabinets to further soften the light. Kinda weird—you'd think a harsh sentiment would want harsh light, but this let the bread be the focus. The flash was at 1/64 power.

For FGR – Now Get Back To Work.

My first FGR which wasn't for my 366 of 2008. Also my first self portrait since the end of my project.

It's a bit rough to start FGR for the year (at least start it for me) with back to work. Fortunately, I was working from home today, so I didn't have to wait for the bus in -8°C.

Anyway, this is pretty much what I do at work when not doing work: Thinking. I'm in an incredibly thoughtful phase at the moment, so I'll just spend our sitting staring at nothing just thinking. I don't know if I have a mild depression, or if it's just the post-366 blues.

(btw, it's totally weird not writing my 366 tags all the time, especially on a self portrait.)

The moment hangs in the air, stretched between two wills—one refusing to be stopped, the other refusing to let go. The ball carrier charges forward, eyes locked on the horizon, heart pounding like a war drum. But the defender meets him with unwavering resolve, arms outstretched, body bracing for impact.

Hair whips in the wind, breaths collide in the space between them, and time slows as the battle unfolds. Neither backs down. Neither yields. In this fleeting instant, the game is distilled into its purest form—strength against strength, heart against heart. It is not just about winning or losing. It is about proving that you were here, that you fought, that you gave everything.

FGR invades I Love Paper Fun!

Paper beats rock, bitches.

...don't tell scissors.

Lastly, I finally bought myself a pro account. I got this far without having to do it, but truthfully, I'm honored to hand over 25 bucks to what is easily my most favorite website in the universe. We all try so hard not to pay for 1's and 0's, but to be honest, these amazing programmers deserve it more than a lot more than the people to whom we normally throw our money at. *cough* prostitutes *cough*

Thanks, Flickr.

That said, now I can post fun things like outtakes.

Ok, wow, ready for this? Ok, today for FGR it was Mikey aka DaSkinnyBlackMan day to pick a group which was Jump for Mikey (The Jedi of Jump), Half Nekkid Thursdays, Quotes and Quotations, and it had to be a the Black and white self portraits

Black and white. With that being said I said Fugg it, and I figured one more group wouldn't hurt, so I also did Happy Aloha Thursday - HAT

I think that just about covers all of them.

I actually did a backflip on this one... Man I bet Em will be pissed when she sees her side of the bed is ruined. lmao

For FGR - www.flickr.com/groups/andilickedit/.

I am freaking exhausted today. All I want to do is crawl into bed and sleep. I don't know what I did to make me feel this way... and of course, we just got LittleBigPlanet today too, but it looks like I won't be able to play it until much later.

It wasn't too cold (it's actually QUITE warm) today either, and I didn't need my hat, but I wanted to control my wild and poofy hair today, so I put it on.

The song that's playing on my MP3 player is Ridiculous Thoughts by The Cranberries. There's a never-ending amount of those kind of thoughts in my head.

FGR - Desk Thursday

And in case you didn't know...I totally don't have a desk job. I slang sushi at the wasabi lobby in sushi city....nah, jk but wouldn't that be a kickass place to eat at? Our restaurant is called Asian Sea Grill & Sushi Bar, and it's still pretty hip because I'm there an all...and I love my job. I like to think I'm a badass waitress, but it's not really all that hard...and I'm really glad I don't work at a place that serves ranch!

lol. My boss was such a dork about this. He was totally not havin' it lol. He has no idea what goes on between these ears...I told him I was like a big little kid and to just let me have fun :P

Anyway, here's my office!!

Flickr Group Roulette wanted to catch me when I didn't know I was being photographed. So here I am, geeking out.

What I really wanted was a 1TB NAS box, that I would configure via RAID into a 500GB storage volume with redundancy. I kept wanting it, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay the premium. I'll eventually build myself a Linux computer with RAID and do it myself, but for now I just bought an USB external drive.

I tossed away the EZ Windoze crap and am rebuilding the drive into a Ubuntu boot device with a 490GB partition for backing stuff onto. I can take the drive to the office, plug it in when I boot, and work without the SysAdmins watching my keystrokes. Lately they have been bogging my computer down with XP oversight stuff, and I have been booting to Ubuntu at lunch using a 2MB thumb drive. This will be faster and more persistent.

