Oh God, this is going to take forever. This is the first part of a soft, embroidered felt sculpture, a Brucilla kit by Mary Engelbreit. I WILL finish this, even if it takes another year.

This is common on Springers - I just like the way the wheel actually connects to the forks...

here is the front...all done in fabric on wood- it got a bit tricky with all the strings and all in the way- ha ha

White-fronted Falconet with Dollarbird... With a size of 14-17cm, they are one of the smallest "bird of prey" in the world, and endemic to the island of Borneo. Unfortunately, they are listed as "near threatened" (IUCN)

Conservation status (IUCN): NEAR THREATENED

Sometime the most beautiful things are at home right undr your nose.

I have been wandering near and far in search of wildflowers. After on hike I got out of my car to notice for the first time that mydrive way roses were blooming in full forces with out of this world beauty.

It was an mixed sunny/overcast day providing a wonderful soft light. So I started taking images. This is one of my favorites of the batch!

I love summer time when I can fill the arches on the front porch with flowers.

They saw the mushrooms and the carpet of spent Russian sage flowers and they descended in droves.

Is there anything worse than putting up something that screams "Your PS skills suck!"? :-D
