The small town Hell that's located right next to Trondheim Airport, so it might be the airport closest to Hell?!

The best thing is, the train also stops in Hell.

A little funfact:

Hell in norwegian means luck

Yea it is the Baker Building in Keokuk, Iowa, formerly the Kellogg-Birge Company. Yea it was built in 1907, according to a newspaper article reprinted in this Facebook post. Seems like this funfact ought to be recorded in some kind of professionally managed information source!, an online database maybe!, someplace better than Facebook!, something with a clearly-expressed long-term commitment to serving the public interest!, but oh well.

On this Sanborn Fire Insurance Map from 1910 the Kellogg-Birge Company is described as "m'f'rs. of candy-syrup-preserves etc." Also it says there was a coffee roaster on the 4th floor. M'f'rs!

The yellow and red plastic temporary refuse chute, and the shadow it casts, are interfering with my enjoyment of the trompe-l'œil mural of Black Hawk, from 1992, on this, the "Best Building" in Rock Island Ill., from 1908, named by the businessman Louis P. Best in honor of himself.

Huge funfact, there was a Montgomery Ward department store in the building from the 1930s to the mid-1970s, replacing earlier department stores. I still wear some of the shirts and pants I bought there.

With nothing but a smile, some police let me into the restricted area of Luxor temple, where they store all of the un-restored rocks they have found. There are literally thousands of rocks, stacked neatly in piles.

I know I'm a little early--I have a new kitten so I do things before he lies across my laptop. It is #Tuesday (for some already) and it's #Legolas Fun Facts. Though the books are based on #Tolkien, little is known about the private life of Elves (which is the point of the stories). I decided to "share" a little about Legolas' childhood. A favorite to some is his foster brother Tarthôn and little sister Isílriel (from the Extended Versions). I personally adore little Legolas. He's extraordinarily gifted with getting away with things--like his decision to save Woodland creatures from the "evil" outside. He got a pet squirrel out of it. He named it "Lasimë" which is baby talk Quenya for "Leafy". I can't wait to share things about his adolescence.