So the photographer here caught me partitioning the USB disk using my office laptop, while using the old laptop and desktop too. Note that the 466Mhz desktop with 512MB RAM smokes the Windows XP laptop that runs at 1.2GHz with 2GB RAM. XP is s-l-o-w people.

It's Kendra's birthday, so she picked Wacky Wednesdays for FGR. This month, FGR wants us to pick groups we admin, and Kendra only admins porn groups. So, she created this Wacky Wednesdays.

Last time I saw a cat sitting in a sink, it was this incredible creature. So when my cat surprised us by doing so, I knew it was wacky!

Happy Birthday Mija!

Casper Update 7/22

I have been blessed by so much support, that I want to update you on Casper. First, thank you for your encouragement and support. You amaze me.

Yesterday morning was bad for me. Casper wasn't eating and he wasn't drinking. He had been up all night yowling. Clearly, he was fading fast.

Much of the problem is that he is having kidney failure, which the doctor thinks might be resolved if we can "jump start" his kidneys and keep him hydrated. That's why we are injecting him with saline under his skin. His body absorbs the fluid and he is hydrated. It doesn't seem to hurt him at all, and provides a benefit. We can get past our squeamishness over stabbing a creature with needles, when we know it will give him a chance to live.

A side-effect of kidney failure is an increase in nitrogen, I think, in his stomach. The result is that he probably has a stomach ulcer. It hurts him to eat. He got a shot of Pepcid on Monday, and seemed much improved. But then, Monday night he got weak.

The thing is, cats will stop eating and it is hard to get them to start again. They stop, starve, and die. They have no body fat, so they die. We could see this happening before our own eyes. Casper wasn't eating, and was nearing the end.

But, a friend of ours showed us some information on what they call "Feline Assisted Feeding". In short, you force the cat to eat by using a syringe to squirt food into their swallow zone. The cat will get the calories they need to live, and will eventually get strong enough to want to begin feeding on their own.

So that is where we are now. We have begun giving Casper food via a syringe, hoping to keep him alive so that the subcutaneous hydration will jump start his kidneys, and he will begin feeding. We don't want him to starve while we are working on his kidneys.

If he goes into renal failure... so be it. But he won't starve before that.

As a man, I feel much better now that I am doing something. It's a man thing to want to actively solve a problem. Doing nothing was torment. Seeing him peppy this morning lifted my spirits enormously.

So, that's where we are: able to celebrate a very Wacky Wednesday with a live cat. I feel blessed.

For Flickr Group Roulette and Bubbles.

As soon as I saw the group I knew I wanted to blow a giant bubblegum bubble. I remember as a kid trying to learn how to blow a bubble and the joy I felt when I finally figured it out. I still get a lot of pleasure from blowing a really big bubble.

for today's FGR : reimagining movies.

i was having a tough time coming up with any specific memorable movie moment, so i decided to do an entire genre, wrap myself in some TP, and do an homage to the entire mummy movie genre.

i wanted to wrap myself entirely but the stupid single-ply that we had at home didn't want to cooperate and kept snapping. after a few attempts running back and forth to my camera, i began to unravel.

i think it's pretty fun though.

(but what's with my recurring bathroom-theme?)

in other thoughts, i'm seriously considering returning to film. in talking to people on flickr, i'm amazed at how many people have never even shot film. i love it. i wish i could just shoot film forever. plus, it doesn't help much that all i've got is a mediocre point-and-shoot digital camera. meanwhile, i've also got a perfectly good lubitel tlr, a 35mm nikon, and an actionsampler. between the three of those, i feel like i could be producing much better work than i can with my stupid digi.

i'm going to look into some photo places around here and maybe try shooting some of both for a bit and see how it goes. i'm so slow with uploading my 365 shots anyhow, it'll just make the entire process a lot further behind. but it might be worth it in the long run.

the only other downside is that the major time lapse will be a major hindrance on my fgr participation :(

we shall see.

besides, i really don't trust digital storage. i've had too many harddrives and dvd-r's fail on me.

