I know I'm a little early--I have a new kitten so I do things before he lies across my laptop. It is #Tuesday (for some already) and it's #Legolas Fun Facts. Though the books are based on #Tolkien, little is known about the private life of Elves (which is the point of the stories). I decided to "share" a little about Legolas' childhood. A favorite to some is his foster brother Tarthôn and little sister Isílriel (from the Extended Versions). I personally adore little Legolas. He's extraordinarily gifted with getting away with things--like his decision to save Woodland creatures from the "evil" outside. He got a pet squirrel out of it. He named it "Lasimë" which is baby talk Quenya for "Leafy". I can't wait to share things about his adolescence.

A few weeks back the sweeet Audrey from A brunch at Audrey’s tagged us for the versatile blog award to share 7 facts about us. Let’s see if we can share something relatable to any of you! ... Keep reading on the blog
Trying to keep up with my students in my Typography course at Northwest College. This project had to be two spot colors and some elements had to be created with pressure-sensitive type.
Peacock funfacts:
Many of the brilliant colours of the peacock plumage are due to an optical interference phenomenon (Bragg reflection) based on (nearly) periodic nanostructures found in the barbules (fiber-like components) of the feathers.
In recent years scientific research has shown that the size and brilliance of a male's plumage does not meaningfully correlate with his mating success nor his health, and that instead the key factor for attracting females is the vocalizations made prior to mating.
Peafowl are omnivorous and eat ticks, termites, ants, locusts, rodents, plant parts, flower petals, seed heads, scorpions and other arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians.

Candids
One of the hardest aspects of starting out in street photography is building the confidence to take pictures candidly.Chances are, you don't want a subject to see you and get angry - or start smiling for the camera (although it's good to get a few examples of this type of shot in the bag, just to add variety to your street photography portfolio).Shooting candids is likely to mean working at the longer end of a zoom lens's range, but remember that this may draw attention to you.In the UK you're free to take photos of people in public places, but bear in mind the sensitivities of certain subjects and locations.
Take some example photos with you so that you can show that you have a passion for photography if you are confronted on the street.