For FGR - Boobie-Thon 2008!.

This isn't something I'm totally 100% comfortable showing, but it's for a cause, so don't be afraid to donate and I've already submitted the photo above (twice I think), but I don't think it's good enough (like most of my pictures). I even broke out my most frilly bra for the occasion.

This is the first time I've used a texture, and did some other photoshop/gimp stuff... I think I'm pleased with it...

For 365 Days, FGR, TRP, and February's Alphabet Fun.

February 10th - Back-Sight / 背影, What is your Passion?, and The Letter J.

J is for jaw.

This is a major cheat on my part (or is it?) because I couldn't think of how to put all 3 themes together into one photo, so I put 3 photos together! I figure since they're all body parts and are all b&w with selective color that I could get away with it.

1) My back side: this is my first tattoo, I got it just before my 20th birthday. The design itself is not of specific importance to me; I just looked around for a star pattern that I liked and this was it, although it's altered a little bit from the original picture. And I know what you're about to say and I'll just save you time and say it for you - tramp stamp. I'm fine with it :-)

2) My passion: American Sign Language. It is my major in college and tomorrow I have on-site orientation where I will be completing my field work in the deaf community. ASL is a beautiful language, and my passion is to learn and study it as much as possible, and of course increase my conversational fluency. This is the sign for "I love you," most appropriate for the upcoming Valentine's holiday.

3) This is my jaw... the only body part that I could think of that starts with the letter J and would give opportunity for selective coloring. I think it came out okay!

Stop judging me now.

...and stop laughing.

Seriously, stop.

Other trendy crap present in this photo would be the return of the Rubik's Cube (with baseball motif of course).

Happy Bunny which I happen to like still like no matter what people say.

TOTW : Fashionista

But my jeans and Chucks are classics and never go out of fashion ever. NEVER ever!

Flickr Group Roulette: Flashlight-Mirror-Selfportrait

despite many folks' initial confusion (including my own) this does not inherently refer to using an actual flashlight (as one might whilst camping...) but, is in fact, more aptly intending to refer to the flash of light made by your camera...

a morning bathroom break got me a smidge inspired, as that 3rd floor bathroom is always rather dark, so the flash would go off no matter what... so, I smuggled my camera with me on an afternoon potty break... and got quite the set.

Not-So-Strobist info: in camera flash, slightly obscured/refracted by a handheld (not directly on top of, more "floating above and around") white paper towel.

The storm rages, but the game does not pause. Water streaks through the air, mixing with mud and sweat, but the fight remains fierce. One surges forward, eyes locked on the try line, heart pounding with the rhythm of the rain. The other lunges, grasping with every ounce of effort, clinging to the moment where the game is won or lost.

The jerseys stretch, bodies collide, legs kick against the weight of resistance. Yet, for all the chaos, there is a clarity—a single goal, a singular drive, a battle that neither side is willing to surrender. The rain does not wash away their determination; it only makes the moment more unforgettable.

#WeAreOlympiacos

Today's flickr group roulette challenge was Super Dork, so I had no choice but to play along. I had this costume lying around from a few Halloweens ago and figured it was perfect for my new alter ego, El Trojan de Oro (aka The Golden Trojan)!

I really liked this classic "superhero staring off courageously into the distance" look, but I decided to make my primary picture for the day my flying photo!

FGR today takes us to I wish, which tells us, "Please put what your wish is in the description so we can all have a look and hope that it can come true." The problem is that I don't think wishes come true.

I believe that most of the things I desire, I could achieve if I really wanted. I could be rich if I worked hard enough. I could be lean if I wanted to be. Good looks could be mine with proper application of plastic surgery. In short, I have what I deserve and if I wanted something else, I could get it.

So wishes are reserved for things I cannot have. Wishes are for intrinsic gifts that The Creator has decided in His wisdom to not endow me with. Wishes are not for things I do not have, wishes are for things I cannot be.

And today, I wish I could have talent. Real photographic talent. Not skill, because I can learn that. I understand the interplay of light, and am learning how to control it. No, I wish that I had an eye to see the beauty in that way those with talent possess. An innate sense of form and palette... artistry.

I can't learn that, and I know it. I will ever be the lesser being because I am simply ungifted. I wish I were.

So, here I have a choice. I can wallow in self-pity. I can envy those I admire. Or I can choice to receive the joy their mad skillz create in me.

I choose the latter, thanking Him for creating such people and placing them in my life. Please look at,

These are people who see things that I in my inferiority do not see. I wish I did.

For FGR - New Years Resolutions.

1. Rid my accumulation of credit card debt.

2. Lose 50 lbs this year

3. Stop stressing out about my photos

4. Work on being less paranoid/neurotic.

Just to name a few things I would like to work on this year. I was able to keep last years (stop smoking), so I know I can keep at least one of these.

For FGR's At Arm's Length Self-Portraits and 16 Things (which dCap tagged me for).

Ran out of breath walking up Grubbit Law, so I sat down at took a photo of me recovering. No make-up, no fancy lights. So now I have to tell you 16 random things about me...

1. I sleep with a teddy bear called Bear Growls (named after the quite possibly insane SAS guy, Bear Grylls). I quite often talk to Bear too, he's quite good at listening ;)

2. I have a degree in photography. However it was fine art based and I know how to develop, print and hand make books, things not quite so relevant now in this digital age.

3. I prefer watching episodes of tv shows all in one go rather than once a week. This means I'm way behind on everything.

4. I don't like photos of me so I've no idea why I keep doing self portraits! I guess it's a bit like therapy.

5. I don't have a car and don't feel like I need one.

6. I suffer from vertigo and hate going on Northern Line escalators. I'd much rather walk.

7. I'm only 5 foot tall.

8. I'm quite obsessive about only eating happy chicken (or as other people call it high welfare). This also applies to eggs and anything including eggs. It makes you realise just how many chickens are squished up in cages just to provide people with cheap products.

9. Buying lingerie cheers me up.

10. I think David Attenborough is the coolest man on TV. It's sad to think he may not have many years left in his life.

11. I can be quite shy until I get to know someone.

12. I like geeks.

13. I break things for a living and I'm good at it. Well, software in particular.

14. I'm rubbish at relationships, my longest being 2 years. I like my independence and I think I've got set in my ways being single so long. I miss cuddles the most.

15. I don't like normal tea but I drink a wide variety of funny teas; rooibos, nettle, mint, fruit, jasmine, etc. Black tea makes me feel sick.

16. Right this minute I'm watching Wall-E for the 4th time (once it was with audio decription turned on - hilarious).

Phew, that was tough! Thanks dCap :p

FGR: Shadow Play

Went to DCA and Disneyland with friends (again, I know), and I was on a mission. I wanted to incorporate FGR's theme today into my photo hunt. I told my friend, I want a kid, maybe with Mickey ears, and his shadow on the ground...that's easy to find, right? Except for little kids are running around at 10mph, and it's so difficult to anticipate that!

And then...this shot fell RIGHT in front of me!

*sigh*

So, FGR today asked those of us who are failures as photographers to participate. I'm surprised I wasn't elected president of the club.

For one thing, I am in the midst of experiencing the lamest of tropical storms, Edouard. To start with, what is up with the spelling? Lame. Then Eddie took a hard right last night, and has missed Houston. This, after Jamie's office decided to close for the morning. Thus, I am working from home until the afternoon.

I went outside to showcase the failure that is Eduoard, but couldn't get the wireless trigger to work. How about turning it on? Then, when I did turn it on, it began to rain. Fail.

Might as well show the wireless at this point, eh? Weak.

At least I'm cute, right? Ha.

That's me, king of the failed photographers today.

Yes I am a pirate, two hundred years too late

The cannons don't thunder, theres nothing to plunder

I'm an over forty victim of fate

Arriving too late, arriving too late.

I've done a bit of smugglin, I've run my share of grass

I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast

Never meant to last, never meant to last.

And I have been drunk now for over two weeks

I passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks

But I got stop wishin', got to go fishin'

Down to rock bottom again

Just a few friends, just a few friends.........
